I don't know about the other symptoms, but the "dizzy/spacey" feeling (for me), is when my potassium levels are low. Induction seems to flush the potassium, out of my body. The best way I have found, to get potassium in my body REALLY FAST, is salt-substitute. Salt substitute is pure potassium. You can get more potassium from a half-teaspoon of salt substitute, than any supplement...and it's cheaper, too.

I keep a special salt shaker, with salt substitute, and when I start feeling light-headed, I eat something and sprinkle salt substitute on it. I have also been known to pour a dime-sized portion in my hand, and swallow it with warm water. If you take it by itself, it tastes a little nasty...for just a few seconds. Follow it with a glass of water, and the taste goes away very fast. I can usually tell a difference, within 15-minutes.

Yup, Melle sounds right...I also would slice up a tomato and have a slice or two. Sometimes, if I get leg cramps, I also add in a potassium supplement, I think it is 99 mg.

Peace

I think I replied to you in the Induction thread too, but that sounds like it could be mitral-valve prolapse. A lot of women have it and don't even know. It is when the mitral valve in the heart doesn't make a complete seal and there is backflow of blood into the wrong chamber. Some times it causes lightheadedness and dizzy spells and chest pains. Some women don't notice any symptoms at all! It is related to female hormones, so symptoms are common during your cycle and when stressed out. Anyway, maybe go to the doc and ask about it. I hope you are feeling better soon!!

Good luck with your quit! I was crazy and decided to quit 1 month after starting LC I actually cried a few times that first week!! But it's been better since. This last month has really been the best month of my life in a loooong time. My thinking for giving up 2 vices at once was that I knew I would NOT eat off plan for any reason- even craving cigs. I am too committted to LCing right now to do that. I was afraid that if I waited until I got to goal to quit, I would be more likely to take a "risk" and eat off plan when I wanted a cig. Anyhow, it's crazy and won't work for many, but it's going okay for me.

Good luck and PM me when you decide to quit. I may be able to help

I was getting these same feelings and have been on induction, again, for one week. It seems though, as my body has been adjusting that it is geting better daily. For me, it is probably carb withdrawal!!!

I think it is called "Induction Flu"

I think the symptoms you all are describing are called "induction flu". I experienced that before and when I asked about it, that is what I was told. You might do a search on "induction flu" and see what you find. The threads I found really helped explain it very clearly...Good luck and I hope you feel better!
