Dollkey - I've totally been craving waffles and *poof* your picture appeared. LOL. Must be a sign from the waffle fairy that I must...eat...waffles.

Cerise - Your shrimp stir-fry looks really tasty. I could almost taste it.
mmm that would be amazing with coffee!!

Tastes pretty Dang Good to me. Esp. when you are craving a Real Burger w/Buns!
Yeah...it's a 3mm mixed into a small container that I have.

LC_Monkee, go and make waffles LOL I used SFS pancake recipe for that so it's just a waffle-shaped pancake.

Just a reminder so we can continue to help people reading and learning: this thread is for induction friendly items.

For recipes containing items like coconut and other non-induction foods, there are threads for Food Porn located here and here which are more forgiving of items like coconut.

Not trying to be a downer, but we don't want to discombobulate anybody. Lord knows I have enough trouble without being further confused.

ok omit the toasted coconut then! it was only for garnish! not a neccesity to the recipe
And someone else posted brazil nuts in their recipe and nothing was said about that so I assumed it would be ok!!

I don't think we should have to police the thread. We all know what's ok and not ok for induction. Just remember: if it's not in the book under induction, it's better off in another thread--and when in doubt, ask someone who's knowledgeable. We just don't want people accidentally eating from the wrong rungs!

Keep on noshin'!

I think we all are well aware about what we can eat and what not and yeah some times some ingredients sneak around in some pics but I think we are doing a great job showing people that atkins is just not about meat and lettuce and for the book it says we can have some cheese but in my case i try to avoid it since it stall me and Cerise please dont be offended by this you are one of the best posters in this blog so keep the pics coming

I think Cleo was just trying to be helpful... she doesnt want someone thats NEW to the diet coming here for Induction foods and thinking its ok to eat coconut, etc, in Phase 1, then have a stall - we'd all feel bad... Believe it or not, alot of people are NOT aware of what they can and cant eat.

Just wanted to reply to that - been on here since October - we dont criticize, just try to help

I agree but it should be done everytime someone post pics with non-induction friendly food, there were some pics with nuts and in one of my pics there were a tube of pringles next to my food (not mine) but thank God nobody notice, I was just saying so nobody get offended.

Do you write them down, or shall I reqeust them individually? I am so jealous..I have no cooking skills whatsoever. I made a stuffed chicken dish 2 days ago and it made me so nauseas I have no desire to eat chicken at all now. LOL

NOOOO I just typed out a huge reply on my phone then it deleted it all!

What I said was......
Thank you, Im just very lazy at updating my blog and need to make a start tonight. Any recipes you want, please just ask. I take step-by-step photos of a lot of things I cook but dont want to bore you all. With the beef dish - cut the steak at an angle then marinate with a little soy sauce, sesame oil, fresh garlic and ginger for 2 hours or more. Heat a wok will smoking, then add a little peanut oil then the drained beef - stir it around constantly till browned but not cooked through then remove to a sieve. Resmoke the pan and add veggies of your choice ( personal favs are sliced red and green pepper, mushrooms and spring onion). Reintroduce the beef and stir constantly adding white pepper, chilli powder, dash of soy and oyster sauce then remove and garnish with toasted sesame seeds and coriander ( cilantro) Beef should be very soft and juicy.

Dukkah must be an Aussie thing its a blend of crushed spices and sometimes nuts which can be used to crust meat or as a dip for bread/olive oil. For this one, I roasted macadamias, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, paprika, garlic powder and black pepper then bashed in a mortar with a pestle (or is it a pestle with a mortar ). Poured melted butter over seasoned salom fillets, coated with dukkah and baked in the oven for 10mins at 200c then squeezed lime over. Delicious!

Definitely no offense intended. Jessie gets what I'm saying.

My friend Barb started this super popular thread with the onus on induction foods in an induction forum to show the amazingly creative 'legal' foods folks can enjoy on induction!

Thankfully, there are other threads for foods like the delicious coconut recipes and nut recipes, etc. I highly doubt anyone would be confused by a picture with a can of Pringles in the background. It's mostly the "Look. There's a recipe with nuts. I can have nuts!" and we want to avoid confusing anyone when we can.

Anyway, back to the thread, here is something I'm enjoying this summer! Calzones made with cauliflower pizza crust, stuffed to the hilt and folded over.

Here is what I used inside:
