Hi everyone! Great to see everyone doing great! I started working out everyday, BUT it's made my eating habits worse! I indulged in some Thai food and fish tacos over the weekend. I think to myself "I worked out today so I can eat this" Not a good idea!

January goal weight: 115lbs
Dec 26 = 120.5 lbs
Dec 27 = 120 lbs
Jan 3 = 120.5 lbs
Jan 7 = 121 lbs!

I've gotta get back to under 20g of carbs! Hawaii is only 3 weeks away

IM BACK!!!!! Sadly I did great last year. Got to my first goal of 175. I had a hysterectomy in May and ran into a lot of hormone trouble. We moved this summer to Texas (stressful) and those who don't know me I have a special needs toddler. Sadly she had a stroke in November but she's doing amazingly well now but I surrendered to emotional and stress eating...right back into bad habits so I'm back and need to lose all of my weight all over again. Today is day one of induction. I forget how to so this so bear with me

Good morning, and a good Tuesday to everyone.

Darn it if I'm not still stuck at the same weight for 4 days now!! :-( Drinking water like a fish, keeping it at 20 carbs (sometimes 21) every day, and eating only what's on the Induction list. Grrrr.

Re-evaluating diet today to see whether I'm getting too many calories. Other suggestions? What am I forgetting?

Jan 4 - 182.2
Jan 5 - 181.2

L: 4 oz pork loin roast w/ 1 T bbq sauce
S: 1 oz pork rinds w/ sourcream/salsa dip
D: 4 oz taco meat w/ salsa/rotel dip/sourcream

17 8oz cups water - Had water late into the evening. I do not normally drink much after 7pm, this might be what contributed to my upswing today. I think it could be the salty taco meat also. Or just my body saying ENOUGH FOR NOW.

Good morning everyone. I actually was pleasantly surprised(as much as I could be) that I was at 214.0 this morning. I weighed 222.5 on Christmas morning, so am down 8.5 pounds since then. Not too bad for not really sticking to this gung ho until yesterday.

Day 2 for me....first day went well. I kept catching myself thinking about going into the kitchen last night to snack....old habits die hard. I didn't bend though

Day 2:

B: 2 eggs
L: Salad with Ranch dressing
D: chicken breast stuffed with cream/blue cheese and wrapped in bacon, green beans

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hi Guys, I'm new here! I use to be on these boards about 6 years or so ago when I first did atkins. I lost about 50 pounds in 3 months....it was crazy how fast it worked. Ever since then the pounds creeped back on and I haven't been able to lose the weight. I tried atkins last year but got discouraged when I didn't see the pounds coming off as fast as I did the first time. I am from Canada, currently living in Fort McMurray but I am from Cape Breton Island, a beautiful island in Nova Scotia. I am a teacher here and hoping I can really stay on track and lose these pounds. My goal is to lose 30 pounds by my 30th Birthday in April. It is a stretch but I am up for the challenge

good morning everybody.... i've been at my daughter house since my last post. i came home yesterday afternoon for a change in clothes and to spend alittle time with Ty and my cat....lol. but i'll be leaving again this after noon to back to my daughters. it's easier for me to get out over there. the elevators in my building are coming along. all the new doors are on and the elevators has been rebuilt. now they are replacing all the button panels then all they need to do is get them inspected and we will be good to go. i dont know how long it will take but i cant wait for life to be back to normal...

this morning my weight was 243.8 so it's up a little but i'm still doing fine and loving this way of eating.

Sorry to hear you had to have one as well. I found it took me a good 6 weeks to feel back to normal as far as activity goes. However, I had a really hard time with the hormones but Im back on track and think I found what works for me. I hope you bounce back quickly!! its no fun thats for sure

Skinnurse, Thanks! It's been a hard recovery for sure. I'm still having bladder and intestinal pains which are miserable! But I am getting better everyday. It's just hard because I want soo badly to get back to "Normal" and be able to exercise and do the stuff I used to be able to do

hola everyone!

I Finally got a a whole day off today! Well, I had to do some writing at home, but still-- and it was a gorgeous day so we took a long walk and played ball with doggie.
I had an omelet today, a TB of simply Jif, a prosciutto/mozzarella rollup, and there will probably be some sandwich innards I can eat at my board meeting tonight.

I found a container of eggs in the freezer -- nine eggs! Can I do anything with them? a giant frittata, or are they ruined? (It was NOT my idea to freeze them).

Hi Portia and other new challengers/challengees!
As for which "book," -- it's pretty much 20 carbs or fewer, and eating foods only on the induction list. And we all vary a little, I think. I keep my carbs 20 or fewer and only eat induction foods but I also watch my calories and I allow myself to drink wine and very light beer (mich ultra or miller lite). My loss is slower, but it helps me stay on plan 100%.

I dont miss that part at all. It does get better seemingly overnight. one day you are achy the next it's like woohoo I feel better. Everyone I know who went through it all say it was a good couple of months almost before being back to normal so do take it easy because you really need to heal. You have the rest of your life to exercise lol

I would also like to join. Weighed myself this morning at 212. By the end of January I would like to be 200, if I hit that by end of the month I will figure a new goal, but want something semi realistic

10 8oz cups water - I did cut back on the water consumption after 6PM, but I think the extra food (read wings ) sabotaged a bigger weight loss. I'll take .2 though .
