i think it's pretty step by step on D-Lite. If there's anything additional you'd like to know (admittedly as a big chunk of my visitors are spanish-speaking i do take a bit more time in explaining the deets in the spanish posts) i can totally elaborate. What do you want to know exactly? the crust or the sauce or the meat? (the rest is reduced to popping cans and draining, or washing and perhaps chopping) :P

Another vote of approval for the turnips au grautin. I just made it last week- sliced them very thin, sauteed onions and garlic first then added the turnips and let them get a little brown, then put in fresh alfredo sauce. So! Good!
My camera is finally functional again, so I will be contributing to this thread instead of just stealing from it. ![]() |

Yay for turnip love
I was on a cooking hiatus because we were waiting to close on our house. They've pushed that back an entire month, so I unpacked my kitchen and cooked this weekend! |

Sounds like you"ve read Gary Taubes, "Good calories, bad calories". Just finished it! Was very eye opening. If you haven't watched the video "fat head". I highly recommend it. Go to hulu.com and search fathead!

The OMM recipe is:
1 TBSP butter 1 egg 1 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/4 cup flax meal 1 tsp splenda (I use liquid stevia instead) Melt the butter a bit in the coffee cup. Stir in the rest of ingredients. Nuke for 1 minute. Turn out onto a plate. Top with butter, cream cheese or whatever. To make it chocolate, omit the cinnamon. Add 1 TBSP (more or less to taste) cocoa powder. If you like (and allow them on your plan) stick 2 SF chocolates into the middle of the dough before you nuke it. You will have a mini lava cake. AMAZING!

Just a heads up: Turnips are not an induction friendly food. Those are higher up on the starchy veg scale.
Also watch almond flour, which isn't introduced until the nut rung. All the more reason induction is only meant to last two weeks. Think of all the stuff you could be enjoying while keeping carbs lower... ![]() |

NoDummy-- Atkins Induction now says turnips are all right? That's definitely new. Could you share the link? I've always been a 2002 follower of Atkins, and in that plan, turnips are starchy veg rung. Thanks for your help!
