I find it really bizarre that I'm really not that hungry today, so the ketosis must be kicking in....however the sweet cravings are still just as strong today as they were a week ago. I was contemplating buying some cream cheese to make a LC cheesecake today, but I'm trying to hold off on that for as long as possible because I'm already eating a lot of cheese on a daily basis and I don't want to stall myself right from the beginning.

It's very frustrating. I soooo wish I was one of those people that doesn't like sweets. One of my best friends doesn't have cravings for sweets ever. She said she's more of a chips and dip kind of girl. I soooo wish I was like that.

Hi

Thanks for the welcome. Right now I am so exhausted, for breakfast, I had 2 eggs scrambled with onions, cheese and 3 vienna sausages, snack-atkins shake, lunch was tuna fish, dinner was chicken cooked with cream of chicken soup, and sauteed string beans and broccoli. I am waiting for my boyfriend to come home so we can do Tae Bo. I just don't have any energy for it right now but I know exercising is very important. It's so hard to keep motivated.

P. S. I had a very strong urge to drink Gingerale, that is nice and cold in the refrigerator, but instead I had sugar free jello with whip cream and then some water. The urge have subsided for now.

Drae, how long did it take you to get from 214 to 195? I'm dying to get out of the 200's. That's my main goal right now. lol

If I wouldn't have had a couple of carb days it would have taken right about 2 1/2 weeks. I'm not big on exercising, I just walk daily. I'm stalled again, so I'm a little frustrated!

So I just tried a cheesecake muffin for dessert.....

It was ok...not the texture I was thinking it would be, and I think next time I'll add some DaVinci syrup to the batter...

Why do I feel like I cheated????

use sour cream in the mix...it seems to help the mix...also less eggs...I'll post a recipe later

FF- Congrats on the cravings going away. I have the same problem with the sweets. Saying no to sugar is my main goal right now. It isn't going so well, but i am working on it. I think that things will get better when i am at home and find a job. I 'll be busy, and not sitting around the house thinking about sugar cookies lol.

Riot- I'm having the same troubles. You will get there. I still think that you are doing great!!

Drae0 Wow 2.5 weeks. Good job girl!!You are kicking some major butt!

Snix & Jeep- where are you?Come out of hiding lol

Hey,

just saying hey

This is a busy sight!

Are you all following Atkins or other low carb plans. And how many carbs are you allowing?

I stick to 10-15. That seems to work for me. I finally got into deep ketosis yesterday...and got a gift from mother nature. I know if I keep it up some major pounds will drop when this is over. BUT no cravings for chocolate or salty stuff so that is good.

Have a great day

Michelle

Hey most people on this thread are LCing.(that is when we are sticking to our plan) I personally am not on any plan right now. Just trying to get back on track. I think most ladies here try to stay around 20. I think its mostly ymmv. I guess i can't really help you much, i am sure once every one checks in today, they will answer your questions. Sounds like you are doing great though. I wish i had your loss of sweet/salty cravings!Keep up the good work!

I think I am less sweets driven than I used to be...but I don't think the craving will ever be totally gone. Sugar free fudgsicles help2 of them are 5 carbs...I don't think they are really induction legal, but I have them around & if they keep me from something worse - so be it!

Michelle - Atkins induction is 20 net carbs a day. Personally, I'm trying to keep it to 20 total carbs a day & don't subtract out the fiber & sugar alcohols. I use sparkpeople to track my food - it also gives you a tally of grams of carbs/protein/fats. I don't know how long I could stay @ 10 - 15 carbs...is that net?

I try to stay under 20 carbs. I assign a carb value to almost everything I eat because even if the package says it has zero, there is usually some carb content. I don't think I could stay around 10-15! I use Linda's recipe site quite often for a variation of foods, and that seems to help. Here is a link to the induction menus that have lots of great recipes.

Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes - Induction Menus

Keep up the good work ladies!

That's what I'm hoping for Ollamo. I need to stop weighing myself everyday. When I'm sticking to plan, I'm addicted to the scale though.

Yeah, the new challenges always get me more motivated too. I think it helps when everyone is on plan together because then we get motivated by eachother's losses.

Just checking in. I have been on track..though I suspect its going to be a little harder today. I woke up tired this morning and just not thrilled to be dieting.

I got my Wii fit on Monday night so had my first real workout on it yesterday, and that may account for the tiredness...it certainly accounts for the stiffness.

I also am on Atkins induction. I just completed the first two weeks and was very strict about foods. I think I will not be quite so strict on foods, but keep my carbs to 20 and below, and try to keep my combined cream and cheese to 4 oz or less.

Last night I made cheesecake muffins and had one for dessert, and felt like I was cheating.

I also made some oopsie rolls last night. Havent had one yet, but will probably for lunch and maybe for dinner depending on what I have.

Havent planned out my menu yet. Just had my coffee w/hwc. May or may not have breakfast....if I do it will be a scotch egg. Lunch will probably be beef stew, and I havent figured out dinner yet. Either 3 cheese spinach bake, or meat and veggies.
