I use 1 packet for 1 1/2 travel mug size coffee (I fill it halfway for my morning bathroom routine, and fill it again for the office). I also don't like it too sweet-esp since doing the low-carb program.

WOE: Atkins Induction
Start Date: October 25, 2011
B: 3 eggs over-medium
L: Large mixed greens salad with miscellaneous salad veggies and ranch
D: Half of a small rotisserie chicken
S: A few ounces of salami slices with and sharp cheddar cheese cubes
H2O: 72oz

I've been Atkinsing since October '11 but started getting back to the basics this week due to a prolonged stall in an attempt to move to Phase 2 during the last two months. I lost about 6 pounds this week on induction. I can't argue with the results of pure, unmodified induction. I don't know why I ever strayed!

Good job Lori! It took me a little getting used to when I cut the AS down in my coffee and now it's normal to me and I actually like it better. Glad it gave you some good results too, that's always a bonus!

Yesterday's food:
B: Coffee w/CO, EZ Sweetz, HWC & SF Vanilla Syrup + 3 Fried Eggs & 2 Sausage Links
S: Diet Caffeine Free Dr. Pepper + Pork Rinds dipped in Cheese
L: 2 cans of Tuna w/Mayo + Diet Root Beer
S: 1/2 can of Caffeine free Diet Dr. Pepper
D: Strawberry Protein Shake (not induction friendly ) + 9 Shrimp Pieces w/Butter & Garlic
S: Protein Brownie w/Cream Cheese on top

Too much soda for me and I did sneak in 4 strawberries into my shake, but I seem ok today. TOM is just now leaving today and I officially weigh in tomorrow so I am definitely curious.

Have no idea what I plan on eating today be back later after that's all figured out.

1nduc710n! Way to go on the 6 lb loss, great start!

Lori, when I had a smallish meal, or if I'm in between meals, I drink water. Usually a mug and a half here @ the office of water. It fills me up.

I made a brownie recipe the other day that used protein powder from Sugar Free Sheila's site but I think I need a better tasting protein powder bc mine came out like... rubber.

Let us know how you like them bc I'm definitely a chocoholic and need a LC brownie option.

ok so I made the low carb brownies. I didn't have flax meal so i substituted coconut flour for that. it came out a little dry (as most lc baked stuff does) but with a cup of coffee to go with it it wasn't too bad... And it quenched my sweet craving. I didn't put it into an 8x8 pan as that is not always the best for portion control for me. Instead I put it in a mini muffin pan(reduced cook time to 15 minutes) and made 12 mini browines. I used the chocolate glaze instead of the pnut butter frosting. I'd definitely make again. it was pretty easy. Next one I'm gonna try is her nacho chips.

Ginny's Low Carb Kitchen: Brownies With Peanut Butter Frosting

BTW- the easiest way to melt the chocolate I found was to put it in a cup with the oil ( I used butter) and put it in the micro for 1 minute. Take it out and stir until it is smooth and melted. It worked great and I didn't dirty a pot.

Ok...I'm going to make Black Bean Brownies RIGHT now. I am totally craving chocolate and have the carbs to spare for a decent dessert item. This looks simple enough and I'm hoping not to screw it up. I'm going to try to make them in cupcake liners and use black soy beans to lower the carbs. I've made the cake version and it was really good.

I took a look at the black bean brownie recipe...sounds yummoooo! let us know how that turns out!
so far today's breakfast: 2 cups of tea w/ 2 splendas, and 1 deviled egg

a quick question...is it absolutely necessary to get carbs from veggies everyday??? cause yesterday because I haven't gone grocery shopping, my day was mostly eggs and bacon....and I thought since it was so low carb, that I would see the scale move! but it stayed put...hmmmm???????
anyway....staying put, is better than moving up right?
I experimented with stillman's diet when I was really heavy and started losing weight (before I discovered Atkin's) and it's basically eggs and meat....I would lose greatly....but I guess my body needs the fiber now....I've gotta admit, it's much healthier....
I really love this lifestyle....
I feel like I'm rambling....anybody ever heard of sugar-free sheila....she's a great inspiration.....

The brownie recipe was more like cake to me in texture, but it was good, it satisfied my want for chocolate. By using black soybeans instead I reduced the count a bit. Mine turned out to about 4g per serving. I didn't do the cupcakes after all, just threw it in an 8x8 dish and cut into 9 serving pieces.

I'm not sure about the veggie thing. Egg & meat fast didn't work well for my body, I was overly sluggish and not feeling well so I have to consume veggies in order to prevent that from happening. I read a couple threads in here about consuming too much protein for your body can actually have the same reaction as consuming too many carbs and your body may store the extra protein. There's so much info on this site it's hard for me to keep up sometimes.

The first time I did LC nuts didn't seem to stall me, but I tend to go crazy with them so I portioned them into snack baggies for their serving size and I haven't really incorporated them this time (yet). I did eat almonds once at my sister's last weekend and felt like eating the whole bag so I stepped away. I am out of control with nuts! Cashews are my hubby's fave, I buy a separate container of those just for him so he doesn't pick them out of my mixed nuts container.

Karen- my wasabi almonds are BOGO again AND I have coupons...guess they will be my vacation treat. But I will do what you do and portion control them.le of thumb w...let it sethen baking with almond meal

My mini brownies were much moister today. Guess when baking with almond flour it's best to let them sit a bit. They hit the spot with a cup of decaf.!

B: ham, 2 eggs oe, greens+, 2 c coffee
L: bratwurst, saurkraut, sr crm, mustard
D: "steak salad": lettuce, tomato, cheese, avacado, sr crm, steak strips, salsa
s: 2 mini brownies, 1 c decaf

Been bad about not eating breakfast lately, just coffee...haven't been hungry in the morning.

The brownies I made are kind of a grainy texture, doesn't bother me, a lot of lc recipes I try are like that anyway so I think I am used to it.

Lori, I don't think anything is necessary really, just a guideline Atkins sets. I think it suggests (in induction) to get your majority of carbs throughout the day from veggies, but some people may do better with less I suppose.

I love Sugar Free Sheila, I just made a couple of her recipes from her page last week. DH loved the PB cookies I made from there. I think she was one of the first 5 people I heard of when I started LC.
