I am starting today also. Just getting over the flu from this weekend though, Yuk!
![]() What a way to start - oh well, I guess the carb/caffine/alcohol withdrawals will just mesh with my crappy flu feelings. Here is my first day menu so far: B: cheese omlet (1 egg) L: spinach salad w/ oil & vinegar, tuna & mayo. I really had hoped to start exercising today, but I don't think I will get started for at least 2-3 days. Good Luck!! |

I started yesterday...I was kind of afraid to ask for a buddy because everyone seems like old pros at this low carb stuff. I'm hoping to drop 30 lbs!!! I know I eat way too many carbs, and my love for good beer and chicken wings has not helped...

I just finished induction - well, one week ago actually. I lost 5 lbs and now I'm stalled! I haven't lost anything this past week (I guess it's better than gaining)... I think the white wine I had last weekend and this weekend were to blame! Anyway, I think I'm going to re-start induction and hang in there longer to see if I get closer to my goal.
It does help I think to have someone to keep you motivated & on track.... You can email me if you'd like at m_rausch5@hotmail.com (that's an _ between the m & r!) Melissa Last edited by janesworld : 05-05-2008 at 11:32 AM. |

Hi
I'm starting today and I need buddies as well! What have you had so far today? It has been busy at work so I've only had one chicken breast for lunch so far. I think dinner will only be salad and tuna. I am also going for a walk tonight after dinner. The last time I did Atkins I dropped 30 lbs with no exercise, so this time I want to firm up also.

I just choked down 1/2 a hardboiled egg...bleck!!!
Breakfast - 2 scrambled eggs and 2 pieces of turkey bacon Lunch - Tuna Snack - above hardboiled egg Dinner - a few pieces of roast pork loin and some greens and the BEST dressing ever - if you can get your hands on Ken's Steakhouse Lite Northern Italian dressing, I highly recommend it. 2 TBSP = 50 cals/45 which are fat, 2 carbs, and tasty tasty! I only need 1 TBSP for 1 cup of lettuce and it tastes fantastic. I'm having a hard time with water... |

ok ladies not sure if this will stall you and so far so good for me but if I want something to drink alcohol wise i drink jack on the rocks there are no carbs and no sugar but mind you I use alot alot of ice in there so its decent if you sometimes like to party... but sometimes alcohol can stall but the first thing the body does is burn alcohol first then fat so its just a slight stall and then its out of your system
just fyi from a gal that likes to party every now and againTrish Good luck!

Hi everyone
I also restarted induction on the 5th and have had a great 2 days so far. My appetite is gone gone gone and I'm feeling great! I've also lost 3.5 pounds in the last 2 days although I realize that this is water and that the real fat loss will only start in a few days. I have a creme egg shake in the morning for breakfast : 2 eggs, whey protein powder, 1 cup black coffee, dash of cinnamon - keeps me full and tastes delish! For lunch I usually have chicken and cheese. Supper is beef sausage and some veg/salad. Loads of water. Loads of weight training and cardio. And absolutely no alcohol. It WILL stall you, trust me. Come one, induction is only 2 weeks ... you can do it!! Loads of luck to you all xxx |

Hello everyone! I just started induction today. Hopefully I can stay on track with this. I did Atkins about 5 years ago and lost 30 lbs in 2 months. But now I gained half of it back. =(. I am hoping to lose 30 lbs. to be at my ideal weight. Here's what I've had so far.
B: 1 bacon, 1 scrambled egg, and salad with 1 tbsp of lite caesar dressing L: tuna with 1 tbsp of mayo, and pork rinds ( i know..it's junk! alright..no more pork rinds after that ) For later... S: hard boiled egg D: Caesar salad with chicken breast strips So far I've had 3 bottled water. I plan to drink 3 more. Good luck to all of us! Last edited by cutesyfootsy : 05-06-2008 at 10:52 AM. |

Went for a walk
I haven't felt like going for a walk in ages. I actually enjoyed it. I hope to start an exercise program but just haven't had the energy until now. Is anyone else having a problem sleeping? I toss all night.
My blood sugar was only 95 tonight after dinner and still haven't needed my diabetic meds. Breakfast: 2 sausage patties and 1 boiled egg Lunch: 1/4 rotisserie chicken and brocolli, sugar free jello and tea (I love the new ziplock steam bags for veges) Dinner: stuffed mushrooms (stuffed with sausage, cheese, onion, garlic) talapia (cooked in butter and seasoned real spicy) Dessert: I made the oopsie rolls and ate a half of one (I put splenda and cinnamon on it before I cooked it - tasted really good) I am going to be floored if I lost anything. This just seems like so much food to me and so different from any weight loss program I have ever been on. I'll let ya'll know. Jill

Hi everyone
Day 3 of Induction and gowing strong! Sooooo good to be back on Atkins, I love the way it makes me feel! Had a one-hour weights session with my trainer this morning, and tonight I'm going for a 40 minute run with a friend. Breakfast : beef sausage and mayonnaise Snack : beef sausage Lunch : Grilled chicken breast (skin on) with cheese and mayonnaise Snack : coffee with cream and sweetener Dinner : egg creme shake (2 raw eggs, protein powder, coffee) I've lost 3.5 pounds in the last 3 days. I'll join your 30-pounds-to-lose gang! So that leaves 26.5 pounds to go. I do realize that my weight loss will slow down as I go along, but I really really hope I can keep it up by sticking to the plan. |

Ladies...I say we keep this thread going. Seeing so many people working to lose the pounds helps me each morning.
AND I CAN'T SLEEP FOR CRAP! I tossed and turned...and because I am drinking so much water, even if I do fall asleep, I wake up 15 mins later because I have to pee. ![]() |

Started induction on 4/28/08
Good Morning Ladies,
I was reading the posts when I realized I should join in also. It seems to help keep motivated. I started on 4/28/08 and I have lost 10lbs. It seems I have stalled these past couple of days but I am going to keep going without fail and hopefully I can continue to lose this weight. I started at 178 and now at 168. I feel great. My goal is 135. I live in El Paso, Tx and our menus include lots of carbs so it has been tough. But we can all get through this. ![]() |
