New to Induction, looking for buddy
Hi All,
I just started induction around the 4th of July. I have been trying to diet alone for over a decade now, without any support. I feel like having a buddy(buddies) could really help me stay committed and focused and connected. Let me know if you are interested! Thanks, Denise |

Hi Neezie!!
I hope to be your weight loss buddy. I like the buddy system so we can encourage each other and swap recipes and advice. I go to my dr on the 27th so I am hoping to lose at least 10 pounds by then. I had a great low carb dinner tonight and it was easy and tasted great. I put chicken breasts in the crock pot, added a 8 oz. block of cream cheese, 1 1/2 cup of water, a packet of italian dressing mix, and 1/2 bag of frozen brocolli. I cooked it for maybe 4+ hours and it was delicious! My husband couldn't believe it was low carb. It said that it was one of his favorite meals. (Usually after a heavy meal he retreats to the couch for a snooze. Not this time!!) Anyway, Let's get moving! We can do this!!

Hey, I started yesterday
So far so good night of day #2 and I am feeling good and I have not cheated! I have mostly stuck w/ a cup of coffee in the morning, a salad @ lunch, and meat for dinner...just boiled 6 hardboiled eggs to put in the fridge if I need a snack later ...I am so excite..however I remeber the last time I lost #14 in the 1st 2 weeks...(I have to remember I am not 18 anymore so I won't be disappointed if I don't do AS well) |

Hi Ladies,
IrishRose-Your chicken recipe sounds delicious! Here's to losing those 10 pounds by the 27th. Judy-Thanks for your encouragement. I have been feeling a little overwhelmed by all the challenges and threads and was hoping maybe to have a little more one on one buddy time or maybe turn this into a smaller group? Hi AC, Welcome! Like you, I lost a ton of weight the first time I tried Atkins. It was awesome. But I was 28 years old and now I am 41. I like your positivity and your meals sound clean. I have been struggling the first few days as far as weight loss. I happened to start induction during the few days before my TOM. I just got it yesterday, so hopefully the scale will start moving soon. I may be pretty metabolically resistant so I may try the fat fast from Atkins book to jumpstart if I need to. BUT, Atkins in just a few days seems to have healed me from hypoglycemia which is awesome. I am feeling a little queasy and tired from induction. I am trying to keep under 20 carbs a day. How are you all doing with that? Big Hugs! |
