How are you doing today Ollamo? Staying strong? I was DYING this morning. Ate my breakfast, snack AND LUNCH by 12:30. lol But after lunch I finally felt satisfied and I've been fine the rest of the day. Let's hope tomorrow is a no hunger day for me.

Well I slipped a bit but not too bad! I had about 10 ozs of Vodka last night, but no orange juice, I used orange flavored crystal light! Boy was it gooood!!
Now I am being very good! I sure hope it does not screw up my weigh in for Monday! Been pushing the water and eating very light! Have a good evening |

Eating is good. Passed on lots of stuff at DH's relative's 80th b-day party. All starchy and white. Blech. |

I'm totally drinking wine with dinner tonight, not gonna lie. I've been in the habit of grabbing a couple of bottles every time I go to the store lately, so I've got quite a few and it all sounds delish.

Hi all!
Checking in. Did my workout this morning, then we headed out and went to the Western States Horse Expo. Had a blast. Wish I had money to spend to shop. And got to love on some beautiful horses. I didnt eat breakfast....just forgot, and before we got on the road to the show, we stopped to get our cell phones combined onto one account. What a fiasco! After an hour there we were both starving, and the only thing around was McDonalds. ![]() But I was good. I got a double quarterpounder with cheese, and I had them leave off the ketchup and I just ate the patties, cheese and pickle slices. Was awfully hard to resist the fries DH had...but resist them I did. ![]() For dinner I made Chile Relleno Casserole It was really good, and I thought I would share the recipe. CHILE Relleno Casserole 1 27oz can of mild Green chiles.. Hatch brand is best if you can find them. 8 eggs , or egg substitute .. beaten 2 c. sour cream 2 lbs of Mexican style 4 cheese mix .. shredded. We got ours at Stater brother / Kroger.. It has jack /colby, Queso and Asadero cheese in the mix. 1 -1/4 c milk . Spay a 9x12 pan with PAM Beat the eggs, mix in the sour cream, then the milk, Split all the green chilies so they lay open and flat.. Place a layer of egg mixture in the pan.. cover the bottom with about 6 of the large chilie's .. open and flat, ' top with a layer of cheese, Repeat this sequence at 2 or 3 times depending on the size of the pan.. Use all the egg mixture top lastly with cheese.. Bake for about 45min at 350 * Let it cool just abit before serving . Makes 8 servings. I made a couple of changes that improved the carb count on it. I used homade yogurt that I made from heavy whipping cream instead of sour cream. There are no additives so the carb count stays the same as HWC. And I used water instead of milk. Calories: 531.2 Fat: 45.7g Net Carbs per 1/8 recipe: 5.3 Hope everyone is having fun and staying on plan this weekend! |

Big Yapper!!!!

hey ladies! I've had a busy weekend, sorry to be MIA.
So, I'm taking a new approach and doing low calorie. LC is just not working for me right now, I'm not in the right mindset. I do good all day (but eat super high fat & cal food) then I break down at night and snarf on high carbage, so the pounds are pouring on, instead of off. And it has to stop, I can't continue to just keep gaining I hope this will help with the horrible guilty feeling, too, that I have when I eat LC. In the back of my mind, I still wrestle with myself about doing serious LC while breastfeeding. Ooh, and I am super mad at my Wal-Mart, they stopped carrying Davinci's and replaced it with Torini's or Torano's or something like that. I bought the SF vanilla I wanted, but I hope it tastes as good as the Davinci's, cause I love me some diet vanilla coke. Oh, and since I've been analyzing the crap out of the nutrition labels on everything I eat lately, I noticed something that might be good for LC-ing in the summer- Creamsicles! One pop has 20 cals, 5 carbs and 3 fiber, so only 2 net carbs! Yummo. |

Good morning Ladies! Checking in!
The scale is moving ultra slow...I think I spoke too soon regarding the cream cheese. I suspect that my eating it a few times last week stalled me. so I havent had it for the last few days, and the scale moved 2 ounces. Im afraid there wont be much lost for me at check in tomorrow.![]() Ollamo...I hope you enjoy the recipe. Use whatever spices you like. It tastes good without any, but if you like or expect spicy you will need to add a bunch, cause its very mild. I love mexican food too...but we dont have any good places here...and everything I like is pretty high carb. ![]() B: coffee w/hwc scotch egg L: not sure...maybe chicken or tuna salad D: Chile Relleno casserole and some shredded beef. |

Hi everyone. Just thought I would check in. I've dropped a couple of pounds since I started induction on Friday. It's nice to see the scales going down....but it's still hard.
Riot--I'm breastfeeding, too. I've been trying to eat a lot and drink TONS of water, so I'm hoping it doesn't mess with the nursing. My baby seems fine...my milk seemed a little low yesterday, but better today. We'll see....I may have to add a little fruit for breakfast or something if my baby starts acting like it is bothering her. I read a lot before I started low-carbing while nursing, and it seems like people have done it successfully while keeping their babies happy. Every person is different, though. However, I can totally understand you wanting to try a different plan. Here's my menu for today: B: egg cream shake for breakfast Snack: 1 oz of cheddar Lunch: Burger, cucumbers and onions in vinegar & Splenda Snack: cream cheese, little cream, davinci's vanilla syrup, cinnamon (good!) Plan for dinner: White Castle Hamburger Pie and Salad Dawn--your casserole recipe sounds divine! I'm putting the stuff on my grocery list this week, for sure! Thanks for sharing.

I think that is natural. Its a really tough situation...and maybe you are feeling it because you did talk to him, but he isnt there to hold.
Still, try to remember that you do have at least that....relying on hand written letters would truly be awful. You will be together again. Is there any way you could emigrate over there. People do do it...but you have to be able to prove you can support yourself and that you wont be a burden on their society. If you got a job there your employer might also go to bat for you as far as staying... |

yes, i tried getting a job on base, but that didn't work out. They mostly give those jobs to military dependents.I also tired thevisa thing, but none of them really apply to me/my situation. I just keep telling myslef this is the last time i have to be away for so long. Oh gosh hand written letters!!I couldn't imagine! lol

My mom was a military wife, and my father was gone a lot...most often he was gone more than he was home, between Vietnam, various trainings, and other things.
I cant even imagine having to deal with that. But as you said this is the LAST time it will be for so long! Focus on that! Count the days, if you have to...if it helps. ![]() |

I am about to go nuts wanting a smoothie. Does anyone have any good ideas of how to incorporate low carb foods into one? I especially want a green (spinach) smoothie and was thinking I could throw in some frozen blueberries, some crystal light sunrise, and maybe heavy cream to make it the right consistency. I would typically use banana, but that's way too many carbs right now.
