Had a bump of .4 to 236 this morning. Boo. Tried an experiment a couple of days ago involving carbquick. It failed again so I guess I just can't have frankenfoods. Shame. There's so many bread and muffin recipes out there. Just no....Bright side is the love handles are going away. I have had them for at least 20 years.

The weather is so beautiful now. I would love to have the stamina to get out and have a tiny veggie garden. NOT gonna happen.

Hope you all have better luck with losing. It just seems like nobody is doing much this week. Next week for sure.

Hi all. Hope everyone had a great weekend. My home scale is all over the place, I think DS killed it when he was "helping" me move a can of paint and dropped it onto the scale. So not sure where my weight is, will have to check tomorrow at school. I can say that I am wearing a size 10 pair of jeans right now (and not suffering from internal organ damage)! So whether the scale moves or not (thinking not because I am def. PMSing)this is a huge victory.

Down 1.4 to 134.6 today. I guess I'm through with my Carbquik experiment. Ha! Has anyone tried the Pumpkin Bake? I haven't but hear it's really good.

Pumpkin Bake

8 oz cream cheese, softened
5 eggs
1 t vanilla
1 c Splenda or sub
1 t cinnamon
1 1/2 t pumpkin pie spice or apple spice
pumpkin

Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add rest of ingredients. Pour into 6"x8" greased baking dish. 350 for 40 min. Do not freeze
Granulated splenda 228 cal, 18 fat, 9 protein, 9 carb 3 fiber
Liquid splenda 220 cal, 18 fat, 9 protein, 7 carb, 3 fiber

I must try this.

edited: My brain must be on overload. I totally have lost how much pumpkin to add and I can't find recipe. Anyone know? ha

I'm almost to my goal for the month... it's been a rough month with me and the scale I started off quick as lightening.... then stopped and went back up and back down and up and down and I almost threw the stupid scale out the window and drove over it a few hundred times......but I am now 0.4 of a pound away from having lost 20#!!! I think I can do that in the next day, at least I hope I can.

Pumpkin bake looks yummy will have to try it this weekend if I get a day off.
what size can of pumpkin? lil one? or regular one?

Laura: 20 pounds is and awesome accomplishment, way to go.

I fell of the wagon again this weekend. I am however right back on. Seems like every weekend I find a reason to fall off plan. I have a big fishing/hunting trip this weekend coming up which I know i will be off again. I did however get in my workouts even when off plan and that is a huge step in the right direction. I usually just stop it all, but am now continuing the workouts, so that is a big win for me. So hardcore all week then off again for weekend then a big push from May 6th till memorial day weekend. That will be 18 straight days of on plan and hope to lose 18 pounds during that time. With double workout days and VLC I hope to get it done.

Lindy - see the link below for the original recipe and size of can for the pumpkin:

Lindy - congrats on the loss!!! The pumpkin bake is excellent. It makes really big serving sizes. When I make it, I eat one piece as a quick breakfast. It's VERY filling.

Ahhhh....just lost my stinkin post somehow when I was quoting Lindy. It basically said that I'm back on track and ready to rumble.

Kemp - Good job getting back on track after the weekends off. That's the key. I know you'll hit your memorial day goal.

Laura - WTG on 20 pounds. You're doing awesome!!! And see the link above for more info on the pumpkin bake. It's awesome.

Terra - Your scale story made me laugh a little. Gotta love our little helpers. WTG on size 10. That's really awesome. I'd be so happy to be a size 10. Last time I was in high school.

Just finished eating lunch and feel good. Tired, but that's because I didn't sleep much last night. Guess I was too anxious to start and get back on track.

Down another lb. to 233.6. The only things I am doing different are lowering my calories down to 1400-1500 and I started Braggs ACV 3 days ago. And I started dropping 3 days ago. Hmmmm. Anyhoo any loss is acceptable.

Amber, got my little food scale today. I ordered it on line (you know where) and got it for $7.90 w/ free shipping. It was mailed from China on April 20. wow 9 days. Impressive. Cutest thing ever. And it works great. I thought maybe I was under estimating my oz but no, there is a lot in 4 oz. Going to bed but didn't get in all my calories. I just can't seem to eat enough. What I have been doing is picking chicken breast instead of thighs. Too much protein and not enough fat. Gotta do better.

Weighing in at 232.6. Going down. I was extra tired yesterday and didn't get to check in much. Slept over 10 hrs. Must have needed it. ha May 1st, I think this the month for us folks. We need to really get dedicated to the plan and go for it. Up for it? I am...

Ya'll are doing so awesome!! I was doing great but then my long day turned extremely long and when it was 8pm and I thought I'd be home closer to 6ish or 7, I caved when food was brought in. Only 2.5 more days of this. I may just start Saturday. Today we have catered lunch (not LC) and tomorrow we have another catered deal. These are thank yous for all the hours and not something I can politely skip.

Ok my day went fine. Ate pretty much on target.

B/ Coffee w/hwc and co, 4 oz polish sausage, 1/2 c cheese

L/ 4 oz spiral ham, 1 cup sauteed squash

D/ 1/4 c cottage cheese, 1 st celery w/cream cheese, pork skins w/ salsa

S/ 2 diet sodas w/hwc

Total
1451 calories
127 fat
23.7 carb
4.6 fiber
61.5 protein

It's not perfect but I'll take it.

Amber, I used my little food scale to weigh my spiral ham today and 4 oz was 2 tiny pcs. Must be some dense meat.

Hi all! This is my busy time of year at school...full of meetings, projects due, and state testing; so trying my best to pop in and stay up to date. It looks like everyone is doing well! I am down to 171, thanks in part to a stomach bug I got Tuesday night. Thankfully it was a 24 hour thing, but my appetite is non existent....I doubt I have eaten more than 1,000 calories in the last 2 days.

Yea Terra on the weight loss. Going in the right direction. Sorry for the way you got there. Hope you're feeling better.

My day is going really good. Went to visit a friend in Nursing home. She will be released in 2 weeks and I will stay with her for a few weeks to get her used to being home. Of course she's my next door neighbor so later I can pop over when necessary. Looking forward to it.

Went to grocery store today to load up on my stuff. Loved doing it. Such an accomplishment to see the fridge full. Ha.

Kemp, Laura, everybody, hope to hear from you soon. Everybody safe,

Up to 233 (.2) I was so busy yesterday that I didn't eat until 6 pm. Couldn't get enought calories or proteins in and ended up around 1000 cal and about 50 protein. Second day in a row that's happened. Just a justification to stay on PLAN.

Laura hope your day is going well.
Miss everybody else.

Staying on plan. But still a bump 1 lb. Is it all from not eating enough 3-4 days ago. I went two days with eating under 1000 and around 50 protein. A real bummer.

Where is everybody? Laura and I are on our own. We miss you. Need your support.
