You CAN do this! We are a 1 income family so I have to be Very careful what to buy for my lc. I usually buy a package of thin sliced pork chops and eggs, and make meals with that.

EDAM cheese is quite cheap AND it has ZERO carbs so that's one for my shopping trolley.
I eat a lot of chicken leg/thigh pieces and these are cheaper per Kg than whole chicken. Also bacon is heavy on the menu and that is quite cheap too for me. I make SF Jelly (Jello!) and SF Custard home made triffles in little pots, these cost about 25 pence each at most for bigger bowls. I have single cream and no sweetener with my coffee most of the time (Splenda is like £4 here for a large size packet) and it's OK. Use a lot of ground/minced beef to make home made burgers (melt the Edam cheese ontop mmmmmmm) and Kofte kebabs it's just mince/parsley/onions whizzed up in a food processor...that's it. Stuff like almond flour and mozarella is a treat for me too, as is lamb or steaks. Hang in there, it is an expensive diet I know |

I fell off the wagon, too, after only 13 days. I'm starting back on induction. You're right, this WOE is expensive, and I'm not a big meat OR egg eater. This is really hard for me.

I do find that the more I try to make complicated recipes, the more I end up spending. most of my favourites involve cream cheese, which is $6 for 250g/8 oz... cheese is expensive here so I try to focus on canned tuna, eggs, sauteed cheaper vegetables, and fats to fill me up.

It's strange but here cheese (usually cheddar) is always on some kind of half price promotion and also there is always cheap bacon and eggs too, not bad for the price, but not the same as rich orange yolk eggs.
Tuna is quite expensive considering it only works in a salad and decent lettuce and tomato is not cheap (and without decent salad stuff it becomes something I'd rather not eat) |

Thank you for all of your replies! I am printing out some coupons now
I will do my shopping tomorrow evening (pay day), then let you know what I came up with for the week (my check for one week is only about 315USD, I have to pay my tuition, car payment and all that jazz; hence why I'm broke!) |
