Heard Five Guys was good... isn't that in the south or something?

For me, it's all about the In-N-Out: double double, protein style, no sauce

I think I might try to make those chicken tenders... that sounds pretty good!

Also in GA (Atlanta area mostly so far). Don't think I'm ready for 5 guys just yet - I'm not 100% sure I could resist the fries!!!!

No, I don't eat the bun...I just order my usual burger and take the bun off. I'm not a big fan of their fries, so that's not a problem for me

Five guys is international. I have the inside line I do know someone who works there. I have some bad news for you tho. Although they use quality ingredients, their limited menu selection is not friendly to low carb. Sure you can order a burger, no bun. Or you can have a hit dog no bun. But, that is about it (except all you can drink diet soda). That is a rather poor meal.

While their generous servings of fries has attracted a gathering, it is useless to me.

ps. Sorry to dis the 5 guys, buddy

pps. I already told you 5 guys needs low carb items

ppps. Actually, I told you quite a number of times.

pppps. 5 guys actually used to serve even more fries, but as a policy they cut back to just bonus super sized

ppppps. There are still franchises available, particularly for huge swaths of Montana, Idaho, Wyoming and Arizona.

Everyone can check and see if there is a 5 guys by them simply by going to Home Page | Five Guys Burgers and Fries and entering your zip code under the location search.

Does anyone know if the burgers are laced with MSG or another flavor enhancer? The reason I ask is that immediately after eating my bunless bacon cheeseburger (sans fries too), my face flushed really bad.

This is a real good indicator of MSG for me.

My friend works at 5 guys corporate, and they seem to go just a bit further than most fast food places on the quality and control of their ingredients. I will ask specifically about MSG, but I seriously doubt there is any. On their web site they discuss specific allergens, including peanuts, soy, gluten and dairy, but not MSG. Is it possible you are allergic to something else?

Brian, I wonder if the lettuce is treated with a preservative? Something caused my face to turn bright red and hot and it happened within moments of eating the burger.

Thanks for asking for me
