((((skulking in with tail between legs))))

Okay, so I joined the Spring challenge all gung-ho and didn't even last a week - I don't think I even posted one week's weight loss. I guess I wasn't as committed as I thought. So, here we are 12 weeks later and I'm still in the same place and I'm MISERABLE!!! Why is this so hard??

So, if it's okay with ya'll I'd like to pop back in mid-challenge. July 27 is going to be here quickly whether I lose weight or not and I'd really like to be down a few pounds by then!!

Had a good induction day yesterday and stocked up on veggies and meats at the store and grilled a lot of stuff for the week, so I'm well supplied for success.

I weighed this morning 162 lbs. I've been going in the wrong direction for months!! Summer is no time to be getting larger - time for action!!

I'm so happy to see that all the babies are happy and healthy and FF and Riot are doing well!!

OOh boy did I have fun these past few days. I slipped and slipped over and over. My gain does not look bad compared to last Monday's number....I actualy gained five pounds! BUT I think the exercise saved me from going over and beyond my starting weight.

But it's 9 pounds in 2 weeks, so it's kinda like 4.5 pounds in a week

The only thing I can think of is either Fage yogurt, or making yocheese and using that

Riot, your menu looks delicious. I think the low calorie plan will be good for you too. I've been at the point where I can't stop eating carbs no matter how hard I try, and if I had just switched to low calorie at that point I could have kept from gaining sooo much weight. lol

Besides, once I get to goal, I know I'll switch to low calorie/moderate carbs to maintain because that's more of a lifestyle I can stick with long term.

Thanks. I'm trying to do damage control. I can't believe I've gained almost 20 pounds since freaking giving birth. Even my fat girl clothes don't fit me right now. Like, the ones I wore before ever starting LC.
Oh well.... forward march

Riot, I can't believe I'm this much over 200 after working sooooo hard to get into onederland. I ate entirely too much chocolate while pregnant and now I'm paying the price. I just remember how long it took me to get out of the 200's last time and it terrifies me that I'll be stuck in the 2's all summer.

yeah, but I can't even blame this one the pregnancy. I was down to 192 with absolutely no effort on my part after having her. Everything I have gained since then is all on me.... literally

OK dropped 6.5lbs last week. Didnt gain or lose anything over the weekend which is a victory in my book. I read on one post that someone is switching from Low Carb to Low Cal. Ive tried that many, many, many times over the past 3 years and it just didnt work for me. Its too hard when you open up the entire food specturm and try to limit calories NOT to cheat. At least with Low Carb you basically shut down most of the danger foods out there and you know you cant have them. But that is just MHO.

Today:
B: Baby Bell Cheese
L: Salad with Chicken
D: Baked Chicken Breast
S: Non Nitrate Deli Meat

Im not sure...the recipies I have seen are all for something sweet.

Most of them seem to involve eggs, tofu or cream cheese, protein powder and ice.

I suppose you could use the eggs or egg beaters, and either tofu or cream cheese. Leave out the protein powder, unless you have an unflavored one. On the other hand, spinach is fairly bland, and if you are going to add fruit, maybe a vanilla protein powder would be ok

I am ashamed to say that I blew my weigh in and all the hard work I did this past week!

I had to take my Hubby to the hospital Saturday night and with the stress of him there and absolute hunger, I hit the junk machine! I had a brown sugar pop tart! Thing is I really do not care for them, not a favorite thing but was the best thing in there to me at the moment! But daw gone if it did not start a fire in me with the sugar! Yesterday I tried to be good I really did!! BUT I got on a peanut butter and jelly kick! My girls opened some of the home made peach jelly I made last summer and I could not resist! I think I had three peanut butter and jelly sandwiches yesterday! Just angers me beyond belief! I had weighed myself thursday and HAD been down 6.8lbs! MAN I can not believe I did that!

I "felt" the junk I ate as well! I felt like a giant slug! No energy, no excitement, just like crap!

I started myself this morning with an atkins shake! I think I will do those for the day and diner will be a bit more satisfing .....meat and a salad or green beans!

Hope for a better week!
Vicki

Only lost about a pound this week...I had a 2 oz cream cheese and DaVinci syrup a few times last week....Im thinking maybe that slowed me down...not sure. I'll skip it this week and see if things pick back up. Darn it! I so wanted a sweet I could have after Dinner to help keep the cravings at bay.

Hope everyone else does well!

Oh shoot, Riot! That really sucks. How very disappointing! But it is so totally understandable! I hope your hubby is ok. Stress is awful.

I also am a stress eater, and I know how hard that is to resist. Just pick it back up today, if you can. You know...I think it is harder sometimes to get back on the wagon once you have fallen off....but climb back up! Here is a hand to help you up.....

So, my new High Carb Diet...it's working awesome
just what I want to see...the scale move up
I don't have any money to buy meat these days...or anything else for that matter. Today, B: Eggs and Bacon L: 2 Bunless Boca Burgers (from one of my past diets, god I hope they taste okay because they are so not fresh! also lettuce and dressing D: Chicken and greenbeans. This is the best menu I can come up with currently. I'm not sure what tomorrow will bring, but I think eggs are pretty much on the menu for the week. I have a case of them and not much else. ...Long story **sigh**

***added your weight Wy since we posted at the same time***
Thanks!

I know how it is to be broke. We are very nearly not making our mortgage...its touch and go every month.

Do you have a costco or a Smart and Final? They usually have good prices on chicken and meat. Chicken is 89 or 99 cents a pound. I am getting ten or 12 pound roasts for about 25-28 dollars at Smart and Final. I then cut those up into 1 pound or 2 pounds and freeze them. You can further cut them up into stew meat...stew goes a long way and is easy to make low carb.

We also are buying cases of canned green beans at costco...they are pretty cheap and add a bit to dinner, and are low carb.

I hope things turn around for you soon. I HATE living paycheck to paycheck.

Hubby woke up with his back hurting, as the day went on it got worse! So it was time to take him to be checked! We found out years ago he has a curviture to his back which it not a real problem, but has three spears going into his spine, when we found out about them they were small enough that it took a closed MRI to see them, last year a regular xray showed them, so they have grown more. SO we thought it was that, but to our surprise it was not that , he has a buldging disk down low! Now he is on 4 different meds! They are helping to move!

It's the curse of the effing pop tarts! First it haunted me and Riot, and now you! They are currently banned from my house because of the damage they create!

WOE: Bad carbs are yucky.
Start Date: Every minute!
I stayed up ALL NIGHT on Saturday, until about 9am on Sunday. Why did I do such a crazy thing??? I was watching the 24 hours of Le Mans race live from France. Those of you that follow me on Twitter or Facebook were probably scratching your heads at my updates. LOL

My team ended up 9th in their class -- an amazing accomplishment at their first Le Mans race!!! They also raised over $250,000 for their charity! I am so proud to be a fan!

The race ended at 8am on Monday, but I still chatted with a few friends for an hour, then crawled into bed and napped until noon.

This evening is a company picnic at the park. They're ordering Famous Dave's BBQ, which I adore. BUT, the meat is full of msg, and the sauce is pure sugar. I should go, for visibility for our team and company politics, but I'm gonna skip it. If I go, I'll eat the ribs. I know it, so I'm not going to do it. That's one temptation I am not ready to ignore, so best not put myself in that situation.

I was reading her post and thinking "don't worry sweetie, one day you'll be married and then you'll actually look forward to him going away on trips."
