Hi everyone! Hope you all have a great Monday. I should be excited to be going in to work today based on events that happened Friday --- but actually I am pretty nervous. Oh well..

Weighed this morning and didn't do any damage over the weekend. Still at 203. For me, not doing damage on the weekend is a good thing since that is when I tend to eat the most. I think I am going to try to go back to "induction" level carbs during the week and then just try to stay under my 30 or so on the weekends.... Missgreen: There is no way I could do the VLC for an extended period which seems to work for you I simply like my foods too much!

I am one of those who have moved past "induction" but am happy to have you here. We started at about the same spot. I was at 216 and am now at 203.... My goal is 140.

I hope you have a wonderful new day!!! Nerve wracking but at the same time how wonderful! WTG..on the weekend.

lol....lawmom...by no means is eating VlC easy! its sucks sometimes to not be able to have what others are ..but I guess I feel motivated because it is working for me. I am having horrible cravings right now due to TOM closing in on me..lol....and I have wanted to go to the kitchen on a few occasions to pick at things. I also gave in and made more of the Chocolate mousse/pudding. The craving was just too strong. Another thing about yesterday was that for dinner I had 3chicken thighs, 1 leg and 1 wing. I PIGGED OUT BIGTIME!!!! I feel kinda disgusted with myself for doing it but OMIGOSH I fet so dang hungry! I think I need some red meat but moneys kinda tight right now and red meat is on the higher price . Ive noticed that red meat satisfies me longer.

I dont usually have monthly cravings hardly at all...this month is workin one on me. UGH!

Ok I rambled......I truely hope you have a blessed day hun!

SOURPEACH:::: Just because we are altering our bodies doesn't mean we do not have to alter our minds. It is a complete makeover! The more you resist temptation. The more you walk out of the kitchen and say I wasn't even hungry; why was I in there? It will slowly get better..One day at a time!

Couldnt of said it better..spot on!!!

I started Induction on Friday the 11th. But I have Cheated, everyday!! Last time my husband did this with me so it was much easier. Watching him eat Papjohns Cheese bread and That heavenly Cinnipie last night was torture, but I did not submit!! I stayed strong, and just went to bed
So today, I am not going to cheat. Full on and strong.
I do have some questions.
Does Regular coffee and Russel Stovers sugar free zero carb candy cause weight loss stalls?

Well girl, at least you pigged out on carb free foods. In the DANDR book apparently chicken in "free" food. Some days I just can seem to quench my hunger as well.

Good Morning girls!! Is everyone staying strong this morning?? Mind over matter!! sounds like a cop out.. But seriously.. it is in your head/thoughts!

Well thats my little bit of encouragement for the morning!

-Jamistar: Today is a new day!! My BF and 3kids eat things I can not/do not want to have for purposes of the betterment of myself and health.. It is hard, but as time goes on it does get easier. I would not recommend temptations in the first few weeks (ie. watching family eating things you love!), as those are the hardest and easiest times to give in. Each time you cheat you are basically starting over, and torturing yourself. I have been there.. too many times!

-Ms.Envy: Good Morning! omg! TOM sucks!!! lol! I fill like an empty pit and no matter how much I eat I am famished! I am always like.. wth?? I feel like a huge pig at this TOM. and I want sweets so bad. and no matter how much and no matter what I eat, I am not satisfied!! It is true hell! So try and stay busy keep your mind on something else!! I know it's easier said then done. But worth a shot!

-I totally feel everyone on the expense of LC.. chicken is ur friend.. thighs wings and drumsticks.. lol! Damn breast.. to much $$.. hahaha.. It sucks when my friends spend their "spending money" on clothes and shoes and I get to use mine on red meat and veggies.. and all the things my kids "need" lol!! I love my babies and giving them things. But when my daughter "has to have" 2 binders for school and I find them empty, lying in her room and she is using some folder. ok.. can we say... waste of money? but that is just a small example, and I am going off subject.. lol! again

well.. where is everyone this morning? Feeling kinda lonely! come on girls! Don't make me send out a search party!!

to anyone in need of some encouragement.. We are HERE 4 U!!

Not sad! It is a very happy day! You are in a wonderful place. Maybe you can whip up some SF jello and WC.. Or some cream cheese with a lil sweetner. I know you are on induction, so I won't recommend any recipes too far off the lower end of carbs! better yet, put a candle in a steak!! Celebrate your bday, grandparents day and the NEW you, all in one!!

That is something my BF would say.. lol!! men! gotta love em. do we really?

p.s my bday is the 26th, I will be trying to imitate a cake! hahaha!!

Sourpeach, thanks for the reply. It was and is hard seeing all my fav foods going into the mouths of my loved ones. If its late, like last night I just go to bed, or I start organizing drawers or cabnets. Oh well. I am proud that I did not cave.

To everyone else, I hope you all had a wonderful day. I'm sorry our birthday friends couldn't have their cake, but just think, that 5 minutes of cake indulging isn't worth it. I always ask myself, how will I feel about myself in the morning!
Today I had
Breakfast. 2 scrambeled eggs with 1 ounce cream cheese. 1 cup coffee with one splenda and cream
Lunch 2 cups salad, Kens zero carb ceasar dressing. 4oz chx. 1oz cheese
Snack chx drummy.
Dinner. Left over rotissary chx. My spelling is terrible.
Did turbo jam kickboxing today, not much energy due to induction. I had to take 2 breaks!

I really hope I can stick with it now. I write for a blog for work so I can't tell if being home working will make it easier. I think it might.

My last pregnancy was in 2002. In around 2005, my jerky ex left me partially because I didn't get back to where I was (being less chubby) beforehand. While I want someone to love me for me, it still makes me mad he did that. I have been involved with a guy I really am crazy about since 2006, but he lives abroad and a part of me I'd not care to acknowledge thinks maybe he'd commit to me more if I were a bit more show-off-able.

One thing I can't do yet is weigh myself. I went to fat camp as a kid and I'm still terrified of scales. Does anyone here not weigh themselves?
I am also starting this diet (about a week in) not knowing how much I weigh I have a slight idea but wont know and cant weigh myself until the clothes feel okay and after a week I am not noticing a difference??? I think maybe I didnt eat enough I was away for most of the weekend and didnt have many options and wasnt hungry much but I too can not weigh myself it will just cause depression worse than I already am.

So far it is good cause I am not hungry but the food is heavy and I am not sure how long I am going to be able to go without a cookie.... Can I ever have a cookie again? This worries me and I am not a big "sweets" eater I just need a chocolate chip cookie every once in a while. I hate artificial sweeteners and so I had to stop drinking my coffee all together or just with cream this is hard very very hard but it is good cause I am not hungry I just dont know! Any suggestions? Also I am not a cook and being creative and cooking things up is a huge challenge.

Welcome to all of you new members! The first few weeks having this website helped me so much ... when I found myself wanting to eat the things my family was eating, I got online instead. I am now just past my first month, and I have had several people telling me how noticable the weight loss is in just this short period of time. The turning point for me was being in a wedding, seeing the pictures, and thinking that I looked like Barney instead of a bridesmaid! Good luck and you can do it!

Thanks! It is great when people start noticing. I haven't lost the number of pounds I had hoped to lose by now ... but I can tell a difference in my clothes. Some that were tight are getting loose ... not quite in a lower size yet, but getting there. How about you? I figure you have to be down at least one size by now.. you have been doing wonderful.

As for teaching, nope... I never had the patience to teach. I am actually a civil defense attorney... which means long hours at my desk, in the car, and waiting in court ...with very little time to be "active". But I love my job (most days anyway)....

Isn't there a LC chocolate cake on one of the threads??? If you are on induction, you can't have it yet... but it may be something to look forward to later.

Hope you had a great day!

I would love to keep in touch! I think there are a number of us who are in the same general boat in terms of the amount of weight we want to lose.

You have the right idea that this has to be a change in diet and lifestyle -- not just a diet. I think that mindframe has really helped me stick with it this time...

Well, basically you are starting anew. Each time you "cheat" your body has to begin burning fat again. You did not necessarily "undo" what you did. But right now, your body is burning carbs instead of burning the fat.

So just start anew and you will be fine.

As for teaching, nope... I never had the patience to teach. I am actually a civil defense attorney... which means long hours at my desk, in the car, and waiting in court ...with very little time to be "active". But I love my job (most days anyway)....
Oh goodness I can only imagine how consumed with work you could be. Did your first day with the new job go well? Loose clothing and lost inches are so much better!!

My guy told me today, babe ur slimming up big time. I looked at him and said do u see this, as I pointed at my collarbone. I said look you can see it noticeably...he said I know hot momma!! aww how sweet! lol...anyways. I actually am down 2 sizes as of now. I was at a 22 snug when I started and I am in an 18 now. I want to be in a 16 by november. At least....lol...I havent seen 16 in a very long time! I have never been any size lower then that though.....except on my way up and that was proabably in junior high. *always was a heavy set child*

I bounced back up to 212 though and Im sure Its from TOM..but hopefully hte scale will go below 210 once it ends. HOPEFULLY!!!

Huney you've done so well and despite all that goes on in your daily life, I know you are determined to do this!

Keep up the good work!!!
