Low or No carb protein shake mixes

Hello, can someone help me out here? I would like to know the best and perhaps most economical no or low carb protein shakes, with some fiber to aid in digestion and alleviate mild constipation. I am new to tis WOE and was hoping to get some hints from some of the more experience LC folks. Thanks in advance!

I buy the chocolate EAS powder from Sam's. At $23 for a 5lb bag (I think), it's really inexpensive. I mix 1 scoop with 8 oz of unsweetened almond milk and it comes in at something like 160 calories and 3gm carbs. It's the only protein powder I've found that tastes good. I tried Unjury, Isocarb and Muscle Milk...blech to all of them.

Thanks! But can I have Almond Milk on Induction? I really want to try it as I was hoping to make a frozen shake like an ice cream shake in texture and taste.

I just recently purchased Jay Robb's Whey Protein powder in Vanilla. It has 1 carb per scoop.

I also got Jay Robb's Egg White Protein powder in Vanilla. And that one has 2 carbs per scoop. It has sugar alcohols in it.

I haven't tasted either of them yet so I'm not sure exactly how good either of them are. I've heard the egg whites one is sweet and I've seen it recommended by someone on another site.

I purchased them from Kroger in the health food section

hope that helps!

I love Designer Whey Protein in the chocolate flavor. I believe it's like 2.5 net carbs per scoop. I usually mix 1 scoop with 2 tbs. heavy cream, 1 raw egg, and 12-16oz of water, and let it chill overnight. By the morning, it has a nice consistancy and keeps me pretty full for a few hours.

Almond milk should be fine on induction because it only has 1 carb in 8 fl oz. Just make sure to get the 'unsweetened' though because the regular has something like 26gm of carb per 8 fl oz (and a no-no...sugar).

I love almond milk. It's not really milk but my son put it on his cereal one morning when he discovered the 2% milk was past its due date and said it was an acceptable substitute. I'm thinking as little as we use milk in this house, I may just use almond milk in the future.

As they say, to each his/her own. I love the Muscle Milk Protein+ that only Costco has, powdered. Before I tried any I read another board here somewhere about protein shakes.

I have been told that you can't use Almond Breeze on induction because it's made of nuts. but it has only 1 carb and it's so good for you that I use it anyway.

isopure zero carb is pretty good

Syntrax nectar is the only one I have been able to use without adding milk. I have tried about a million different protein shakes and this is now the only one I will use. It is creamy alone and mixed well. But if you add a bit of cream it turns into a milkshake style. You can also blend it with ice, add coffee powder too and it tastes like a frapp. So delicious and reasonably priced. I had to buy it on amazon since I couldnt find it anywhere in Canada
