I know I read this before on another post and thought, "Yeah RIGHT!" but I just got my period and the only reason I even saw it coming was because of the CALENDER.
NO PMS. No craving. No crying. No complaining. Well, I cried on Sunday because I missed my Mom but I think that would have happened period or no. Just an FYI on yet another bonus of Atkins!

i've noticed, the more you up the fat (65%) and keep the protein lower(35-50%),the weight melts off!!!! So motivating! Lovin it! if anyone experiences stalls, try uping the fat. fitday is awesome for recording percentages!

Ugh I have been rocking the ketone breath...keeping Listerine strips close by.

Breakfast - two scrambled eggs, two pieces of tukey bacon
Coffee w/1 Equal
Lunch - probably a burger w/no bun or tuna
Dinner - Chicken breast on the grill w/salad and Ken's!

Aww baby nephew and soon a Kari baby!

I am hella nauseous today. I'm forcing this tuna down my throat. Going to get my nails did!!! :-D

As for next week, I am taking a last minute trip to Wilmington, NC to see my Mom (ever been? GORGEOUS) She is a big fan of huge pasta dishes, skim milk, etc. - she has been doing Weight Watchers since 1990 (though extremely slender and equally as gorgeous as NC) so I will be sticking to stuff off the grill and TONS of veggies, I am sure. She has a fab wine selection so I MUST limit myself.

What does everyone recommend adding in for Week 3? I'm kind of at a loss...

Hi KariKay and everybody,

Congrats on your new nephew!

First things I will add are wine/other alcohol and sliced almonds on my salad. I broke down yesterday when visiting a friend's new cool restaurant, and had two glasses of wine, which led me to eat more than I should have. Including those sliced almonds. Of course, this morning my weight was up 0.8 pounds since Monday. Well, what can I expect?

hey ladies. hope you all had a good weekend. looks like the weight is flying off.
i have still been following the diet so far as the acceptable foods go. but, i have been feeling so puny and queasy that i haven't been eating much. so, i know that is going to stall me. plus, i am having a fibro flare and am hurting all over. blah. my DD kindergarten graduation is tomorrow and i am just hurting SO bad. which, figures, bc she is having an awards ceremony, the grad ceremony, then a day out on the playgroud with those big inflatable slides and what not. it is gong to be torture tomorrow. sorry to be such a whine bag, but, BLAH! lol
But, at least TOM has left me! lol

Hi there. How is everything going? I have lost 1.4 pounds since last Monday. I was hoping for more. But I guess that's OK with me, since I don't have a lot to lose. I have done better with caffeine. Almost off. I have to day I have been totally cranky with the kids and husband. It's hard to cut down alcohol, caffeine, carbs, calories, and still be happy.

Anybody else has goals for the new week?

Hey everyone! Hillary Clinton is speaking at my work (college) in a few hours! Not that I agree 100% but it is still a really cool thing to see.

How was the weekend? I really had a hard time yesterday. I think when the groceries run low it gets really hard to focus. I feel like I don't have enough choices. Anyway...I went to the store and now I feel back on track. Made some of the cauliflower pizza and it was pretty good. Good luck this week ladies! We can do it!

B- Tried to eat eggs, but was really queasy...
L- Cauliflower Pizza, Salad with Ranch, LC Cheesecake
S- a few peanuts and SF jello
D- cheesy hotdogs with 1 carb ketchup, salad.

GOOD LUCK!!!

I'm also having hard staying totally happy with my food choices. It's especially hard when cooking for the family, and giving the kids snacks. I think I have to cut myself some lack soon, or I'll break down. Wish I had more time to cook something good by a recipe instead of whipping up the same old every night. Maybe soon...

Cauliflower pizza sounds good!

I think everyone is getting sick coz of this crazy weather. Anyhow, I'm down to 136 this morning. So happy to see the scale move after my falling of the wagon incident. I've stuck with it for a straight week. Hopefully I will be as determined next week and the following weeks. Still sick, coughing like crazy.

JenJen, i'm with you on the fruits. I miss it, too! I've been having a strawberry every now and then (lol sneaking it in). I still lost weight though. It doesn't have a lot of carbs according to Fitday.

lol. everybody is goin MIA, eh. lol

well, i keep gaining and losing the same 5 pounds. grr. i am following to a T on what i am allowed to eat. however, my appetite is so pitiful that I can't make myself eat. I have never had a big appetite, it is just that when i DO finally get hungry I eat ALLLLL the wrong things. or, well, i used to b4 starting Atkins. i don't think i am eating enough to lose weight. which, makes little to no sense at all. haha. but, i know it to be true.

Yesterday

Breakfast-nothing
Lunch-nothing ... lol
Dinner-a chicken breast wrapped in bacon and green beans.

did better today

breakfast-nothing
lunch-chicken breast, plain
green beans
Supper-2 hamburger patties

I know, not enough veggies, not enough food...i know i know. lol
I am goin to start making myself eat...blah

Hope everybody survives memorial day weekend without any cheats! yay

it looks like i'm not the only one that's been MIA the past week. i went on two trips, one for a wedding - and only cheated on alcohol! and one for work during the week, where i fell off the wagon fairly hard and had two beers on different days, tortilla chips and wings/ribs that i'm sure had sugar in the sauce. i didn't have any bread tho! anyway, i put a pound back on but i went back on induction on Thursday and am back down to pre-cheat weight.

i haven't been feeling very well though, with lots of nauseousness (sp?) i think i've been eating too much red meat and not enough veggies or something. i'm not sure, but i just had a LC avocado shake and its not making me feel good either.

here's todays menu so far:
b: leftover steak w/guac
s: colby cheese stick
l: avocado shake and some brie
s: 1 cup broccoli/cauliflower
d: ?

yesterday (did not feel good) -
b: 3 pieces bacon (meant to have eggs, but was late for appt)
l: 2 hot dogs w/ must, mayo, 1 carb ketchup (i think these were the culprit)
d: steak and sauteed mushrooms

good news tho, i've lost 6 lbs since starting on 5/9. i think thats decent considering i was off induction for a week.

how is everyone else doing?
