oro- can you tell me how you like JUDDD? i see that you've been doing it since the 8th. from what I'm gleaming from posts and de jounsons site its basically as simple as consuming around 500 cals one day and then normal cals the next day. Any thoughts on your experience with it?

Last night's binge is a result of not planning supper. DH had a meeting so I was on my own.

Yesterday:
B-Coffee w/ 1 Splenda and HC, 2 boiled eggs w/ must and mayo

L-1 slice leftover LC chicken and mozz crust pizza w/ Alfredo sauce, canned chicken, shaved parm cheese, more mozz cheese, olives, Water, vit b

S-˝ avocado, Roma tomato, 1 piece Romaine, 14 or so smoked almonds, 2 slices deli turkey, ranch dressing, water

D-1 bag spicy pork rinds (yes, all 640 calories of them) w ranch flavored (the powdered stuff) sour cream (more than 1/2 carton), 3 vodka cocktails, PB & J sandwich

water all day, vit c, d, calcium, allergy and BC pills before bed

thats tough passion, but glad you posted it- i have found that helps me the most to post when i slip up or eat a little too much. cheer up, today is another day! how did you do today?

B- coffee w HC and 2 splendas
B- the egg and sausage from a DD sandwich sans muffin and cheese

L- 4 rollups of american cheese, chicken breast (deli meat) and mayo... craving it and didnt feel like making anything else

D- so ive been avoiding it every night so the husband is pissed- we are definitely having the mock pizza tonight not sure which version i want- i like making the meat crust and the egg crust better than the cauliflower crust so one of those

S- a huge dill pickle slice

not enough water, was extremely busy today and didnt even realize i didnt drink any until 1 so its 330 now and im on the half of my second 16.9 oz bottle. so its gonna be a low water day for me

I'm a slow loser and I'm not down a lot yet. However, I find the down days very easy (easier than getting in all the calories I have to on Up Days). I'm not hungry on the down days (I think) because I drink a lot of hot tea on those days. However, I'm very happy to eat normal foods on my Up Days. Yesterday I had sausage and eggplant pizza at our favorite pizza place andalso 7 layer dip with flax chips. You would think with all the carbs and calories I had yesterday that I would have put on a heap...I gained .2.
The hardest thing for me is getting enough calories to meet Dr. Johnson's specs. I've so trained myself that low everything is best.

If you want to lose fast, this isn't for you. If you want to reset your body and can handle low calorie days, it might be. Many folks are losing lots of weight. I didn't expect to be one of them with my history. What I found was I kept tweaking my carbs lower and lower on BFC. Pair that with a month of stall and I wanted to change things up.

I've been on JUDDD 2 weeks now and Dr J says it can take 2 weeks to kick in. I'll be interested to see what happens in the next 2 weeks.

Stay tuned.

I know when I drink, my eating is uninhibited. Except for the carbs in the drinks, I don't see anything terribly wrong with your dinner. My question is (for you, not necessarily for the board), why 3 cocktails? What else was going on and can you solve that issue so you don't need 3 to squash it down.

That may be a bit too California for you. But it's how I think.

Some days I think the only way to get in all my water is to wear a Camelbak everywhere I go!

Thank you, asdf, I'm doing better eating wise today. I usually post my meals the next day because things don't always go as planned (ahem), so I'll report back in tomorrow.

oro, thanks. I was upset about the PB&J because of the bread carbs and jelly sugar carbs. As far as the 3 cocktails.... That's just how I roll. It ain't gonna change anytime soon. And, no worries about sounding too CA, to me personally, anyway. I lived there for 10 years. I get it.

Oro- thanks for the honest answer. I have always been so extreme with my eating that I am enjoying just being normal and healthy right now. i was afraid that the JUDDD might put me back into that "diet head" mode. I might save it for a plateau.

Everything I read said they were a little spicy, but DBF and I thought they were a little sweet. It went well with the sweetness of the onion. I think using bacon fat helped. We're going to experiment more, coz a whole pan only used 1/3 of the large rutabaga last night. The texture is a little different from potatoes.

You're very welcome. I don't feel like I'm on a diet. I eat more some days and less others. You'll know if/when the time is right to change.

Rutabagas are the same family as turnips and are very similar in taste. I love them boiled with pork chops and lots of black pepper. I used to thicken with flour, now I use xanthan gum. I see them in an UD in the near future.

This will be my last post for awhile. I will be sans computer while we go camping- we'll be back to the basics. I think I can view the site on my phone but I don't think it allows me to post (I have a dumb-phone not a smart- phone!)

Been thinking about "camp food" and really it shouldnt be much different than what I eat here. We grill alot anyway. Lunches will be the toughest because we usually have sandwiches and chippy- stuff. Maybe i'll pick up a bag of lettuce and just turn the sandwich into a salad. Taking some wasabi almonds and walnuts for snacks. plus skin-on fruits. If only there was a low carb marshmallow!!!! I may have to splurge on the real thing!!

todays planned meals:
B: oatmeal w dollop greek yogurt, cinnimon, raisins, greens +, coffee

s: pumpkin seeds

L: (BBQ at work) usually I make a "hamburger salad" out of the burger fixins

S: atkins bar (??) if i need one- I may save it for after dinner ad eat half as a dessert.

D: steak on the grill, green beans

I'll check in when I get back. Everyone have a great weekend and week!!

have fun camping lava! i am such a camper, i usually end up going to folk festivals and such but i want to plan a camping trip real soon. only problem is my husband is very hesitant about dirt (and my son is a little iffy about it too, daddys boy). but a family camping trip is in need! and you are right, camping isnt too bad of a challenge except for snacking. i tend to just munch all day on camping trips but that could be solved by packing and being prepared for the worst! let us know how it goes, im jealous!

B- coffee with HC and 2 splendas
B- scrambled eggs ( i have dropped the CO mostly, wasnt doing anything and i get enough saturated fat in a day)

L- will try to convince the hubby to make his great burgers on the grill its been so nice out! and cheese

D- pork rind chicken with spicy mustard as the coating, i love the extra little flavor it brings

Goal: i have been snacking too much lately, its a bad habit that could eventually hurt me, so i think im going to try and go cold turkey today with PERHAPS just a couple sausage links before bed. eek wish me luck!
