Sex & Induction ...
Ha! Got your attention, didn't I?
![]() Well, it does have something to do with my question ... I've stalled on my weight loss. For 3+ weeks I hadn't dropped even a 1/2 lb, and I was becoming very frustrated. Last week I started hitting the gym 6 days a week, with 25 minutes of cardio every day and upped my weight training, too. I thought maybe my metabolism was getting used to 25-30 carbs a day, so I decided to shake things up a bit and dropped down and didn't go over 20 each day. Oh, and one last thing that was different ... DH's snoring has lessened, and we are now actually sleeping together in the same bed (it's been 9 days in a row that I haven't had to sleep in the guest room ... woo hoo!). Soooo, Nature being what it is, Kimby's been "getting" much more than during the snore-athon ... 6 times! (Okay folks, DH is 45 and I'm almost 42 ... daily doings haven't happened in a looooong time for either of us). Today I weighed in at 171! Three pounds from yesterday! So do you think I've hit on the magic combo when stalled on Induction? I told DH that my loss was all due to him (I think he's scared now and will probably banish me to the guest room again). Any thoughts? P.S. ... apologies to those who find this post a bit risque, but it IS on topic ... ![]()

LOL!!!
Well since you did three diff things to shake things up, I dunno that we can determine whether any of those, or the combination of those helped with the weight loss. However, I would say, keep doing what you're doing LOL |

I think I'm going to stick with what is working; poor hubby! I just hope he doesn't start faking his snoring to get out of HIS part of me losing weight.
Who knows? Maybe he'll start dropping some poundage, too. He's tried the Induction phase with me but the guy just couldn't get past his nightly popcorn and the vending machine at work (but he DID stop smoking, so I guess he can only work on one sin at a time). Chantyl03, I think your siggy line is so spot on! I feel the very same way! And Metga, "I can't do that!" Otto shrugged. "Find someone who vill." |

My guy is 5'7" (only 1" taller than me) and weighs 200#. We we met he weighed 150 and I was 145 ... see what love does to you?
![]() We have about the same body frame, too. I like to joke that the only outward difference in us is I have boobs and hair, and he doesn't ... ![]() I (very) secretly wish he doesn't lose any weight because 1. He's so nice and squeezy and huggy when he's rolly-polly, and 2. He makes me look thinner. Gawd, is that horrible of me or what? I don't try to sabotage him by making lots of fattening things, because that would just screw me up, too, but I really don't encourage him, either. I'm a baaaaad wifey! |

Man, maybe not getting any is why I'm up a pound this week. (DH is going through a medical 'thing' right now, that's one of the effects.
)Getting the MRI results back today, so maybe that'll tell us when 'it' can happen for us again! |

Kensbev, I hope everything turns out okay when his results come back!
![]() My DH was falling behind on his "husbandly" duties last year and we both were becoming concerned. We did some research and found out about "male menopause" ... basically, when a man reaches middle age he doesn't produce as much testosterone as he did when he was younger. He had his doc check his testosterone levels and found that yep, he was running on empty. Now he takes testosterone replacement (his "man juice") and we're all back on track again! ![]() Good luck to you and your honey! |

We're just extremely relieved now that we've found out he doesn't have a tumor. (The doctor suspected that, so he went through the torture of an MRI.) Whatever happens, when they do figure out what's wrong, that man owes me, big time!

I'm believer
This past weekend, as well as Monday and Tuesday I was stuck in a rut at 208.8 - 209. Last night, after I jogged a mile in 13 mins (better than my original 18 minutes I started out at) the wife and I worked out to a little sexercise
. This morning I weighed in at 207.6 . Thank you sexercise!![]() |

Right after you watch my hyped up on sugar, explosive, tantrum throwing 2 1/2 year old, you've got a deal. Because I know if I what your twins first, you'll never watch my son.

I'll have to sleep on that. The twins are my stepdaughters so I didn't live through 2 1/2 yr old twins..I'm not sure I would have made it! I have a 13 yr old son also I'm still not quite over him being 2 1/2

Benel, I totally feel your pain! My oldest started her terrible two's at 18 months. It's lasted about 3 years now, lol. Long enough to for her little sister to join her. Beneen, you totally deserve a medal if you went through that with twins!

WAY TO GO!
Kim.....a lady after my own heart. Believe it or not, I follow almost the exact same routine. I don't lose unless I keep the carbs low and work out..and yes, the sex is GOOD! I'm 43 and my darling Alan is 49 and we're very, ummm, "energetic"....In fact, I was talking this morning about giving up my once a week personal trainer and he put his foot down...
Said I'm so much "better" while working out....Good for you and keep it up....er..him I mean.... ![]() |
