Boom...

If you are going to make shakes, perhaps you can get the zero carb whey isolate protein powder. It comes in flavors, including chocolate.

By using it, maybe you can get your chocolate fix with fewer carbs. I havent tried that particular powder, but have seen some reviews that it is pretty good.

You can do a search in it on google....and check netrition.com for it. I dont know if they have it or not, but if not it is on the web and you can order it.

I would order some myself, but before I read about it I had ordered two large jugs of another brand, and so want to use those up before I order another, and since they are big jugs, that probably wont be for a year or more.

I did the same thing & it has made it much easier (i.e. less induction "flu") THe last 2 weeks in May I really started tapering off my carbs (and I was eating pretty healthy whole grains - but too much and too many birthday parties etc!) and then started "real" induction June 1st. I only had one day where I really felt crummy.

Boom, your dinner last night sounds delicious!

I agree that it's best to keep away from the nuts for now. Once you've been on plan for a few weeks you can add that them back slowly without doing damage, but in the beginning they can stall your weight loss.

Have tons of fun at your bachelorette party tonight!

I'm down 2.2 since last Monday, but today was crap. When someone leaves our department, it's tradition to bring in tons of sweets. I could've stayed away, but I ate some of it. My breakfast and lunch were solid though, so hopefully I didn't gain anything. I'm going to do M/E all weekend to even things out.

And I haven't had any exercise this week except a walk to the grocery store one night to get milk (something like 5 blocks round trip) and, uh, playing a lot of Rock Band. :

FINALLY checking in again. Crazy week. Started online classes on Monday, had to drive to my parents ranch yesterday (4 hours one way) to pick some stuff up. I'm so tired and cranky, but I've stayed on plan. Hopefully tomorrow will be better!

Checking in. I had a mortifying experience yesterday, so I am back OP hardcore.

Menu:
B: bacon & eggs
L: BBQ chicken, broccoli
D: BBQ chicken, broccoli
S: cream cheese/ davinci's
S: cheese crackers
S: pepperoni

When I went shopping yesterday I noticed a new "health food" section right by the produce. I wasn't interested in most of it, but they had some Walden Farms products. I got the no carb BBQ sauce, so I'm gonna try that today. They also had no carb marshmallow fluff I left it alone so I wouldn't go gonzo with it while I'm just trying to get back OP. I also picked up some parchment paper, so I might try making that pizza again tomorrow.

My plan is to somehow make my way through a 1 mile WATP.

Woke up in a much better mood, thank God. I was about to off someone yesterday. I realized this morning I'm a little obsessive about the Ketostix and weighing. I guess I'm so afraid the scale will go up that I can't "not" do it.

You are so lucky to have choices. Out here in the sticks I'm lucky to find LC ketchup!

It's unusual for me to find stuff like that. I can't even get LC ketchup. I hope a lot of people try some of it, cause the store has a crappy habit of discontinuing those "health food" products that aren't popular.

It's normal, I think. We all used to be obsessed with the scale, too. Ya know... back when it moved down and not up But don't let it get to you. I'm telling you right now, there are gonna be days, maybe even weeks where you do everything right, and the scale either doesn't budge, or even goes up! I think daily weighing keeps some people accountable, just don't let the results make you upset if you are sticking to your plan.

Okay, so I know we're REALLY wanting to lose the weight and all, but seriously... how many calories is that? I bet it's no more than 600 total. You have GOT to eat something else! <---- that's the closest they have to a "stern" face.

I don't know cause I didn't check with fitday...but I'm assuming the burgers are high calorie. lol

It's just until Monday when I plan to add back cheese in my diet. Plus, now that the hunger is under control I'm going to slow down on the beef and switch to chicken and fish with veggies next week. But all I have in the house is beef right now. lol

I seriously think there's no more than maybe 300-400 calories in even a big burger. You better slather that burger up in mayo.

What are you planning for next week? I bought a bag of chicken breasts and a bag of tilapia filets, both frozen but I don't really know what to do with them yet. Ooh, I also scored a bag of diced chicken that was frozen that I'm gonna measure out and store in Ziplocks to add to my salads.

Hey

Just checking in. I finally had a loss, with TOM being here no gain and that was good....but THEN......the salty sweet craving of mac nuts and chocolate kicked in. I am up 1/2 a pound but oK with that it is over. I will hit water and behave and be on track with a loss for Monday...hopefully.

I feel smaller but not much loss on the scale. My clothes are looser, rings are looser and all that but I think I lose the inches then the pounds if I remember correct. The bloat in my stomache is going down. I feel like I am deflating.

If only we could keep off that scale...especially when hormones are in play the scale may not budge but the inches continue to come off. I did measure everything from my arms to my lower calfs for those times when the scale is not moving I know the fat is!

Well, I do best when I keep my menu boring so I plan to have the same thing all week long. Monday night I'm having dinner with my brother so I'll either order a steak or salmon and veggies if they have it. The rest of the week I'll be eating either grilled salmon with broccoli and cheese, or baked chicken with green beans. I'll probably alternate days so that I don't get bored.

Well at least you feel the weight coming off. That's all that matters. I love when my clothes start getting looser.

Hey Riot, when you did low carb before, you drank crystal light and still lost, right?

I've tried to do plain water the last few days but I'm not drinking enough, so I'm thinking if I start adding crystal light I'll be able to up my water intake.

It's not worth it if it stalls me though....

yeah, for the first like 2 weeks that I did LC, I didn't even know it had those "hidden carbs". And I lost just fine. After that I switched mostly to tea, though, since I was drinking about a gallon of fluids a day, which would have been like almost 15 carbs if it was all Crystal Light. I prefer to eat my carbs rather than drink them

Boo i just had alk thid types up and my computer shut down

Boom- Good job! I had to stop with the nuts too! I was having way to many of them. Have fun at your party! % dinner. I love calamari And thanks so much for your words of wisdom I will fill ya in real quick. My BF and i were stationed together. Almost two years ago(this november)he got stationed in england. I now go back and forth there. (b/c i an only go for 6mo at a time, looked into visas nut none apply to me) Tried getting jobs on base(but i am not a dependent, so thats out of the question). So i come back here so school/work then go back. It's j ust tough, but i am really thankful for the time i do get to spend with him. The military could have sent him to much worse locations(like the middles east) at least i know he is safe there. I love England. It's just hard being away. But this november coming, will mean that he only has one year left.So i only have one more trip then its back home for us! I guess this wasn't as short as i thought it was going to be

Drae- You are also doing amazing! Glad you are feeling better today I have troubles with the scale too! I hop on it everytime i go to the bathroom. I weigh myself so much, i learned that at night, if i weigh 2 pounds more than i did that morning, then i can expect a gain the next day I have been trying to back ogg lately!!!

Welcome BSBarlow!!!

Riot & FF- Wow! I am really proud of you guys. Riot you foiund your mojo, and FF you sre doing great with your m&e. KUTGW!!Oh yeah riot, i found a talapia recipe (i need to go find it again) It used parmesan and mayo. Gosh it sounded yummy I'll post it later.

Snix-I'ts okay. Have your fun. Gkad you got your tickets, sound like a blast!Oh yeah, i think about her sometinmes too! She should pop in and not make us worry
