Patricia, the other day I fried some turnips in rounds kinda like potatoes and I did NOT like them at all!
I really wanted to like them but they were so bitter! Is that normal? I'v never had turnips before it was my first time trying them but I don't think i'll try them again unless I find a way to make them not bitter...

For potato dishes I like chayote. I peel it and use it as I would potatoes. Not mashed, of course. LOL

I also like radishes.

Yum! Melissa & Summer!

Summer~Just Jello in those Shots?

Agua~Hmmm.... I guess they would taste bitter to you...if ya never tried them before. U/K?
Mine weren't bitter (to me).
Did ya eat them w/L/C Ketchup?
Maybe try using rutabagas instead of turnips? They are sweeter.

Not quite! Which of course isn't induction friendly, but I took the pic to send a friend to pick on her for deciding not to drive out because of the rain. I could have shopped them out but it was just easier to upload from phone to photobucket.

I'm so mad. I wanted to love egg muffins so that I could have quicker breakfasts... but I just don't like reheated eggs. That rules out making yummy quiche because I'll throw half of it out, unless I find a smaller pan.

Yeah I ate them with LC ketchup but still too bitter Not sure if i'm not used to the taste or mine were just too bitter. I do like radishes as little hashbrowns once in a while or in a soup so I thot I was gonna like turnips too but nope. Well it's ok I don't need to eat them just like to add variety to my WOE so I don't get bored. Thanks Patricia!

Oooooohhhhh yummy looking food guys! Definitely drool worthy!

I'm back to induction for over a week now cuz I had been stalling so I'm right here with ya!

I have a question. Are the pictures posted here in the recipe section? Some of the ones here I don't see the recipes for. Also, the other thread has a picture of 3 Cheese Spinach bake and I can't find a recipe for it - I want to cook it Friday night....I googled, but I am not sure it's low-carb because it's not from here thanks in advance

1 cup of shredded cheddar
1 cup of shredded Jack
(or 2 cups of whatever cheese you have on hand).
Chopped Ham, or Canadian bacon or bacon (your choice on amount)
Sliced/chopped mushrooms (fresh or canned)
1 cup of cream or milk
6 eggs

Spray glass quiche/casserole dish with cooking spray.
Pour in chilies, ham, mushrooms, cheese and mix up.

Add milk and eggs together in a bowl and whisk, add salt (not too much or not at all...since the ham, cheese, chilies contain sodium), pepper, cumin, garlic and oregano or other spices.

I also sprinkle crushed oregano and powdered chili on top.
Bake at 350 for about 45 to 50min. or until middle of quiche looks done.
Let sit for 10min. or more to firm up.
Optional: Top w/salsa or a dollop of sour cream or Ketchup on the side.

In reply to KRISTINA!!! Sorry the quote button didn't work for me

I saute some red bell pepper, zucchini and bacon or sausage in a pan and then add some fresh spinach til wilted. I then add two or three eggs and stir until they are cooked. Top with a dallop of sour cream and some hot sauce! YUMMY! And keeps me full for many hours
