Your thoughts on Sunflower seeds

I just wanted to get everyone's opinion on sunflower seeds. The bag says,5g carbs, but is that the whole bag?

it's likely per serving ( it should indicate what 1 serving is on the bag )

Example : Serving Size ( Meaning the nutritional information listed following will be according to the Serving Size )

In this case, serving size is 1/4 cup or 34 grams, so in 1/4 cup of "Grandma's Delights" there are 17g of Carbohydrates.

Since there are 13 servings per container, in the entire bag of "Grandma's Delights" there are 221g of Carbohydrates ( 13 servings x 17g of carbs per 1/4 cup serving )

Apply the same logic and you'll be able to get an understanding of how many carbs you're consuming.

Do you mean just plain shelled sunflower seeds? I don't know if they'd be allowed on induction because I'm assuming they count like nuts, but I love them on my salad to give a bit of crunch. Mine are 5g Total Carb, 3g fiber per serving = 2g net carbs per serving which is 1/4 cup/28g. I only add a sprinkle to my salad so no where near one serving and I love them.

I went to go buy some sunflower seeds because of this thread, but came across roasted pumpkin seeds, and they're even less at 1 net carb per 1/4 cup So I got those instead. Great source of fiber too!

I'm not sure if seeds are allowed on extended induction, but it's better than the peanut butter I've been snacking on occassionally

I like sunflower seeds for a movie snack. You still get the crunch and saltiness like popcorn but they are allowed.
