Still smiling about the lame ass enamel comment and the whipped it good, real good :-)

Ok that is enough internet and playing with my new ipad...all these kewl apps, makes it that I am spending more time on the digital highway then I should. I should take the dog for a walk...

LOL. That counts. It is refreshing to see a doctor that is enlightened to the benefits of a low carb lifestyle!

1 week since I started induction. Starting weight: 67kg, current weight: 64kg
Maybe this is what I need to free myself from my addiction to fatty carbs and chocolate. I'm really missing fruits though

Also wish there was a way to curb the habit of obsessively jumping on the scales.......

Knees have been aching all day. The hypochondriac in me is raving about the dangers of developing gout from eating too much meat. It must be the chilly, damp weather I reply.

Thanks for the compliments, guy/gals! That picture is from this past March during my first trip back to Mexico since I was 3.... lots of fun in the sun and lots of carbs, carbs, carbs.

So I gave in and weighed myself halfway thru the week... down 3lbs from one unofficial day and (2) definite on-plan days. I like to make my weigh-ins on Fridays so it helps me stay on plan during the weekend... so I guess I'll weigh-in just one more time tomorrow lol.

I think eggs and I have to break up.... I'm so darn tired of eggs... in every way possible. It doesn't matter which way I prepare them... I want to stab myself with a fork at the thought of making them for one more meal. I know what you're thinking... this is only her fourth day! No, no my friends, I've been on and off some form of Atkins since July last year and I've had to stop eating certain foods 'cause I just couldn't stomach them anymore! Broccoli... yeah unless it's raw, we don't see one another anymore... now I'll have to add eggs to that list. For breakfast this morning, I had shrimp and sauteed spinach. My boyfriend looks at me funny because I have unconventional meals at different times of the day but on this diet you HAVE to think outside the box!

Have a great day everyone!

oldafw.....sending good thoughts and prayers your way! enjoy your vacation and deal with the stressors when you get back. it sounds like stressing about everything while you are in greece will not do you an inch of good nor make any difference one way or the other. so go, and have a blast and hopefully you can beat this thing easily when you get back!

Haha, yes that's true; however, in this economy most people would rather pay other bills than the dentist, Dr. Drew! After all, we aren't all doctors!

You know DrDrew... I have the magic bullet and I have done it there, for some reason I don't like the texture, it comes up weird, not mousse like, but if I'm really dying for chocolate and want to behave, I can eat a russel stover sugar free milk chocolate, those are really good and I think there is 1 carb for 3 or 4 of the little bonbons thingies. They do have sugar alcohol soooo if you eat too many you will spend the rest of the day running to the bathroom with the runnings if you know what I mean!

Wendy, so sorry to hear it came back being cancer. That is not the news you wanted to hear!!!

Go to Greece and try to enjoy the country as much you can. Greece is my favorite country to visit, nice climate, friendly people and extremely good food!!!

You probably have a lot going through your mind right now, but look at this....I am a cancer survivor, came home with Melanoma stage 3, 5 years ago and I am still here and make the best of every day. Try not to stress, fight with a vengance and do not give up!!!!

Angie, you are probably whipping it too good if you do not like the texture. It becomes to be like clumps/grainy?? then you are close to making it into butter...slow down the speed and keep a close eye on it!

DrDrew, what is fried queso fresco ???

Feeling sick today, like I have been drinking for days, funny thing is, I do not drink at all :-) Must be induction flu I am guessing....hope it goes away quick!!

LMAO....don't think so :-)

I just can not handle alcohol at all, my body just does not like it. I would be a cheap date though, you can give me one glass and it will be like I had the whole bottle and I can seriously not make it back to the car without support.....

Nah, just trying to get through my day here at work, hopefully people are nice and do not have to many questions ha ha ha ha

a mexican market would be ideal. they may actually have one called queso de freier, especially for frying. there are a few choices that fall in the queso fresco category...i have tried a few and some are too strong for my taste. queso blanco seems to be most mild, but uf they have the actual "frying cheese" i would try that first....carb count should be VERY low, even listed at zero...though its not zero, and the salt can make you hold water too.

When you say to strong for your taste, the after taste, like how you have a special after taste with blue cheese, or gorgonzola?? Not going to the market today, but when I feel better hopefully tomorrow I will visit their deli counter that is filled with those round cheeses you mentioned.

I get a lot fresh veggies there because they are so cheap, same with the meat :-)

(((Wendy))) I am so sorry to read the news.

This morning's weight is 175 even.

I am really bummed out. I applied to a bachelor's program and I found out today that people are finding out that they got in. How come I haven't been notified yet? Of course I am jumping to conclusions, assuming that I'm not accepted. I hate this feeling. It seems silly to complain about it when I think about what other people are going through, but I just feel like crying and eating everything in sight.
