Patricia - I haven't had a burger in 2 months. I actually told a family member today how much I wanted a burger with a bun. How does the flax bun taste? Is it just a 3mm in the shape of a bun? Tastes pretty Dang Good to me. Esp. when you are craving a Real Burger w/Buns! Yeah...it's a 3mm mixed into a small container that I have. Last edited by Rbenz; 07-26-2010 at 05:55 PM.. |

LC_Monkee, go and make waffles LOL I used SFS pancake recipe for that so it's just a waffle-shaped pancake.
I wanna cook too! I've been defrosting ground beef for two days now LOL I wanna make LindaSue's Coney Island Chili again. |

Just a reminder so we can continue to help people reading and learning: this thread is for induction friendly items.
For recipes containing items like coconut and other non-induction foods, there are threads for Food Porn located here and here which are more forgiving of items like coconut. Not trying to be a downer, but we don't want to discombobulate anybody. Lord knows I have enough trouble without being further confused. ![]() Last edited by cleochatra; 07-27-2010 at 09:26 AM.. |

droooling!!!
OMG....where is the recipe for this. I have been lurking on this thread for days now and I notice that you make some awesome dishes, but I can't seem to find the recipes on your site. Do you write them down, or shall I reqeust them individually? I am so jealous..I have no cooking skills whatsoever. I made a stuffed chicken dish 2 days ago and it made me so nauseas I have no desire to eat chicken at all now. LOL |

NOOOO I just typed out a huge reply on my phone then it deleted it all!
What I said was...... Thank you, Im just very lazy at updating my blog and need to make a start tonight. Any recipes you want, please just ask. I take step-by-step photos of a lot of things I cook but dont want to bore you all. With the beef dish - cut the steak at an angle then marinate with a little soy sauce, sesame oil, fresh garlic and ginger for 2 hours or more. Heat a wok will smoking, then add a little peanut oil then the drained beef - stir it around constantly till browned but not cooked through then remove to a sieve. Resmoke the pan and add veggies of your choice ( personal favs are sliced red and green pepper, mushrooms and spring onion). Reintroduce the beef and stir constantly adding white pepper, chilli powder, dash of soy and oyster sauce then remove and garnish with toasted sesame seeds and coriander ( cilantro) Beef should be very soft and juicy. Dukkah must be an Aussie thing its a blend of crushed spices and sometimes nuts which can be used to crust meat or as a dip for bread/olive oil. For this one, I roasted macadamias, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, paprika, garlic powder and black pepper then bashed in a mortar with a pestle (or is it a pestle with a mortar ). Poured melted butter over seasoned salom fillets, coated with dukkah and baked in the oven for 10mins at 200c then squeezed lime over. Delicious!

![]() My friend Barb started this super popular thread with the onus on induction foods in an induction forum to show the amazingly creative 'legal' foods folks can enjoy on induction! Thankfully, there are other threads for foods like the delicious coconut recipes and nut recipes, etc. I highly doubt anyone would be confused by a picture with a can of Pringles in the background. It's mostly the "Look. There's a recipe with nuts. I can have nuts!" and we want to avoid confusing anyone when we can. Anyway, back to the thread, here is something I'm enjoying this summer! Calzones made with cauliflower pizza crust, stuffed to the hilt and folded over. Here is what I used inside: |
