Tomato sauce as Induction Buster

There was a going-away party for someone at work today. Everything had tomato sauce - peppers, sausage, chicken. I scraped as much sauce off as I could, but obviously you cannot get it all.

I had less than an ounce - maybe a half ounce?, but I don't know what was in it - there could have been sugar for all I know.

I haven't gone off-plan at all till now and just wondered if this is the sort of thing that can send send you out of ketosis? Is there ever a safe amount of tomato sauce during induction?

well, there are two things here--one is it "legal" on the particular version you are following, and second, would it knock you out of ketosis.

the second part is just about carbs. it's just too hard when you can't measure the sauce to know what you ate. a half ounce is only a tablespoon. I think you would have had to do a lot of scraping to get that much off. you probably just ate more than you thought you did of it.

good luck going forward!
