Congrats bsb! That's great!
Morning everyone! Woke up craving sweets today. i think I might make a LC cheesecake today. It will probably slow down my loss, but I think it's more important to keep have something ready to keep me from grabbing something sugary in a moment of weakness. Menu B: scrambled eggs, cheese L: pot roast D: salmon, green beans S: (maybe) LC cheesecake |

Hi, everyone!
I don't have much to say today... I know! GASP, right!? Ha. I'm feeling really anxious about my wedding. Also, Joe's Dad is having open heart surgery, 23 days before our wedding. ![]() B: bacon, canadian bacon, egg. L: AWESOME salad made by my soon-to-be DH at his restaurant. Not off the menu, of course. It was chicken, cheese and romaine mostly. D: Sausage and sauerkraut (yeah, we live in WI, its hard not to!) Workout: two high intensity walks (35-45 mins each), 1.5 hours of disc golf (9 holes) SO, an LC cheesecake can set you back? How so? I'm learning so much from you guys. Maybe I can jumpstart my weightloss even more without the snacks. I felt really gross last night after dinner, but I had had so many snacks yesterday that I figure that was part of the problem. Most of them were cheese or cheesecake. So must be that. RiotGirl, I know what you mean about the smoking. I haven't seriously smoked in 3 years and still break down from time to time. I would say that if you were once a smoker, you will always be one. I still dream about it. You have to just be strong! I love dogs. I have one (not a boxer) and he's the sweetest thing. His name is Louie and he's a Catahoula Leopard Hound. We think he may be a purebred, but we're not sure, since he's a rescue. ![]() |

Boomchick, it's different fir everyone. Some people eat the LC cheesecake and still see losses on the scale. For me personally, cream cheese tends to stall my weightloss.

Thought I would check in!
Boy I learned a valuable lesson last night and still hurting from it! Came home with DH and was carring his 12 pack of beer, our lab come sprining up to me carring her VERY LARGE tennis ball, about 10 inches across! So like the goof ball I must be, picked it up in the empty had and did a fast hard drop kick with a spring in my kick! (GOT ENERGY FOR THE LC!LOL) But when I came back down on the foot I kicked it with, I hit wrong and down I came on the side of my ankle! The beer went flying as I went down! I really screwed up the ankle and a rib on the back! MAN I am sore! I did go to work, but boy did I have a hard time! The only plus about it ,,,, the rib hurting made me get so sick feeling I did not eat alot today! But did eat! As for smoking! I quit ten years ago and then when I did gain about half my weight back I started again thinking it would help my hungry and it did not!! From the time I was young and started smoking it seemed to help with hunger, but the last time I smoked I ate more, I thought it was due to guilt because I started and was using a poor excuse to restart! THEN I quit smoking again and that is when I packed on my last 35 pounds, I went into the hospital and had my hystorecomy and quit smoking all at the same time and boy that was a bad two items to do at the same time! It will be 4 yrs the day before my birthday July 12 that I quit smoking! I hope to never take it up again! My Hubby still smokes wish he would quit too! Hope everyone is having a dandy of an evening! Vicki 232~06/08/09 B~ Atkins Mocha Shake L~ Atkins Mocha Shake S~ Cheese stick D~ Still to come~ |

Hi all!
Checking in late today. I knew it was too good to be true, the scale jumped up today. I figured what I lost yesterday must be water weight, but I hate it. ![]() Oh well...I have been good and have stayed on plan and am exercising, so I am sure it is water weight. Boom...your dog is beautiful. I love merles. They are so very striking. As for the cream cheese...I seem to be ok with it, but I make sure that I have not gone over my 4 oz of cheese if I have it, and make sure that my serving doesnt put me over. Actually, I add HWC to that too and try to keep my servings of cheese/cream cheese/HWC to 3 oz or less per day, but never more than 4. Doing so seems to work for me. I have a strong suspicion that while fat is ok and is encouraged, if you eat too much of it you will stall. It wont knock you out of ketosis, but your body will burn what you have eaten before it burns the fat you have stored, so I think you have to keep it to a reasonable amount, and that amount might be different for each individual person. So far today, I have had coffee w/hwc and some chicken salad. Dinner will be marinated beef, green beans, and probably some mashed cauliflower with bacon and butter. Yum! |

Busy day today. Older 2 had optomotrist appt, baby had to get her first set of vaccinations today
We're not even gonna talk about my food today. ![]() New pics of the baby on FB, BTW. ![]() I hate that I wasn't better prepared today. I didn't know I'd be gone basically al day, or I would have packed some food. Or at least snagged the can of almonds from the pantry. Instead I ended up starving and ate crap from the drive thru. Trying to make the most of tonight, though. |

wyterayven-Thank you for that info, I know that men lose easier, I just wish it would be easier for women
ollamo-thank you for your inspiring words. I hope you find a job soon riot-I don't envy the hectic day, I have a 14 month old and a 12 year old, I work from home and take care of him at the same. I ballooned to my heaviest weight because I did not put myself first. I put everything and everyone first. It is important that we find time just for ourselves to exercise. I am still trying to juggle it all, normally when I am stressed, I eat. I've been trying to squeeze it in at anytime. This morning I awoke at 5am before my son awoke and exercised for 1 hr to gospel dvd, 20 minutes during lunch time, and my BF and I went for a walk/run in the park in the evening. He didn't want to do Tae Bo and I needed to get outside to clear my head and enjoy the scenery at the Park. |

Ok, Checking in for today. Scale is up another 2 oz today.
![]() But it HAS to be water...I have been very good. I havent cheated at all, my calories are at a decent level, neither too high nor too low, I think. And I have been working out religiously on the Wii Fit. I have even added in punches kicks and blocks from the martial arts I used to do, so I am getting a better workout than I would if I just followed the game. And I feel it, so I know its doing some good. I plan to add weights when it gets too easy. The odd thing is that while I was feeling good last week...this week I am TIRED. I just feel a bit run down...not sick...but everything takes effort. And my muscles are fatigued without even doing anything. I hope this is just a phase. But my moods have been generally good, and I think I have had fewer black moods since I started this diet...maybe some of that is the reaction to all the sugar and refined flour, etc... ![]() Meals for today... B:coffee w/hwc scotch egg L: chicken salad with a green salad D: rotisserie chicken w/ green beans and either a salad or mashed cauliflower. |

I got a scale yesterday! And now I've been weighing myself like crazy. I just mostly wanted to see when my lowest of the day was so that I didn't feel depressed every time I step on the scale. So, I will weigh myself when I get out of the shower in the morning.
I went from 158 in April....to.... (drum roll please!).....147 this morning! I don't know if this is just a coincidence, though, because I'm wondering if my doctor's scale was off a bit. It was one of those older ones. I'm setting a goal of 10 pounds til my wedding. 23 days, 4 hours from now. I worry that the dress won't fit because it is too big, now, too. So I'm going to take it slow. I don't have it home yet, though, because they are still fitting it. So that's OK, I guess! I feel super sick today, I don't know if its Atkins or if I have the flu or what, I am having stomach issues. Maybe I'll go home and lay in bed with Louie. I love his merle coat, too. We almost named him Merle like that old country singer, Merle Haggard, but I figured I wouldn't be able to yell "MERLE" like you can "LOUIE!!" haha Anyway... today: B: eggs and pepperoni L: Brought pork chops, can't imagine eating them right now. ![]() D: Something with hamburger, I just don't know what yet. Brought string cheese and chicken salad to work for snacks. |

wyte, try upping your fat a little. I know it sounds weird, but your body is learning to run on your fat stores (yay, Low-carb!) and if you're not getting enough in your diet, you can feel tired. Add more butter (or mayo) to veggies and/or meats, and eat fattier cuts of meat for a few days and see how you feel.
boom, congrats on the loss! Be careful of those bars -- a lot of people report stalls or gains when they eat them. Lots of hidden carbs/extras in those things. |

Thanks Jeep...I am eating quite a bit of fat...I eat the fat on the meat...but I'll try eating more...but doesnt it seem that your body would burn that and not your fat stores, so if you eat a lot of fat wont you stall?
Im eating on average 100g or a little more a day... |

It sounds counter intuitive, but for some reason, it works.
There must be some difference, or maybe when the body is still adapting, it helps things along. |

FF, hello! Your salmon dinner sounds great (well, the fish, not the green beans -- that's one Minnesotan staple food I sure as heck don't like! Sorry. ).
