Induction Friendly Crock Pot Recipes?
 
I can't believe how excited I am about getting a little $30 crock pot! I've been able to find plenty of recipes, but I think many are for ongoing weight loss and not suitable for induction. Just wondering if anyone is willing to either share their favorites or point me in the direction of where I can find them. I have found a few on other sites, but not as many as I was hoping to.

Any help is appreciated. Happy Friday, all!!

Okay, I wanted to share a recipe I found on another site. I apologize, I can't remember which it was to give proper credit but I will look for it. I made this yesterday and it's delicious and VERY simple! I did alter cooking times a bit, though.

Here it is:

Crockpot Beef Stroganoff



Lo Carb Beef Stroganoff in Crockpot

2 lb round steak
1 1/2 C beef bouillon
1 tsp salt--1/8 tsp pepper
1/2 lb fresh mushrooms
1/4 tsp garlic salt
1 C sour cream

Cut steak into 1/4 in strips. Coat with salt and pepper. Drop into the bottom of a crock pot. Mix garlic, salt, and bouillon. Pour over the meat. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or until tender. Turn control to high. Add mushrooms. Cook on high 15 min or until slightly thickened. Stir in sour cream. Turn off heat & serve.

I use my crock pot at least once a week. I mostly use it for large cuts of meat and you really don't need much of a recipe at all and you can buy cheap cuts of meat. For example:

Corn Beef Brisket - it comes with a seasoning packet and you just leave the juices from the package and add a can of chicken broth or water. Cook on low 8-10 hours. While meat cools use the juices to boil some cabbage in.

Chuck Roast - add a can of beef broth, some sliced onions, and season the meat with garlic and onion powder, pepper, season salt, cajun spices, whatever you like. Sometimes I cook potatoes underneath it for DH and just cook myself a separate veggie. Cook 8-10 hours on low.

Pork Roast: Cook with a can of chicken broth or water. Season with salt, pepper, garlic, onion powder, cajun seasoning or lemon/pepper. Cook low 8-10 hours. Shred and have with l/c bbq sauce, or with a fried egg over it and l/c gravy for breakfast.

Chicken Taco Soup:

3-4 chicken breasts cooked and diced or shredded
1 pkg ranch soup mix
1 pkg taco seasoning
1 can rotel
2 cans chicken broth

Cook on low 4-6 hours (I've seen many variations of this one).

I also use my crock pot for :

Chili
Gumbo
Cheeseburger Soup
Beef Stew

You can use your favorite recipes for any of these and just make some l/c modifications such as leaving beans out of the chili; rice out of the gumbo and potatoes out of the stew, etc. you get the idea.

I use my crock pot all of the time. I love making ribs that just fall apart. They're so good! Here are a couple of my favorite soups:

Okay, so I've got a whole chicken thawed and need to know what to throw in the crock pot with it overnight and for how long (and on which heat setting) I should cook it.

Anyone? I have broth, diced tomatoes, mushrooms, spices.

HELP!! I'm having surgery tomorrow and need to have it ready to go before I leave for the hospital at 8 am!

Probably too late now as you're probably asleep already. I'd probably throw everything in except the tomatoes. Although I'm sure others would put the tomatoes in also. I'd eat those as a side. On Low since it'll cook all night.

I love to do a pork shoulder roast with a big jar of green salsa (I think it's about 2 cups). You can use mild or hot to suit your taste.

If you have the time and inclination, browning the pork first adds a lot of good flavor, but it's still darn tasty if you just plop the roast in the crockpot and pour on the sauce.

Let it cook on low until it's falling apart, maybe 6-8 hours, then shred the meat and eat with sour cream, shredded cheese, whatever. It's yummy.

The salsa works out to 20 carbs for the whole 16 oz jar, so I consider it Induction-friendly. A 4-lb pork shoulder roast makes at least 8 servings, or more.

turkey breast with a half cup of water put on high for 5 hours, let cool, tear apart and put in tupperware in fridge for snacking. I put in .5c chopped celery and half cup chopped onion, 2tsp chicken bouillon on the bottom for flavor(I did the math for carbs by finding out how many cups were in the turkey breast and adding it in). I make a veggie stew in mine... cook a roast: put a can of italian cut green beans in the bottom of crock pot - cover in broth and some onion and garlic powder cook for about 5 hours (in a pinch use a pkg of onion soup mix). Then I take it out and in the broth add some worstershire, then usually maybe some cubed cauliflower or turnips. Put the rest of the carton of broth in and cook till veggies are tender. When ready, add a blob of sourcream (I know not a good measurement) Stir and enjoy!

i buy a large chuck roast chop some garlic 1 small onion cup of beef broth salt and pepper to taste throw in crockpot on low for about 8 hrs yummy

this is one of my faves, and my 10 y/o loves it, too!
prep:5 mins
cook time: 5 mins
ingredients:
frozen, cooked, tail-off, shrimp
BS chicken tenders (I just prefer the tenders to the breasts b/c they cook so much faster)
Frozen broccoli cuts
Italian dressing

this will all be done in just a few mins
drain off excess "sauce", add parmesan cheese and enjoy!

Here's a real basic one thats real good.
2 lbs. pork loin
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 cup water
salt
pepper

Cook all on low for 7 hours.

I am kind of lazy....my favorite recipe is to put in a roast, put in a cup of salsa....cook all day.
