Glad to hear that Chelsey is well and look forward to her posting again!

Amber, my menu has evolved over the last 7 months in induction. My hunger has really decrease over the last 2 months or so....so my menu now is different than say November when the weight loss really picked up. I work to eat 70% or more fat, 10% protein (try to stay under 70 grams) and 5% carbs (work to stay under 10 carbs). My weight loss took about 6 weeks from starting to pick up (around the beginning of november)....in Nov. and Dec. and Jan. I ate far more calories and carbs and was still losing....just really focusing on eating when actually hungry now that I am closer to goal.

Todays menu:
B-20 oz of coffee, 1 oz coconut oil, .5 oz HC, 1 TB splenda
Lunch-4 oz of tuna salad (I make a big batch that is typically 24 oz of tuna and 14 oz of mayo) with .5 oz of olive oil and .5 of white wine vinegar
Dinner- 4 oz of parmesean chicken casserole (chicken, sour cream, and parm cheese) and 2 oz of asparagus

Totals 1,064 calories; 100 grams of fat (81%); 5.4 Net carbs (2%); 44.8 grams of protein (16%)

Hey everyone... I'm still here just been lurking lately. Working too much I guess. Have lost another 1# after going up about 3.. so down to 227.4#. Want to be at 225# by the end of the month. I seem to need to eat more veggies than I had been.

Anyway just wanted to let ya'll know I'm still here.

Guys went out tonight and had a few beers 5 or 6 I think. All low carb except the last beer was a Stella and it was awesome, but stayed focused on the food part. Thanks be to God on that. Wanted to cheat so badly.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I weighed in at 173.5 this morning. Sort of disappointed because Sunday I weighed 171, but then had 2 glasses of white wine along with some salt rich wings....thinking the 1.5 gain is due to water retention from the salt and sugar. Lesson learned.

I broke on Saturday around 4 pm. Back on plan as of this morning. It was a great wedding and the food was so good. UGHHHHHHHHHh back through withdrawals again. I did manage to stay away from the caffeine so that makes it a lot easier that is for sure. Hope all had a great weekend.

Kemp and Terra - thanks for sharing your menus!! Looks like you are both fairly high in fat and moderate to low in calories. Thanks!! It's always helpful to me.

Terra - WTG on seeing 171. I know you are disappointed it didn't register for the official WI, but it will. You are close!!!

Kemp - I'm glad you enjoyed yourself over the weekend. Sorry about the withdraws. Hopefully they will pass fast for you. How's your dad?

Laura - Post lady. We miss you!!

Hopefully Chelsey will post soon. She said she should on Thursday. And where is everyone else? We're missing like a bizzillion people.

Okay, so I'm here to check in and support. But honestly, I'm off plan. Badly. My hours are LONG and the stress at work is high. I wish I could say that I'm handling it well, but I'm not. Only 12 more days of this and then it's smooth sailing. So I'm just hanging on and waiting at this point. I may attempt to restart LC again this weekend, but honestly, I might not until May...

Kemp- Glad you saw a loss....I think you can definitely meet that 7 lbs in 7 days.

I saw a 1.5 loss this morning after my sodium filled weekend....I am down to 172 lbs. Hoping to be in the 160s by my weigh in on Monday.

Hey guys, good to hear that you are doing fine. I'm still plugging along. The weight loss still ongoing but slow. I have ordered a food scale and a new digital scale to have accurate stats. I think I have been under estimating the calories and carbs. We'll see. Glad to be back

Checking in, I weighed in at 173 this morning....thinking it was probably due to sitting in a 6 hour meeting yesterday rather than being as mobile as I usually am at work. Hoping to see some sort of loss on Friday when I weigh in again. Hope everyone is doing well.

Terra and Lindy so glad you guys are still staying focused. I hope Amber and chelsey and the rest come back soon. I am going to enjoy this weekend and make a huge push in may till memorial day to try and lose 20 pounds in that month. I have nothing planned and will be needing lots of support.

Kemp, I have so much respect for you. You say "I'm gonna lose 20 lbs" and you DO it. I wish my follow up was as good. My SIL started this diet with me almost 3 mo ago and he's lost over 25 lbs. He thinks that the reason I haven't lost more weight is that I don't exercise. Of course, he's a football coach. ha. My scale came in and actually works. The food scale I ordered said delivery date up to end of May. Maybe China? Kemp, I'm retired with no busy schedule so I'll keep in touch.

Hey! I checked in yesterday!! Look up Kemp!

Good work everyone!! Ya'll continue to impress me.

Lindy - let me know how you like the food scale. I think I could benefit from one as well.

I'm seriously exhausted. Exhaustion and stress are hard to deal with. Only 1.5 weeks left until I can relax some. I need to get on Kemp's "lose 20 by Memorial day" challenge.

I use a scale and it really helps get a handle on what is going in. I know exact calorie counts because I weigh everything. On my phone for next day so post will be short. Sorry

Not fun, just got back to Houston, doing the dad stuff. He is still in the hospital. Slow recovery.

Amber: We both keep retrying, the best part is we are doing something and that is better than nothing. Glad to have you back.

Yeah Amber and Kemp, I love NK. Head over to NK 80/15/5. First couple of pages tell you about it and if you will be interested in it. Reddarin runs it and is so good at calculations. A lot of people on the site don't bother with the meter and sticks. I just keep my protein around 75 and carbs under 20. Daily calories 1700-1800. I must admit the satiating part of it is the best. I don't think any diet is going to get weight off me. BUT I have lost a lot of inches.

Hey guys, glad to have some chatter back in the group. Lindy glad you are having success with NK....I am doing a my own version of NK and Induction, working on keeping my fat high, carbs low, and protein 60 grams. Totally agree that the satiation is the best part of NK or eating high fat in general.

This has been a slow week for losing for me. I think it maybe due to TOM arriving soon....hoping to see some sort of loss over the next few days before my weigh in on Monday.

Well I was up a pound this morning. A little peeved but not that bad. I have been working out weights only at the gym and have been sore in the mornings. I know that when you are sore your body holds water to repair the muscle. And even though I am building fat burning muscle, a pound of muscle weighs the exact and I mean the exact same as a pound of fat. I have a big out to eat dinner tonight. I will be somewhat on plan but going to enjoy myself. But only for tonight, no weekend cheat. I do not want to be behind for the start of the month. I am going back to the ranch next weekend and know I will be off plan because I want to be. Man they make me my own homemade peanut butter Ice cream when I go there and that is just to much temptation. So staying super focused until next Friday.

The weights instead of cardio, mainly due to foot injury and cannot do major cardio, is working well. Even though the scale is not my friend any more, the clothes are very much my friend. Fitting so much better started in 44's and am now wearing 38's. Had to switch to my skinnier belts and the towels at the gym now fit around my mid section with ease. All that is what this is all about. Looking and feeling better. The scale will eventually catch up with me.

Terra, i am so happy i do not have a TOM, although my wife thinks I do. LOL When I do not see loses on the scale my attitude changes and she jokes that is my TOM but every few weeks instead of monthly.

You said it, Kemp. I still am not losing a lot. But lost at least 2 dress sizes. So who am I to gripe.
