Gaining on induction...WTH??

Okay, I've back on induction for about 3 weeks now and so far so good until
last week. I weighed myself and I'm up 2 pounds! I've been exersizing and
the only thing I've had different from the first time is that I had an atkins
bar last friday because I was having sweet craving(TOM) but thats all!

One bar shouldn't but me up 2 pounds! I'm thinking of either switching plans
or trying the fat fast.

I don't know what to do now!

You might want to list a menu and see if someone can help with that. I have insulin resistance so I can't lose on just low carb but most here do.

hi catcookie...just like you, my weight went up...actually, i went from 148 down to 140.6 and then up to 146...and i was thinking "what the heck is going on?" . Ive been exercising like crazy, drinking my water, and i didnt even cheat. so , a couple of days ago, i cheated. I ate 2 fat taquitos, ate nachos, and had 1 cup of dreyers ice cream and i didnt work out. the next day, i weighed a pound less. and today, my weight dropped to 142. If i were you, id have a cheat day. are you eating enough calories? maybe your body is in starvation mode. You need to shock it.

Hi Newjoy2012,
I was just looking at another thread talking about carb cycling and was thinking about that because yet again to today (sigh)the scale has not moved. I guess I will have a cheat day but, I have no cravings right now so I guess I'll just eat more.

Good to find another person that has my same condition. You r right people with our condition have to watch carbs and fat.

You could cut out all the usual culprits, HWC, splenda, jello and add an extra meal to your day. Eat veggies before or at noon and make sure you follow measurements and veggie types strictly. If you've lost after a week, add in the one most important to you for a week and see if you keep losing. Wash, rinse, repeat.

What is hard to understand is that what you tolerated on induction before may not be tolerable now.

Same as me! According to the wii fit, I lost 8 lbs within the first 4 days or so... then moved the wii to my SIL's house. I weighed over there, and I was back up 6.

I bought an actual scale (dropped it getting out of the car. )

But it has said 194 since last Thurs... It will go up throughout the day, but NEVER below 194 and I'm pissed. I'm only halfway through week 2, and nothing. I'm so discouraged. The only way I ever get a couple extra carbs, is through salad dressing, but I never go over the 20 a day!

All I can say is that my weight always fluctuates up and down daily. It is totally normal to flectuate . As long as you're doing everything u can sometimes patience is key because weight loss is slow.
