PRE-PLANNING MEALS

That's OK, today is a NEW DAY. May 20 can be your Start Date. But you'd better get your act together girlfriend as you know I'm gonna crack the whip...esp with YOU!

Yes, PRE-PLANNING MEALS is a HUGE PART of SUCCESS, esp on INDUCTION

I'm going to do that TODAY, too. I think everyone should. But for those that don't have time, perhaps y'all can get some ideas from me/CrazyMom as soon as we have a chance to post our weekly menu. I need to re-think my EC's ~ I can't afford 8 carbs at breakfast every day! I also need to tally the macros of the Fawn Shake before I decide to incorporate that into my daily plan. I may have to alternate. I think I'm gonna select a Low Carb Dinner each evening and then plan backwards from there.
Meetcha back here in a few hours!

Today is day one, I weighed in at 179.0 this morning I am hoping to make it back to 169 quick, I felt much better at that weight.

Jade! I'm so glad you're here, too!
I hope Dad is OK?

You CAN do this!
We can ALL do it, together!

No nuts is tough for me too.

What kinds of salad dressings do you use?
Here are 2 that I really love:
Marie's Chunky Blue Cheese
Newman's Own Lighten-up Italian

Both state 0 Carbs on the back label. BUT as I learned from LisaB yesterday ~ since the Gov't caters to Food Mfgs ($) ~ we must be ever vigilant in reading labels & looking for "hidden carbs" which can easily add up to "not losing"!

SugarBane's Hidden Carb Calculator

Please Help w/ Hidden Carbs ??

So my 0 Carb Marie's Chunky Blue Cheese salad dressing actually has .75 carbs in 2 Tbsp! arrrgg

Just checking in for the day. Lots going on, son is graduating from high school, father lives next door and very very needy, craziness at work, but hey, life is always gonna get in the way if I let it! So here is my plan for today and my actual doings yesterday! Thanks for being here to keep me honest!

yesterday: L baked chicken and asparagus D more baked chicken and about 1 cup green salad with 0 carb dressing.

no excercise, no excuses, just didn't make it happen!

TODAY:
B 2 eggs (no bacon, it was very nasty tasting so I didn't eat it!)
L Large Salad with ham and eggs and 0 carb dressing
D Shrimp in butter and garlic and broccoli and cauliflower
S ricotta cheese with one splenda and almond extract
I WILL WALK 2 MILES TODAY BEFORE I LEAVE WORK!

HB, those recipes are great! I just gotta make time to get into the kitchen to whip them up!

Hi GBG! Looks like you have a great plan for today!
You're right, "Life is what happens while you're making other plans"!
(Erma Bombeck)

A couple of tips that save me time after time:
I buy 3 dozen eggs at a time!
1 dozen to keep hardboiled in fridge for snacks
1 dozen for cooking/baking
1 dozen for scrambled eggs/EC's

Some of Linda's Recipes are easily doubled & frozen!
quiches; meatloaves; turkey or tuna muffins; etc.
make a huge batch and keep' em in the freezer!

Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes - Recipes
* Indicates that a recipe is suitable for Induction

Oh and you better run that 0 carb dressing thru the hidden carb calculator:
SugarBane's Hidden Carb Calculator

And better check the Ricotta - not sure that's legal for Induction??
(cream cheese would be a better choice)

Atkins - Acceptable Foods

XO,
HB

hey ya'll

Just checkin in.....did great yesterday. The menu changed a bit.......had 3 double double's at In and Out......a little too much food. I didn't eat the lettuce on the last two...just the meat and cheese.

Dinner was chicken breast.....cut into bite sized pieces and cooked in olive oil. I ate them with salsa and some mashed up avocado. Pretty good if I do say so myself.

I need to get more veggies in.

I drank my gallon of water and then some and I am feeling good.
