I peeled the jicama, sliced it into strips (some broke, its very delicate!), and fried in veggie oil. sprinkled a bit of salt on it.

it got kinda soft i like my fries crisp! and it was soooo sweet! like a yam but more so. it was satisfying, but next time i'll use it as an apple sub. maybe lc apple pie?? hehe. im gonna try that tonight.

all in all, not a bad experience

Zucchini sautéed in butter and pepper, poured over spaghetti squash with a fried string cheese on the side (ignore the bite out of it... gotta get it while its hot!

I would think it would have to. That bacon fat is going to mingle with the deep fat fryer oil.

I never sampled the oil from the deep fryer after frying the bacon, but deep frying the bacon makes it tastes crispy and really good. And I didn't think that the taste of bacon could be improved upon, but evidently it can.

I have been on Atkins for 6 weeks and I was getting bored of the same old food. So I decided to look for some recipes, and I found this forum

Cauli Rice (more like couscous cause its so tiny!) with Turkey stir-fry. Turkey, zucchini, cabbage, onion, celery, green beans, and hot sauce all fried in buttery goodness.

I have a question...

Im dying for some waffles.. I got the recipe off of cleo's page, but I ran into a small snag.. My freaking iron got lost when I moved!!

I do have a sandwhich toaster... Do you think that would work??
