I think I had too much sodium yesterday - I'm quite puffy today!!

Menu Plan:
B: again, running out the door, no time - just coffee
L: stir-fried veggies (peppers, onions, asparagus, broccoli, mushrooms) and chicken breast w/ some chicken broth and a little soy sauce
D: 1/2 porterhouse steak, salad w/ ranch dressing

Drinking LOTS of water!!

YUM.
Boom, where are you going on your honeymoon?

Dh does that crap to me. Sometimes right under my nose. I'll be in the middle of fixing a meal for myself, put like the main dish on a plate, turn around to get something and when I look back, my food is gone.

Can't say I know what that might be. Generally cramps from low potassium occur in the calves. But I suppose they could happen in the thighs, as well. Are you taking a multivitamin?

Thanks, everyone, for the support!

Also, root beer floats are ON the diet? How does that work? I guess diet root beer and low carb ice cream? Do they make that? Man, this diet would get so much easier if that were on the menu!!!

Sorry I'm a day late posting my weigh in. Obviously I gained a few in Vegas.... Today is day 2 of working out. I've been doing hip hop abs and it feels really good to work out. I know 2 days isn't a lot of days to have under my belt to those of you who don't know me. But it's a big deal to those of you that know I haven't worked out more than 1 day in the last 9 months!!! I even got up this morning at 7:30am and worked out!! That's a big deal for me.... Anyway, I got on the scale yesterday morning and was too ashamed to post my weight of 172 considering I was at 155 in February and March. I absolutely refuse to gain this weight back so I've been in "detox" the last two days. My headaches are killing me but I know it's because of the sugar/carb withdrawal. They will get better I'm sure. I don't even have an excuse for gaining almost 20 pounds back. None at all other than I have just been too comfortable eating whatever I want, whenever I want. So I really am back at it this time around and I'm NOT going to gain this weight back. I will really try to check in here everyday because I've been slack about it (mostly because I'm ashamed and don't want to face the fact that I've gained weight). Anyway, hope everyone has a good day and can forgive me for being MIA for the last 4-5 months but hopefully you can understand why I haven't wanted to hold myself accountable.

...birds a feather darlin!
I have been where you are so feel your pain... and I'm truly still up...from the past that is. I wish the scale would say 135 again...and it's been so long, I'd be happy with 140...now, if I could stop cramming my face with chips and cake

...oh, and congrats on the exercise!! ...I DO know how proud you have to be. I'm with you on that one. I'm really active but hate exercise. I love to do things which do not feel like exercise like biking and hiking. If the damned wheather would just cooperate, I'd start riding my bike to work!

Belle, do not be ashamed. I guarantee that every single person on this thread has lost weight only to gain it right back again. I've been here since 2007 and I STILL haven't come close to getting to goal. You at least got very very close to goal. So you slipped a little. There's no shame in that. Definitely get back to posting every day so we can help you get back on track. We're here to support you not judge you! Besides we need you. Your success has been such a great motivation to all of us.

Beach, if I lived in Colorado I'd grill up a few days worth of steak and bring it over to your doorstep and force you to eat it even if you don't like beef. lol
It's really the ONLY thing that gets me back on track when I can't walk away from the carbs. You're so close to goal though so it's really understandable that you eat cake and chips. I'm sure you already look great so where's the motivation to lose, you know? For me it's the mirror and looking gross in my clothes that gets me motivated. If I was as close to goal as you and I already looked good, I doubt I'd be able to resist eating the good food. lol

Oh, I can vouch for myself...I'm not pleased with the mirror...
But you are right, I get lazy and comfortable because I haven't had a size change...but it is also what gets me frustrated and off plan

I need to buy a huge pack of steak.
I've been really good so far today and yesterday...fingers crossed I can get back OP. I'm not thrilled with the Boca burgers...but my family leaves them alone

(haha, everything has a flavor when you're dieting, right?!) The short version of the reason is this. Back in the day, women couldn't vote on church issues, so a faction of the church split off and became ELCA. They take women's stuff pretty seriously. The pastor marrying us is a woman, which is pretty neat, because they don't always allow women to be pastors in the other flavors of Lutheranism and in Catholicism and other religions. My parents changed to ELCA before I was born because my mom is very involved in church issues. My fiance's family is Catholic but he was not brought up in the church, and since I wasn't going to convert, we chose the Lutheran church. We went to a lot of them before finding this one, however, after we had already decided to do it there, they told us that the services had been changed to reflect respect for women. I guess they said its an ELCA thing now. I don't know.

In the end, I'm going to go meet with the pastor in person on Thursday and tell her that we just can't think of doing it another way. My fiance doesn't want to walk together. I don't want to walk with both of my parents (because how will I also hold the bouquet?). Plus, as Joe said, "People expect to see ONE THING when the bride comes down the aisle... a Dad holding on to her that's more nervous than she is." So... I'm going to tell them its got to be this way, and that he's accompanying me, NOT "giving me away" like a piece of property.

18 days, ladies. I'm about to freak out.

Not to mention that this is an honorary thing for your father, it is NOT chauvinistic. It is Tradition...and has the weight of time behind it. This is YOUR wedding, and YOUR day. Dont let the church bully you into something you dont want. You have the ceremony you want.

okay...here is the new b@tch of the day!! I made a whole chicken last night for dinner and had like 8 extra drumsticks as well...I baked all of this and it was nummy! Whoa-where did you find a chicken with 8 EXTRA LEGS? Sorry, that's just how my brain perceived it when I saw that.

So far so good on the food, my first day back and all. I totally overeat calorie-wise the first few days back 'til I hit ketosis, then I level out a bit. I had a can of vienna sausages around 10 a.m. and a salad with shredded cheese and ranch dressing for lunch. I thought I had a packet of tuna to go with that, but apparently left that at home so I upped my cheese to 3 servings rather than 1. I'm glad dairy doesn't seem to bother me too badly, I eat tons of it at least the first week or so. I also love the hot & spicy pork rinds, but my Wal-Mart doesn't carry pork rinds anymore and I don't have any today. Hopefully Kroger still has them, I'll stop by there on my way home from work. If they have them I guess I'll stock up! I decided to come back to low carb on a bit of a spur of the moment and haven't really had a chance to stock up on my staple items. Thank goodness we usually always have salad makings and eggs around. I've got some eggs boiled to make egg salad with for supper.

Gotta get back to work, just wanted to pop in and when I did I just HAD to ask about that 8-legged (actually 10-legged I guess) chicken-LOL.

Yes I think that popcorn REALLY wanted in there! Its enough of a blistered spot that it may leave a small mark for a while after the blister is gone!

I can call that "my battle scars" from my low carb diet! LOL

I was gonna make a pizza that I found the recipe for on here, but dawned on me I have no pepperoni, sausage, pizza sauce!! Just cheese and mushrooms!! Man I hate the couple days before payday! Guess I will have to root a round in the kitchen to see what I have to make! Shoot I was looking forward to the pizza!

Wish I had one of those 10 legged chickies now!!!! Everything is frozen and it is almost 4pm now here! Hum..... before low carb it would have been order out pizza or pasta!!

Must go and look for din-din!

Speaking of pizza...I passed by a pizzaria UNO today and started dreaming about having one of their deep dish pizzas. Mmmm....

Only 80 more pounds to lose and then I can have it.

Have any of you ever made G Stellas fried "rice"? I just love that! I will be getting me a huge head of cauliflower tomorrow!

OH I am so excited!!!!!!!!!! I forgot about that recipe! I never thought cauliflower could be so good!

Never had much luck with "mashed" potatoes though
