Started June 30th could use some buddies

Just started June 30th on Atkins induction. I could really use some buddies who have started also for encouragement. I have done Atkins before and always stay in the induction phase the whole time. I have to lose alot of weight so I plan on being low carb for a very long time. I think I may be eating too much cheese though already! Any newbies out there who started recently?

Welcome, Steph!

I am pretty new to Atkins. I started June 5, 2012 and as of this morning, I am down 17.2 pounds. My whole shape has changed!

I tried Atkins about 10 years ago, but quit about 8 or 9 days in because of severe muscle pain. Thinking back, I am sure it was a lack of potassium. I wish I had stuck with it instead of packing on another 20+ pounds in that 10 years!

I still would like to lose at least another 40 pounds, so I'll be on induction for the foreseeable future!

Best of luck to you and again, welcome!

I started 4/25 but fell off for a few weeks, was eating more than the 25g net carbs and was just not doing well at all. I started July 1st tracking everything I am eating, (I made a lot of assumptions the first time around...like iced coffee? WTH? I didnt realize it had so many carbs!!) and trying to drink enough water. Good luck to you!

I'm just restarting and would live to get some support and be supportive as well. I'm not new to low carb. Fell of the wagon during the holidays lose. My ending goal would be to lose 80 pounds. Just gotta lose to pounds 8 times. Little depressing but carrying the weight is more depressing. Wishing you all success!

I started on Jan 3 of 2012...and in those few short months I am down 58 pounds. If I can do induction this whole time, so can you! Be sure to watch your dairy and tomatoes and onions. And measure. And plan ahead. And plan ahead (yes, I meant to write that twice.) And if you have an off plan mean, get right back to plan immediately. Don't be surprised if your gut hurts if you get off plan after you adjusts to the low carb lifestyle.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to say hello. I have had varying degrees of luck committing to LC ways of eating in the past....but now that my weight is way up and I am unhappy with how I look and feel, I am ready to recommit myself to this and change some bad habits for good.

Good luck to everyone! We can do this!

Can I join you? I started LC June 21 after 1 1/2 year on Weight Watchers, losing 25 pounds. But I lost most of that 25 in the first 8 months and it stalled after that. I was getting desparate and decided I needed something to jumpstart my weightloss again. I remembered my aunt lost a lot of weight on a low carb diet years ago.
I started reading and selected Protein Power to try. After 2 weeks of keeping under 40 grams of carb each day--still nothing. Okay. Time to go hardcore: so here I am on Atkins. Today is day 2.
I have metabolic syndrome/insulin resistance/PCOS. Guess I need drastic.

Lowcarb Steph,
I just started Induction on the 4th. Email me if you want to be buddies. (Or if anyone does) denisemoco@gmail.com. I just know that having a support system will make this easier for me to stick to plan during the tough times.
Xo
