. I guess it all depends. Do you have a really huge amount of weight to lose? |

not really, unless you are hundreds of pounds overweight or are a hardcore athelete who trains for hours and hours a day.
most of us cannot lose more than half a pound of fat a day without damaging ourselves. even then, that's with extreme calorie restriction. |

I think you should just follow the plan and what you lose you lose.
I have put so much pressure on myself lately and I am starting to see its not worth it. You probaly can lose a pound a day in the begining but it will slow down. Thats when you have to be strong and keep going. good luck. |

You might be able to, but that would be very unhealthy. 2-3 pounds a week is recommended. If you're losing a pound a day you're losing a lot of muscle. Weight training while in a calorie deficit is going to help keep some of the muscle, but you'll still be losing a lot of it. Do it the slow and healthy way. I used to weigh over 260 pounds. I lost it in a healthy way, and have been able to keep it off for over 9 years. I did the fad stuff and sure I lost fast, but I felt so sick, and I ended up gaining it back, because I couldn't stick with it.
