1wk down, 9lbs gone!!!

[B]Hello
Im Katie. I'm a 30yr old single mom with a 5 yr old son from Oregon.
I started this whole low carb thing Jan 13th after FINALLY saying enough is enough. Ive been over weight most of my life and have had my ups and downs with weight but could never get to a weight that I wanted to be at and when I was it was always short lived.

So this is my first real attempt and my last to make low carbin a WOE. I'm so very pleased with my first week that it def. has pushed me to keep this up. I have a long road of ahead of me but I know I can do it. My all time heaviest was 225 (250 full term with my son). After my relationship with my son's father ended I got to 190, but over a period of time I got up to 204ish and that's where I was over the summer but too much good food and not caring got me to 215. Now after the holidays are over Im DONE. My goal is to be at 160 by June for my Birthday but I have my ticker set at 170. I'm just 7lbs away from being under 200 and I hope to make that within my second week of induction.

I would love to meet and make new friends and have a great support group.

Welcome! This is a great forum and an excellent way to stay focused and strong! Keep up the good work and don't get discouraged if you don't lose as much the second week -- that is normal! Look forward to sharing ideas and success stories!

Welcome Katie. This program will work for you. Keep your carbs down to below 20 and eat the foods on the Induction List and you will do great.
