Keep some fresh mint or parsley around to chew on.

OR... lessen your level of ketosis.

(It's the ketones being passed out through your breath, not mouth-hygiene that's the issue. But the chlorophyll in the parsley & mint will help counter it.)

OMG... I haven't thought of those since the first time I was pregnant! (I was so sensitive to smells that hubby's morning-breath made me want to puke. Since we usually spent a little time together before getting out of bed -- and he hated mornings -- we just kept those by the bed, and I'd hand him one!

I'll vouch that they work!

The bad breath/metal taste only lasts about a week. It's not permanent.

I read to avoid sugar-free gum as that has some carbs in it. The breath strips helped me with the metal taste as well.
