Mushroom and mustard sauce **a Misty original** 1lb sliced mushrooms 1/2 small yellow onion finely diced 2 tbsp butter 2 tbsps Chicken Broth 2-3 tbsp stone ground mustard *dijion or spicy brown would probably work* 1 cup heavy cream salt and pepper After cooking your protein, remove from pain and add butter. Sautee mushrooms and onions until softened and browned. Remove from pan and deglaze with chicken broth *you could probably use wine..I hate the taste of it so I don't cook with it* Add mustard and whisk until combined. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a small simmer. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add mushroom and onion mixture. Add in your protein and coat both sides. Mashed Cauliflower **I know that there are many recipes floating around, but this is what I came up for me!** 1 16 oz bag frozen cauliflower or 1 large head core removed and cut into small pieces 2-3 cups of Chicken Broth-enough to cover the top of the cauliflower about 1 inch salt and pepper 2-4 oz of cream cheese 1 tbsp butter Combine first 3 ingredients into a pot. Bring to boil and cover. Cook until tender..around 15 minutes. When tender, drain and add to a food processor. Add butter and 2 ounces of cream cheese. Pulse until combined. Taste for seasonings and for consistency. **For variations, I add in cheese, bacon and sometimes green onions** Low Carb Pizza Crust **Found this on Recipezaar a million moons ago..sorry can't give credit where credit's due** 4 ounces cream cheese, softened 2 eggs 1/4 cup parmesan cheese 1/4 teaspoon oregano or 1/4 teaspoon italian seasoning 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 8 ounces Italian cheese blend or 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded 1. In a medium bowl, whisk cream cheese until smooth and creamy. 2. Whisk in eggs until mixture is well-blended and smooth. 3. Add the Parmesan and seasonings, then stir in the 8 ounces of mozzarella until completely moistened. 4. Spread cheese mixture evenly in a well-greased 9"x13" glass baking dish or lightly greased and lined with parchment paper (see note below). 5. Bake at 375şF for 20 to 25 minutes or until evenly browned, but not too dark; let cool completely on a wire rack. 6. When nearly cooled, take a spatula and carefully pry up the edges to loosen from pan. 7. Ease the spatula under the whole crust to loosen. 8. Keep crust in the pan; this makes it easier to remove the finished pizza later. 9. Refrigerate, uncovered, until shortly before serving time (this dries out the crust and makes it crisper). Stuffing mix for mushrooms and zucchini **a Misty original** 8oz block of softened cream cheese 1 cup shredded cheese of choice ˝ small onion finely diced 2 tsp garlic powder Splash of Worcestershire sauce 1 roll Hot breakfast sausage-browned and drained Mix all ingredients and spoon into mushrooms caps with stems removed or zucchini halves that have had some of the inner flesh removed. Cook in a 350 degree oven for about 20 minutes or until the mixture is browned to your liking Turnip gratin **a Misty original** 2 turnips peeled and sliced very thin **I use a mandolin for mine** 1 pint heavy cream 4 oz cream cheese 16 oz shredded montery jack cheese **Use the block and not the bagged stuff. I’ve found that the pre-shredded cheese is way too greasy!** Several slices bacon cooked and crumbled 1. Put turnips in a microwave safe boil and add 2 TBSP water. Cover and heat in microwave for 5 minutes 2. Meanwhile, combine the next 2 ingredients and stir until cream cheese is melted. 3. Add shredded cheese and bacon and stir until melted and combined. 4. Drain cooked turnips and layer in a oven safe dish. Spray bottom of dish for easy clean up. 5. Layer turnips and sauce. Make sure you end with sauce. 6. Top with more shredded cheese, cover and bake for 30 minutes. Remove cover and turn oven to broil and broil until cheese browns. Crustless Quiche **a Misty original** 8 eggs slightly beaten 1 TBSP heavy cream 8 oz shredded cheese of choice 1lb hot breakfast sausage-cooked and drained Induction friendly veggies of choice Combine all ingredients and spoon into greased muffin pans. Cook in a 350 degree oven for 15-20 minutes. Test for doneness after 15 minutes so you don’t overcook the eggs. I don't have any nutritional information or serving sizes for anything. Sorry!
