How much could I potentially lose?

Hi all!

I am starting induction next week! How much can I feasibly lose until August? I am getting married September 1st and I want to look and feel beautiful on my wedding day. I plan on doing extended induction

Thanks so much !

4 months? 20-40 pounds would be my guess.

I think it depends on how much you exercise and what your personal metabolism is like. if you go with 2 lb a week, that's like 30lbs... I watch this show 'Bulging Brides' and there have been a couple women on there who are close to your weight, who worked out intensely without fail and ate right for six weeks and lost like 20 lbs. obvs it's a tv show, obvs it's not realistic to work out 2-3 hrs a day or whatever. but that just goes to show that if they can lose 20 lbs in 6 weeks eating carbs, then you could easily lose 20 lbs with moderate exercise and a healthy low-carb diet over the span of a few months...

again, everyone is different. age changes things, as does activity level, metabolism and general health. generally those with more to lose will lose faster at first. and if you yo-yo a lot, you might be slower to lose. I've failed at Atkins a few times in the past few years. in 2010 I dropped 40 lbs in 4 months (start weight 215) and in 2008 I dropped 29 lbs in 4 months (starting weight 205). I'm 5'7" and I did not exercise as much as I should -- I just walked, usually an hour 4-5 times a week, sometimes lifted weights but was lazy about that. if you work out more than I did, and don't cheat on the diet, you will do awesome!
