Fats
I read somewhere that the fats eaten on a LC diet help you to feel less hungry and fuller!
I am not sure of the reason, but if it helps to lose weight then great! Wish I could find where I read that again! |

Fats make you feel fuller because they are solid and they digest slower so your body is busy busy and not hungry as opposed to carbs that just pass through. Your body will use certain sources for energy. If you had a cheeseburger on a bun with fries and a beer your body will take what is easiest to digest first. First the alcohol, then the carbs, then the protein and fat goes to the back of line....no pun! BUT if you eat fats and protein with just the needed carbs it will pull your fat to help with the depleted sources..hence ketosis. Those fat stores are put to good use if your ratio is right....Atkins had it all figured out. No hunger becuase the body is using sources to keep busy.

Hey you guys
Today I woke up very sluggish, so I did 12 min on treadmill in the morning to wake me up and then my boyfriend and I walked/jogged in the park for an hr. I ate a cheeseburger on a bun with little ketchup last night. I plan on shopping for healthy stuff this weekend. Until tomorrow |

Right now I'm munching on turkey while I plan out my menu, but tentatively, it's B: turkey & bacon L: pizza & broccoli D: pizza & broccoli S: cheese cracker thingies S: cream cheese & splenda Drinking a bunch of diet root beer to get me through the day ![]() I gave that pizza crust another try last night, and it came out great. I havn't actually tasted it yet, but at least it didn't stick to the foil this time! I used parchment paper. I'm going to plug everything into fitday and update my numbers here later for my own recordsBBL, baby's fussing |

But I'm at the stage where I want to cheat so I gotta do whatever I can to stay on plan |

Good morning all! Checking in.
The scale is back to where I started on Monday, so I probably wont have much to report on weigh on Monday. I am and have been on plan with no cheats and have been working out. I think I am seeing a pattern in my weight loss on the graph from fit day. It looks like I loose, then the scale goes up and gradually comes back down to the original level, then I loose again and repeat the process. So maybe this is just my normal pattern? I'll have to wait a while and see if it continues this way. If its just part of a normal pattern then its much easier to accept the scale bouncing around. Anyway, didnt mean to bore folks. I am just finding the process interesting, and I like the tools that fitday has. It helps put things into perspective. Menu for today B:coffee w/hwc scotch egg L: chicken salad and a green salad D: hamburger patties, green salad and green beans. (sorry Jeep...but I just love green beans. LOL) |

I don't know what's wrong with me, but if there were any kind of junk food in my house today I would have cheated by now. I'm sooo craving carbs. Good thing there are zero carbs in this house. Although at this particular moment, I really wish we had something bad to eat!

Maybe you can have a snack of something legal? If it will help? Sometimes it makes it worse for me, because for me it isnt just the craving...but I am not satisfied by a "taste" of anything...I just want to eat it all, and then make some more. ![]() Its good you dont have any temptations to choose from. Do some exercise...that often will stop the cravings...or at least the appetite! |

God. We are so the same person. After I typed that I walked down to the kitchen and whipped myself up some cream cheese and splenda with a dash of dark cocoa powder. Came back to my room and saw your post. hahahahaha
Let's hope this does the trick. |

Good thinking. I'll do anything to keep myself from getting in the car and driving to the grocery store to get the pop tarts that are calling my name. lol
Honestly, what the eff is up with me and pop tarts? What am I, 10? |

hehe. You're 10 too. I mean, grown women shouldn't love pop tarts so much! lol
Yes, we'll stay strong. If I didn't have a baby to take care of, I'd close the bedroom door and go back to bed and sleep off the cravings. Oh well...maybe I'll make a starbucks run and get an iced coffee later. That usually fills me up for a few hours. |

Can you all give me some insite on CARBQUIK? I have never used it and wondered how good it is? Does it stall or stop weight loss that anyone has seen? I would love to find a product like this, but worry about stalls. It states that it has 2 grams per severing?

I have a box, but havent used it. I dont think I would use it on induction. I bought it mostly for when I move to OWL. On the other hand, thinking about it, it probably is something that ought to be used judiciously when you have reached goal...Im not sure. I havent looked at the ingredients so I dont know what is in it..but if it has flour of some kind then I wouldnt use it until maintenance and then probably judiciously. The front of the box says 2 net carbs....I'll have to read the box when I get home...
![]() On the other hand, if it jumpstarts my cravings, it will go in the trash. |

Can I join you all? I have been posting around trying to find a group to join, and am not having any luck. First, I tried to start a moms losing baby weight challenge, and got no responses. Then, I posted on another challenge thread asking if I could join and seem to have killed the thread altogether! Geeze....I feel like a reject. LOL. Anyway, I was checking out your thread and it looks like there are some new moms here and other great ladies. Will you take me? :-) I could really use some accountability.

Absolutely!
![]() Come on in. Im not a mom and wont be, but there are a few others on here. Since Im not a mom (other than to my four footed kids) I probably wont chime in on threads of that nature, but everyone is welcome here, and the other moms on the board will, I am sure, jump on the challenge wagon. ![]() |
