I really dont have any suggestions other than you just need to push through the craving. I know it sounds easier said than done but dont give in...stay strong and just keep telling yourself that, that 4lbs loss is going to turn into 8lbs loss. If you give in now you will ruin your efforts! Hang in there, you can kick that cake craving in the butt!!

I wont give in - am determined to do this right
Does anyone have any recipes for anything sweet suitable for induction? I bought some sugar free jelly (jello) earlier which I will have with cream later but dont think it'll quite hit the spot ![]() |

try making a LC cheesecake. It isn't totally induction friendly as it has soft cheese in but I find it is much better that ending up caving totally instead. There are loads of good recipes on here for it. I tend to make it very simply with cream cheese, sf jelly and a little cream

Thanks jacquirsw - I see you are in the UK too, I've found a lot of the recipes on here have ingredients that I've never heard of! Ill have a look for a cheesecake one tho - which cream cheese do you recommend?

hi Cookie
Yeah I am in the UK - Cheshire. I tend to just use full fat philly couple of tubs, whisk that up with a small amount of double cream. then I use the sugar free jelly packets (lime or lemon is my favourite) and a drop of vanilla essence. The only thing to watch is when doing the jelly to mix in it needs to have less water than if you were just making a jelly, I tend to use about 1/2 as this way it sets but doesn't go rubbery. I will admit though the first few were not always great and it has been about playing around with the recipe to get it how I prefer it. I even chucked a couple along the way that went wrong. But I will say it is really worth persevering, specially for those totm cravings.

I had cake tonight! Here, let me find you the LFC post.
A Fantastic Flour Mix I make this, with an egg instead of powdered egg, 3 tbsp of Torani's syrup instead of the sweeteners she lists (gingerbread!) and 1 tbsp of cinnamon for spices. You can use whatever sweetener/spices you want to change it up. It's freaking fantastic and a really large single serving cake. I only nuke for 2.5 mins, because 3 mins makes mine a bit dry, but still yummy. |

Cream cheese is considered safe for induction.
Cheesecake (with nutrition label) LC chocolate cupcakes for the win! (You can use butter instead of coconut oil -- I just like the flavor.) |

know what you are going through.... on Monday I wanted a roast beef sandwich from Subway.... but I talked myself out of it.... and I went and did my water aerobics for an hour... that helped... I am never hungry after I do my aerobics.... then I looked up the carbs for the RB sandwich... and it said 40 carbs.. and I think that was only for the RB and bread... and not the veggies .... wow.... that is alot of carbs for one sandwich.....
so glad that you were strong... keep up the good work.... |

Pawley -- you know that Subway will do any sandwich as a salad, right?
Next time, order yourself that roast beef -- only ask 'em to do it up as a spinach salad for you! Add olives, cucumbers, cheese, etc., and you'll have something legal without all that bready carbage. |
