Hopefully the link will work, I went to Linda Sue's sight and was looking at her recipe (Saucy Dijon Herb Chicken) - she updates her recipes with tips at the bottom she referenced the one from Frenchs so that is the one I tried

CHICKEN WITH CREAMY DIJON HERB SAUCE Recipe | Great Recipes from FRENCH'S Foods

My daughter turned her nose up at it, then she took a bite of mine, the proceeded to eat two pieces of the saucy chicken - she said she really liked it and so did I!

I'm on week #3 right now, approaching a month on Induction. I'm down about 10 pounds but seem to have stalled. Keto sticks are showing positive EVERY TIME I test. My diet includes pre-cooked burger patties, broccoli, chicken, lots of eggs/cheese, all things I've eaten in the past when I was last on Induction and lost over 80lbs. I'm trying to adjust one thing at a time to see if it helps. I've started weening myself off of diet soda to see if that will do it. Needless to say I'm frustrated.

Hello all! I'm on day 3 now, and I'm doing pretty well! I woke up too early, so I ate a serving of almonds. In awhile for breakfast I'm going to have a smoothie with unsweetened almond milk, scrambled eggs and 2 vegan sausage patties. Not sure what I'm having for lunch (I tend to skip lunch, need to stop doing that), and I have 2 chicken breasts for dinner. I'm going to check out Linda's Recipes for more creative ways too cook them.

I'm glad everyone is doing well! I actually hid my scale (I tend to compulsively weigh myself), and will measure my fat loss via a pair of jeans I haven't been able to fit into in well over a year

Everytime, it's different.
Try to eat less cheese. Many people experience that cheese makes them stall and as soon as they eat less of it, their weight-loss begins again.

You are very welcome. I hope it helped. Also, what other people mention is portion control. That's another way of breaking through a stall. Try that for a week.

My portions have been pretty reasonable, especially given my size and the massive portions I used to eat when previously trying low carb. I'll pig out on eggs and bacon on a saturday morning. But other than that my appetite is certainly smaller.

Thanks again.

Hello all!!
I'm late to this party but wanted to join I started Atkins three weeks ago and have lost 16 lbs so far. Staying on induction but wondered about adding in almond milk, would that be transitioning? Also if y'all had some recipes for favorite smoothies.
Thanks,
Lyndzee

For me today:

coffee with coconut milk and HWC
ground turkey stir-fry with kale, cauliflower on butter, and tomato mild salsa (organic). - oh, it was so yummy.
I didn't eat much for dinner. I made pancakes from coconut flour, eggs, coconut milk, salt and vanilla extract + I had decaf.coffee. I cheated with some spicy peanuts from Walmart's Hot Cajun Mix and sugar free chocolate chips for baking - these taste like the read deal.

Made it through first week of induction, and down 10lbs. I know that will never happen in 1 week again lol. But I will take it. I have kept it pretty simple with food. Just eggs and cheese, salads with iceburg lettuce and whatever meat I have on hand with some ranch dressing and cheese. I found some sweet pickles that uses splenda, so no carbs and they are really good. I have drank some diet soda, not much for it. I freeze a bottle of the sunkist diet orange till its slushy at work and it hits the spot when I am really thirsty. Hope everyone had a great week.

Your off to a great start Lyndzee. I have never used almond milk. I wanted to try the almond flour for a dessert after I am through with induction.

Hello mrwizard,
Sorry induction isn't going as well as you wanted. Some of the precooked patties have fillers and sometimes they can have sugar added to. The very first time I did Atkins it was said to drink Diet Rite only. Which I did back then. I never stalled out the first time I did it. Went from 240 down to 170 in about 6 months, But I was much younger to. lol I hope you start seeing the results you want soon. I know its hard when you don't drop as fast as you want to.

Staring all over again

Hi there. Would love to join this thread. I started Atkins in 2002. Had great success and got down to my goal weight in about six months. As many of you shared, life happened. I lost control of my eating and exercising habits. Consequently, I also lost my good health. I'm back up to over 200 pounds and miserable about it. Yesterday, I listened to my grown children joke about people losing control and weighing over 200 lbs. I was too ashamed to let them know their mom was one of those people who had no control over food. I've been on Atkins Induction since January 6th. Have lost 17 pounds and feeling much better! BP is good, exercising 6 days a week and determined to get to a healthy weight! I'm a Support Manager for a Food Safety company in Charlotte, NC. Been married for 30 years to a wonderful man. He is an IT Prograam Manager for the same company. He is highly supportive and has loved me through thick and thin...literally. May i join you?

Hello!

i everybody,

I would like to join in. After my first week on induction, I'm down 7.2 pounds. It helps that it was the TOM when i started, hence the inflated weight loss! My goal for February is to lose 15 pounds...taking me to 181.

Thanks for the forum!

Hello everyone - sorry I have been MIA since Friday but I am here and still chugging along. I won the weightloss challenge my friends had with a 15 pound lost for the Month of January - woohoo! I won $35.00 (there were only 7 of us). This next time there is 10 so if I could win Feburary that would be $50. So goooooooo me!

Menu:
B: Lowcarb pizza (left over from the Super Bowl and yummy)
L: Pork w/cheese and sour cream (a throw together - still yummy)
D: Sausage with Faux Mashed Potatoes (sounds yummy!)

Hope everyone is is doing good!

I am back. Been MIA due to work (flu hit my office so doing 2-3 people's job) school and illness. Also cause during this it became eat what I could when I could and it was NOt low carb (oh shamrock shakes, why are you so delicious).

But today I am on track, not been happy with how I have felt lately, so this morning I made a batch of Linda Sue's chicken parm bake using pork rind breadcrumbs for lunch and a low carb shake for breakfast. It's a little easier now, the deli in my building started carrying atkins stuff cause of me lol.

How have you all been?

Hi Janna
It's great they have atkins stuff in your building. We have vending machines at work. Only thing in it that's low carb is a twin pack of meat sticks. I work in a nursing home and the flu was really bad a month ago. Now we have a stomach virus that's going around. I will be so glad when spring gets here.

Hi guys! just reading through your thread, wanted to introduce myself. Looking for a few buddies to travel this journey with.

My name is Ammie, I am 31, living in Northern California. I have always been heavy. In 2006, left an abusive relationship and finally got the balls to care for myself. I was 265 lbs, got down to 150 by 2008. In June 2008, my boyfriend came home from the Army, and I felt the pressure to be "normal" and eat whatever.. and well, in the last 4 1/2 years, I have gained 76lbs!! I am now at 226. I feel like crap daily, feel disgusted with myself, lazy, unattractive and in a place I never wanted to return to and always said I would not return to.. obesity.
So here I am, I know LC works, I know I feel awesome on LC.. I keep trying to restart, and am binging on crap by dinner. I know this site is awesome inspiration for me, so here I am..

Hi Ammie! Welcome!

I'm sorry I have been MIA for a few days, been super busy! I'm still chugging along and I have determined if it wasn't for beer I would lose more weight! I just love going to happy hours with my friends!

Well hope everyone has an awesome weekend!

Monica - you could switch to hard liquor and diet coke.. less carbs.. but definitely rougher than beer

Hi, I want to join in. I am restarting tomorrow a.m. Praying I can stay on plan this time for good. I know this needs to be a life long WOE for me. Sugars and starches have been my downfall I know. I have read about how the refined foods, starches and sugars can cause inflammation, and with the way my joints feel, I think I have had too much of all of it. I have lost 26 lbs in the past on low carb. I know it works, I just have to work it. I know coming to this board and reading all the encouraging posts will be a boost to me to know if you can do it, I can too!

Hello all. I would like to join your group. I am restarting Atkins for the 100th time. It always works for me and I feel great on it. Turns out (after lots of pain, MD's, tests etc) I am allergic to gluten. Well, that explains a lot, huh? Unfortunately I have been dealing with stress with the evils of sugar. I guess you can guess what happened to my weight and to my outlook. It is all tied together. So much that we know intellectually but it is so hard to apply to practicality of every day eating.
All that said, my goal is to lose 40 pounds. I am starting today. Wish me luck. I will have to get a base weight tomorrow morning.

count me in

Hello, I'd love to join your buddy program too. I became severely anemic about 18 months ago and almost died. Mostly because I didn't take my vitamins like I should have (gastric bypass surgery in 3/07). Long story short, I'm ok now but gained about 35 lbs. Guess my body was holding on to everything it could.

On Jan. 2nd I went back on adkins. I've dropped about 14 lbs. I discovered "Linda's low carb recipes" and feel like I've hit the jackpot. I LOVE HER.

I can't wait to discover new recipes every day. Just had the microwave cobbler for dessert. So good. Plus, the cheese crisps are better than cheeze its.

Thanks for letting me speak.
