Oh, and my first full on carb binge since starting the program at 1:30 this morning. More on that on tomorrow's post.
Waiting to hear. Just another reason why I KNOW I have to be asleep at that hour. <grin>

Shake it off, forward ho.

I really need to get some more microwave bacon. I've also decided to lower the calories just a bit for a few days. I'm adding up what i think i'm going to eat and sometimes going overboard at night to where im over 2000 cal. For me it's too much. I know that. oh and just bought some decaf coffee to see if coffee is stalling me. I figured i would switch for two weeks to see how it goes.

B: 1 egg 2 sausage links
s: 2 slices cauliflower pepperoni and cheese pizza
L: carmalized onion and swiss chicken patty and salad with cucumber, bleu cheese crumbles, a slice of green pepper a slice of avocado 5 cherry tomatoes, ranch dressing and a sprinkle of mexican blend cheese.

hopefully that's how my day goes. I was making spaghetti noodles for a pesto dish for the family last night and realized...oh no...how am i going to tell if the noodles are done? i usually taste them LOL> so i took a nibble on one and spit it out. LOL. The things we don't realize we do.

oro, I think I will have to do that or ask for a box right away. DBF eats all his rice and half his General Tsao's. Then we pack my rice and his chicken for his lunch. I just need to get it off my plate!

I ordered the mexican thing on Sunday without tortillas, rice, or beans, and they kept questioning me and each other about it. Then they kept checking at the table to see if I wanted them. I had to laugh.

Lol, Happy WOE on your plan!

I think we all need to do some preemptive planning on Easter celebrations. My best friend wanted to know what I wanted for Easter and I said SF jelly beans. (Found them online for $11!!!$$$) Got any special recommendations? I've been looking at the LC candy and cake recipes. If I provide my own, maybe I can avoid the temptation of the other stuff eaten in front of me. Wonder how to make LC Cadbury eggs?

I understand. I keep freezer bags in my purse for leftovers. Too often the containers they give you leak or spill by the time we get home.

2AM carb binge (my first one since starting the program): Small bowl of sherbet w/ whipped cream, 1 oats and honey bar, 1 choc dips granola bar, cott cheese w a few sesame chips, water

B-Coffee w/ 1 Splenda and HC
L1-Salad: ½ Romaine w/ leftover ground beef, cheddar and Mont Jack, black olives, ranch dressing, mild sauce, water, vit b
L2-The other ½ of the above, 1 slim Jim, smoked almonds, 2 cashews, 1 mac nut
S-A TON of smoked almonds
D-Stew: beef, zuch, tomatoes, beef broth, w/ a bit of shredded cheese
S-2 granola bars (not on plan), hot unsweetened tea

Water all day, vit c, d, allergy and BC pills before bed

How I lost over a pound since yesterday is beyond me, considering all the food I ate yesterday... Well, I have my suspicion, but don't want to be crass....

That's not nearly as bad as I imagined. Kudos for keeping a binge day more low carb than it could have been.

Ok I tried my first pork rind yesterday so I could see what it tasted like before using as bread crumbs . Omg why have I never tried these before. But I'm also afraid they triggered the need for more or carbs that is. So I will try again and if by dinner I can't stop looking for.food I will just use them to coat the meat. Lol. Great no carb snack when you just need the chips effect.

Luv, right? Aren't pork rinds awesome? It took me awhile to "get over" what they are made of but, since then... I also use them as a salad topper in lieu of croutons, or as tortilla chips when I am making "nachos".

And, I understand how they can be a trigger for some.... as per my entry here last week, I ate a whole bag last Wed night.

That sounds like some great ideas. I read about using them for breading, but never for croutons or nachos.

I work @ an organization dealing w/ youth groups. The international club studied the middle east last night, so they left some hummus, baklava in several varieties, and Turkish delight. I ate one turkish delight w/out thinking about the carbs. (25 net!) and a little hummus on two pita chips. And a dried fig! I packed up a small batch of baklava for DBF.

B bacon and eggs
L flax pita w/ peanut butter; cherry tomatoes
S turkish delight, hummus, pita chips, fig
D 1/2 philly steak and cheese w/LTM, mushrooms, green peppers & onion - no bun; salad
S the rest of the steak un-sub.
S smart carb ice cream tiny amt

Achh! snacks are my undoing today for sure!

Sooz!!! Turkish delight! Drool..... How nice of you to bring DBF the baklava.

A note about using the pork rinds as tortilla chips: They get a bit soggy

LOL I did wonder about that. I could make the toppings on a bowl and eat them like chips and dip. Any LC margaritas anyone?

It's a great album to dance to.

I use that song as part of my exercise music.

Have a wonderful day, I'm off to the city to shop!

oro, I'll be 56 this year (had to stop and do the math!) I loved that song!

B - bacon & eggs
S - 3 pieces of baklava (30+ carbs) & 2 spoons of hummus
L - flax pita w/ chicken bologna and tons of lettuce
S - greek yogurt (tried adding cocoa powder)
D - chicken breast, cauliflower, green beans
S - fake cherry garcia w/yogurt, SF choc pieces, pumpkin seeds, nut mix, frozen

It was a good day except for the bad decision w/ baklava. Teens came by the office this afternoon and finished it off. Got to actually fix the chicken and veggies now. "un'cherry garcia" is already in the freezer.

Low Carb? What's that?

Doing good guys!

Ended up running office errands during lunch, so thought McD's chicken selects w/out sauce would be something I could eat & drive. Shocked silence on the speaker. I get up to the window to pay, and she kept looking at me funny and said, "You know these come in a meal, too, right?" I said "Don't want it, I'm low carbing." "OK". They gave me two extra chicken strips in the bag. Then I get home and look them up to find they're 35 net carbs!!! I'll take a few minutes to pull the goodies out of a grilled chicken sandwich next time.

So DBF and I finally celebrate our anniversary today by going out. The waitress asks if we want an appetizer. I asked if they had anything low carb. She says maybe some nachos with beans. After she left, DBF said they just don't get it, do they?

We're babysitting for friends at their house this weekend. She says we have large cans of Chef-Boyardee Ravioli (big family) and wants to know if that will work for me. I said not to worry that I'd be bringing my own stuff. Canned tuna, canned chicken, boiled eggs, string cheese, bagged salad or veggie tray to share with the kids. (I used to be "Aunt Sooz" who brought the desserts!)

B bacon and only 2 eggs, CO coffee
L McD chicken selects
S pumpkin seeds
D large salad w 1 slice cheese & 1 slice salami & 1 boiled egg
S carb smart ice cream w/ cocoa powder & cinnamon

Sooz!!! Good for you for resisting the "meal"! I also had the chicken selects tonight. I said no thank you to DH when he offered one of his fries. We'll see what the scale says tomorrow with all that breading.

Happy anniversary!!!

ETA: I am very proud of you for bringing your own food this weekend.
