Congrats Laura! What a great accomplishment.

CMC, you are one brave woman! That is a lot of hiking but BRAVO! How do your legs feel today?!

If you're a chicken fan, I have found Saute Express. Only 1 carb. You melt it in a frying pan and then sauté chicken breasts in it. The chicken remains tender and the flavors are really good. You can find it in the butter section.

Do you log your food? I log mine on the Atkins website, but also on ************. Both are free. *** has a wide database of food.

Beetle!

Those fat bombs sound great.

I'm so JEALOUS of your dry-aged grass-fed beef! I'm still trying to find a good supplier.

I was off the forum all weekend because I've been getting my vacation details in order for next month. The thing I'm MOST excited about is hiking the trail called "Sentiero degli Dei" ("Path of the Gods") along the southern Italian coast. I've done some amazing trekking on the Italian island of Sardegna, but this trail looks even more spectacular:

Sentiero degli Dei

I'll be walking to Positano from Praiano, instead of walking from Bomerano. There's a steep uphill climb from Praiano but I did some trekking in Morocco in the Ouarika Valley of the middle Atlas mountain in summer 2011 (while I weighed about 230-235 pounds), so this climb could not POSSIBLY be steeper than those climbs on the anti-Atlas so I'm not scared! Seriously, the mountain goats in Morocco were having trouble climbing some of those paths. It was ridoncolous. HaHa!

I'm planning to trek in Aotearoa for my next vacation, Beetle! So warn your countrymen that I'm coming and that I'm looking for a good hike.

I'm sorry about your boyfriend situation, Laura! HUGS!

Since you're moving into a new closet, maybe you can start this new phase of your life by putting the SMALLER size clothes you're currently wearing into the new closet and dump the bigger clothes. You're not just moving into a new place, you're also moving into a new body.

Just a thought!

Happy Birthday Laura. I am turning 49 this weekend. I won't be officially old until next year!

I am playing tour guide this week. I got out of it today! I thought they could handle Disneyland on there own. I have been able to keep on plan. I have been taking a big spoonful on Coconut oil every morning and it really controls my hunger all day. I was tested with funnel cake, cold stone ice cream and a local bread bakery this week. I got through without participating but man it was hard. Especially the bread bakery since I know how great their bread is. All is good so far. Only another few days to go.

While I of course admire you for your will power Big Stevie, I never doubted you for a second! =)

When you say you take a spoonful, you don't mean like, right from the spoon?? Whew, that would do me in for sure!

The Sourdough Bread bakery in Disneyland is my Achilles Heel. Darn you little Mickey shaped loaves of baked heaven!!

You know you are lazy when...

you get excited that your pants got too big because now you can pull them up and down without having to take the time to unbutton or unzip them. (<<<--- me!)

That's sad.

it's great when ya can pull yer pants down w/o unbuttoning them... but the sad part is ya don't get to wear them much longer.... which leads to the good news.... NEW PANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well today is the day I'm moving. I told my ??? ex-bf that I was moving yesterday the only thing he wanted was the min-pin. That is tearing me up I want to keep my 2 lil boys together. Some how I'll get through this and be better for it... at least that is what I keep telling myself.

Moving into smaller pants is great. Shop at the second hand store for the next pair because you won't be in them long either.

Good luck on your new life adventure Lauara. It takes courage to make a big change like that. Remember don't talk to him at all for at least six months if possible. It just makes it harder if you do. You start remembering all the good stuff about him and tend to forget the reason you left in the first place.

Steve I wish I had seen your advice before I told him goodbye. He told me all this could have been avoided if I had gotten him a birthday card. That is just STUPID!!!!!!!! Today has been awful. Got the truck loaded when it started to sprinkle. Got halfway to the new place and the skies let loose! Since it was raining they couldn't put the new floors in my bedroom and bathroom. Since I dont' have the floors done I can't put any of my stuff away in the bedroom or bathroom. So stuff is everywhere... it's a hugh mess and I can't really do anything about it. Because they are puttin in the new floor my toilet is up in the bathroom so can't use the bathroom either... grrrrrrr... had to use my roommates bathroom. Now it smells like "GIRL" now that part is funny!!!!! All this and I had no sleep. Finally threw my mattress into the bedroom put down the dog's waterer and his food bowl threw the sheets on the bed and passed out! The new bed....WONDERFUL!!! The sheets I splurged on.... HEAVEN!!!!! Always find the good in things right?!?!?!
So here I sit at work with my sandles on cuz I can't find my shoes... good thing it's our Sunday cuz otherwise the boss would see my feet and that wouldn't be good.. have to wear steel toe shoes in the plant. So I know what I have to do tomorrow..... find shoes!!!!!!

Johnny Depp turned 50 this year. Brad Pitt will also turn 50 this year. I'm pretty sure "old" starts in the 60s, now... Just sayin!

Awesome work resisting at Disney World! Saying "no" bad food choices is going to keep you as vibrant and healthy as Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt!

That's FANTASTIC! Even when the scales tells you good things, pants always tell you BETTER things!

You can always go hip-hop and wear the pants really, really looooow... HaHa!

You will definitely get through this! And you WILL be better for it! It's a cliche, but you really do find your prince by eliminating the frogs. There are a lot of sweet, decent frogs in the world. But they're still frogs so you have to move on, in order to find better options.

Hello! This is my first time posting here, but not my first time with Atkins. For some reason, I always end up falling off but then I dust myself off and get back up! I am on two medications which are notorious for weight gain and since the only way of eating that was great for me was Atkins, I'm back at it. I'm not starting until the 26th because I need the time to plan out my meals for the next two weeks. My husband is vegetarian and will be right along with me. So I've come here for support and encouragement.
