Road to Onederland!
I started a previous thread to support people in the 240's and had some pretty awesome women NOT in the 240's join in so I wished I could change the title. So I started a new thread.
This Thread is for anyone in the 200's who's goal is to one day reach the 100's. I plan to post my successes and failures, share meal ideas, encouragement and meal plans for the day. Pretty much anything goes. We just need to support each other. So if you are dreaming of onederland, Join us! Maybe you will be the first to post! I HAVE ARRIVED AT ONEDERLAND! (I promise, I will be giving you a run for the money though ) |

Ok so even though I gave a little background on the last thread "240's club" I will go ahead and share a little about myself in this one for those who were never part of that thread. I am a 37 yr old mother of 7. (Ages 13, 11, 9, 6, 4, 2 and a half and a 1 year old. I've been on the diet rollercoaster most of my life probably gaining and losing hundreds of pounds. My pre-marraige weight was 148 and quickly rose to the 150's. With every child I kept nearly 10lbs before getting pregnant again lolo So I blame the babies...wink wink just kidding. This last pregnancy was no different except I got fatter AFTER I had the baby. I am currently 241 but just 6 days ago I was at my highest weight EVER at 248. arghhhh!
So the plan for today is BReakfast: last of the 3 cheese spinach bake and a leftover porkchop Lunch: egg salad in lettuce leafs or deviled eggs. Dinner will be chicken with brocolli and alfredo sauce (last of the sauce I have) Happy induction! |

Found you!!!!
A little about me - I am 39 with a wonderful hubby and daughter (17) I have been overweight for most of my life, although I did manage to lose 80+ pounds a few years ago. I live in England so find it difficult with the LC stuff at times as it is not as well understood over here and there are very limited LC alternatives to things. My menu for today is Buttered scrambled egg tuna, cucumber, mayo as a salad Chicken breast with cheese, pepperoni and mushrooms or cheesy cauliflower |

Hi jacquirsw,
I always post my meal plan but rarely is it exact as I change my mind A LOT! I ended up having the pork chop and 3 cheese spinach bake for breakfast and then went shopping with the kids and the hubby since some of the kids had christmas money. Since I had a late breakfast and the kids and hubby ate lunch before we left we didnt eat while we were out. SOme where around 5pm I started feeling ravenous but had nothing with me but some sugar free candies I had just bought so I had a SF peanut butter cup and immediately I felt fine. SO that was my lunch I suppose. I got home and made liver and onions with a 1/2 cup of brocolli. I am stuffed and satisfied. Hoping that the candy gets my digestive track moving by morning. I hear that the sugar alcohol can do a number on some people I will weigh again tomorrow. I decided to weigh every other day as everyday has too many fluctuations for my fragile emotions We can do this ladies! Can't wait to get where you are, jacquirsw. 230's here I come!! I love my body, it loves being on a LC woe, I have been back on track since yesterday morning and am already in ketosis nicely and the scales this morning had already lost a couple of pounds of the extra weight I gained. I know this will be water weight from reducing the glycogen scores but it still looks good on the scales.
My menu for today is Atkins vanilla shake Lettuce, cucumber, onion, cheese, corned beef, hard boiled egg and mayo (salad) Salmon with cauliflower and cheese sauce. Jen you are doing really well, I hope the scales are good for you tomoz

I am hoping you may have room for one more! So a little about me. I am 44 and have no kids and a hysterectomy several years ago and the recovery process is so much longer than people think. Took me over a year to final feel like myself again. Anyways I live with my BF of 12 years and we have to furbabies. He is as thin as a rail no matter what he eats so this makes things more challenging. Plus he is the cook in our house so that makes things even harder. I have done Atkins in the past but never successful and dedicated long term. I am determined to make this the last attempt and be successful.
Scrambled Egg Muffin with sausage, green onions and cheese Hamburger patty and caesar salad Chicken and caesar salad. Current weight: 117

hi mspartytime and everbody. i just saw your other post for those in the 240's this morning and really wanted to join that tread...
thanks for not giving up because of the low response to that post. the boards have been a little slow lately because of the holidays and now that they are over and it's the start of a new year lots of people will be getting back on plan and back to posting... last month i finally made it down into the 240's...yaaay, after a 2 month stall. right now i'm walking around in a dream... i dont know how i broke the stall cause i just kept on doing what i was doing and the numbers started going down again. a little about myself.... i've low carbed off and on for about 10 years. one of those times i lost about 70 lbs, but lost my focus and gained it and more back. this time i'm low carbing to keep my blood sugar under control. i have type 2 diabetes and i'm learning to keep it controlled by diet and exercise. good luck everybody it's going to be nice to get to know all of you.

Hello everyone,
I had a little bit of a gain this morning but bought the test strips and I am in ketosis so I am not worried. I will be increasing my water intake and eating some SF candies....I know what you are thinking "UH oh" but no worries I am eating them sparingly and counting my carbs even though they are sugar alcohols. fingers crossed I make it to the bathroom later...hehehe So I had a boring menu today. Breakfast was 2 italian sausages simmered in a can of tomatos, garlic and basil. Lunch/Dinner (I ate late today) was 2 more Italian Sausages leftover from breakfast Snack has been a few pieces of SF hard candy and one SF Peanut butter cup(not sure if this is allowed on induction or not) Drank a dietcoke and mostly water today I am going to keep weighing til I see a loss BY GOLLY! Now I will walk the hall of shame to put up my new "higher" stats. BOOOOO Happy Induction Everyone, Jennifer 248/243/155 started 12/27/2012 |

Hey!! Good call on the Onederland thread.
I saw on another thread they post their weight and goal for the month, so I'm going to do that here. My goal by 1/31/13 is to be 199! Meal plan so far today and what I'm planning for dinner: Breakfast: left over chicken soup Lunch: the rest of the left over chicken soup, happy it's finally gone. Snack: some cheese and a sugar free jello Dinner: Going to try making some turnip "fries" with steak topped with blue cheese. Mspartytime, watch out with those sugar free candies! I had a little binge on sugar free lifesavers and they made me pretty ill, stomach cramps, etc. I'll spare you the details. |

It's great to see so many people jumping in on this thread!! I'm still going strong and not really noticing the carb withdrawals
Had a headache all day yesterday but feel great today! Have to cook some goodies up tomorrow after work since i finished the last of my sunday cooking marathon today. Haven't weighed since Monday and am trying to just weigh in once a week since I tend to obsess with the scale! I did remember to take measurements this time before i started and peeked and I have lost 2 inches from my waist already!!Headed for bed but wanted to post! Will try to get here earlier tomorrow so I can post some personal replies! Keep up the great work everyone!! Kim |

Have you totalled your carb intake for today, your menu albeit gorgeous seems to be quite high in carbs. tomatoes and garlic are very high, and although they say sf most of these still have a reasonable carb count due to the ingredients they use to bind or gel the ingredients. Also many people don't react well to fake sugars. Over here (UK) I am not sure what the equivalent to Italian sausage would be I am very intrigued. Well I am a habitual daily weigher and even have a wonderful chart that I put my weight in and shows the loss trend as a line so even if there is the occasional gain as long as the trend line goes down I know I am doing it right. I WI this morning and am already down 0.6lb since yesterday so very happy. |

I did well for my first day. I survived with no wine which is really kinda a big deal for me. Ate on plan and was down 2lbs this morning. Although I know it was all water weight and nothing more. I have ketosis sticks but they are old would they still work or should I just invest in new ones?

Good morning!
Sherri, you could try your old ketostix, but I think they have a shelf life of 6 months or so. Mspartytime, my weight went up a bit last week. I know it's frustrating! These fluctuations happen though. I know if you stick with it you'll get back to losing. Meal plan for today: breakfast: sausage lunch: left over steak and salad snacks: pork rinds & an Atkins bar thing dinner: not sure yet! I need to do some meal planning and grocery shopping after work. 12/31/12 208.6 1/2/13 208.2 1/3/13 207.4 1/31/12 Goal = 199 |

clarifying my menu
Hi jacquirsw,
Yeah, I should have clarified my menu better. I simmer them in tomatos and garlic powder but didnt eat the tomatos. The sausages had 2 carbs each and the SF candy's were all the hard kind with only carbs listed being sugar alcohol except for the peanut butter cup which had a dietary exchange listed as 1 carb. I did have a reaction to the candies but for me it wasnt a bad reaction. I just made me go and since low carb always tends to bind me up it was a welcome side effect. COngrats on the loss today. I didn't get to weigh in this morning cause I had to get up extra early to get my 7 kids ready to go to the Dr office. My 1 and 2 year old neaded shots JEnnifer 248/243/155 started 12/27/2012 |

Hi Everyone,
i am so glad to see that some of you are already on your way to Onederland! Maybe we will see some January graduations? :joy: I didnt weigh in this morning but I will definately weigh in the morning. My ketone test before bed last night was at the max level as shown on the bottle label. I was really hoping to weigh this morning to see but got distracted trying to get my 7 kids ready and out the door this morning for the Dr office. Todays menu: BReakfast I had a 2 egg omelet with ham and cheese snack: SF rootbeer hard candy Lunch: leftover coleslaw and I am going to try the chicken tenders made with pork rinds DInner: mock taco salad with 2 tbs salsa, cheese and 2 tbsp sour cream (no chips) I am liking the "side effects" of these SF hard candies and gum. It really helps to keep things moving. I just couldn't stomach the bullet proof coffee everyday. So I see some of you have made January goals....hmmm. I think I want to be 230 or less by the end of this month. Hoping that is reasonable. We will see I guess. Happy Induction, Jennifer 248/243/155 started 12/27/2012 |

Good morning everyone!
It seems like everyone had a pretty good day yesterday. I was happy to stay on plan and am not looking forward to the "carb withdrawls" they haven't hit yet but I've only been back on induction 1 day. I imagine they will be in full force tomorrow.
As for onederland - I can't wait to even be close to that. But for right now my mini goal is to be down to 248.3 by the end of January. I have a long way to go but will do my best to keep chugging alone. Today's menu: B: Ham and cheese quiche L: Sheppards pie D: Baked chicken w/broccoli and cauliflour S: Hard Salami w/a pickle |
