Tonight I start my walking. Trying to decide how long I should start out at, I need to set a time so I don't stop before that, I have to admit, I'm a lazy walker, don't like exercising at all and walking much either. Once I get started, I'm ok, and I think it will help since we finally got the tv installed over it so I won't get bored now. I'm saving up my daytime recordings to watch when I walk. I think I will start at 20 minutes and then move it up as I go. Do you guys think I should try for more? I just don't want to not be able to walk tomorrow at work if I do too much.

Sueshe i'd start out slow and see how it goes. You can always add time. I would rather walk outside but I borrowed my parents treadmill a yr ago thinking i'd Love walking on it while watching tv but I Hated it. Seemed so much harder then walking outside. Lol

I used to love walking outside, but where we live now everyone lets their dogs roam around and it never fails, I have my dog on a leash and theirs always start up a fight with mine. Also, you can't ever just walk and they leave you alone, you get stopped constantly with neighbors talking. So is just easier for me to walk at home. (Plus it's been in the teens here for a week or two....brrr) I think I will start at 20 minutes and then progress from there as I am able to. It has been a long time since I have done any sort of exercise at all other than walking from my car to my work and back when I get off and cleaning the house. Pretty sedentary.

We live in the country, about 2 miles out of town, but is a subdivision with acred lots(we can see our neighbors houses in the winter, but not really in the summer). The road is a 2 mile circle from my house start to finish, so is a good walk, with hills, but the bad outweighs the good when walking....

Down to 159.8 at the beginning of January I went up to 163 so I'm happy with my 4 lbs loss this month so far - I would love to reach 155 but that may have to be February's goal I definitely want to be 150 by the summer

We're about 8 miles from the nearest town w/ a grocery store, gas station etc. But we Love it out here. It's mainly family up here on the mountain. Aunt-Uncle, cousin and her family and my Parents. Mom and I walked quite a bit back in the spring/summer before it got to hot. Right now it's just To cold! Lol Plus I haven't been cleared by my Dr to exercise yet. I go next Thursday for a checkup so hopefully i'm healing correctly and can be cleared to do more.

I DID walk last night. First time I've walked in ages and ages. I started at 20 minutes, watched Bold and the Beautiful while I walked I had to keep it on Warm Up for a while, then gradually got it up to 2 miles per hour. I know I'll get there! Going to walk every night that I am able and hoping in the next week will be increasing the speed and time. I wasn't sore this morning, but did feel pretty good (hot), but good after I walked. Cheat free yesterday. I made these chicken packets for supper and they were so good. Spray some Pam on aluminum foil, put a chicken breast on it, season top and bottom then slice mushrooms and zucchini and green onions, spray a little on the top and make a loose sealed packet out of them. Bake at 425 for about 35-40 mins. YUMMO! The fam even liked them! You could certainly tweak them anyway you wanted with different seasonings and lc veggies!

My dgd is coming this evening for a while, making them all grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup, but I'm going to make me Emerald Isle soup, that way I will have something to warm up this weekend also. Can't wait to see what it tastes like.

Shelly-We live about 3 miles out of town. Just far enough, but have lots of wildlife. My dh has a feeder in the backyard, so we constantly have deer and coons at it. We had 17 deer in our back yard a couple weeks ago when we got so much snow. So pretty. Not much on the ticks they bring in to the yard because of our dog, but they are beautiful. Dh was raised way out in the country. About 30 minutes from anything. As much as I love country living, I'm not sure I would like that, guess it depends where it was. A mountain would be perfect! I have family that lives in Arkansas, my aunt and uncle both. My uncle lives up on the side of a mountain too, so beautiful!

Great job on the exercise Tasha.

I pulled a muscle in my back so I haven't been able to exericse - pain shoots down my leg - but it is getting better with asprin and a heating pad - hopefully I will be able to get moving soon!

We're up in NW Arkansas. DH has a deer feeder too. He Hates that the squirrls seem to find it more then the deer though Lol! I so wish we'd get some snow! It'd help a lot to kill those nasty ticks off!

Shelly, my uncle lives in Locust Grove and my aunt lives outside of Clinton. My dh is the same way with the squirrels, and the crows....and the doves.... But the deer are fat, so I guess there are enough of us in the subdivision feeding them that they aren't starving, so.... We got 7 inches of snow a few weeks ago, and some flurries since then, then about an inch, but that's it. I can remember when I was in high school the big snows and ices we used to get. I can do without the ice, but miss the snow.

Wow! I figure that almost 2 lb loss in one is from not feeling good yesterday, my Fibro is flared Big time and I ended up having to take a pain pill last night and it ended up making me so sick. Ended up hugging the porcelian throne. Still flared this morning But i'm not throwing up anymore. Thank God!

HELLO everyone!! wELL, harrumph but the weathercasters were WRONG yet again! no snow overnight! I didn't weigh this morning, but i DID take a photo of me in the same dress I wore last year - December 2011. So here's a before and after for you! down about 45 pounds!
