Hi Ladies!!
Day 3 and going strong. My office just had mint chocolate ice cream cake for a co-worker, and I left and ate pepperoni instead! Yay me. I actually had the best nights sleep last night. It might have been the allergy meds knocking me out, but I didn't have to pee until 5am! B- 1 egg and bacon L- Chef's Salad with Ranch/ LC Cheesecake (i made last night S- Pepperoni in the microwave and an OOPSIE D- Salad and Pork Chops Lots of water. I have not yet been able to give up Diet Coke and Crystal Lite. I just feel like I have to have something and it doesnt seem to make me more hungry...I will tackle that later. I am trying to lose weight before we start trying for a baby ![]() |

lol spider lilly
oh i can only imagine the peanuts were better than the donut. trust me, i was not trying to be judgemental. i don;t even start until Monday. I haven't come toe to toe with the cravings yet b/c right now i am piggin out on carbs in anticipation of not having them anymore. haha. i have been stalking the forums and learning as much as i possibly can.
i just saw that post about the menu and noticed the peanuts, and, with all the stalking I have been doin I have read where many many reach 'stalls' b/c of the TINIEST of slip ups. so, i just wanted to point it out to you. But, looks like you are doing well. I will be joining you all on Monday and wish you all the best of luck. Hopefully we will be in bikinis by August. haha ![]() |

Up a pound today
Well, I was up a lb. today but I got home really late last night and didn't eat until around 11:00pm so I wonder if that had anything to do with it. I usually eat around 7:00pm
I also ate sausage link (not the breakfast kind). The package says "0" carbs but maybe too salty. Has anyone else had problems eating sausage links. Sounds like everyone is doing really good. My blood sugars are still under 100 so that is the best part for me. No pills since Saturday!! Jill |

Just started too
Hi everyone! I just found your thread and have just started Induction today. I haven't even gotten the DANDR book yet, but I've read a bunch of stuff online. I just made a shopping list and am going out to get my low carb goodies. I'm already a little hungry as I last ate around 12:45, but I think I'll manage. I'm looking to lose 30 lbs too before I go on my trip to Spain this summer. I need to be swimsuit ready! It seems like you guys are already doing great, but keep up the good work! Its nice to have ppl to chat with about progress, foods and feelings. I can't wait to start losing!

Doing cardio 2 - 3x a week, walking the dog one mile each day...crunches, weights...no where near as good as you have been doing.

I noticed you all really don't eat very much. Are you losing weight because you're getting so few calories?
I'm starting Atkins also, and thought that you can eat a lot of calories if you just keep the carbs down. I feel like eating all the time, probably also because I'm at home all day and feeding my kids. I was planning on snacking on bacon or tuna with mayo today! |

Good luck for those of you starting today - it really is incredible how different you feel, even after one week. The President of my company said today I looked "radiant" (keep in mind, it is 50 degrees, pouring, and dark in Philadelphia and I am in soaked jeans and flip flops, so this really might be working!!!).
Openair, I have been keeping track of my food on Fitday, and I AM eating very low cals along with low carbs, but I really am NOT hungry. When I do get a hunger pang or growl, and it is in between meals, I have a hardboiled egg or another low-carb snack or veggies. Actually, it is a little odd to experience *real* hunger pangs, as opposed to just eating out of habit or because food is there. Also, I seriously cut the amount of alcohol I imbibe, which I know has made a significant difference - someone on another post mentioned being an alcoholic-carboholic - which is you just EAT once you start drinking...it would be nothing for me to have a few margaritas and then go eat an entire bag of Baked Tostitos...which I thought was fine because, hey, they were baked, not fried! |

Hey!
Glad to hear there are more people joining our thread! An oopsie is a recipe that a fellow LCF came up with. It is kind of like bread ,but you make it with eggs and cream cheese. You can use it for buns (put a fast food burger on it) french toast, breach, and all sorts of other things. Here is the link. It is listed on the right side under breads. They are AMAZING!!! Follow the picture tutorial to a tee. The Lighter Side of Low-Carb: The Sailor Scouts make my Revol-oopsie rolls! I actually eat a lot on this diet but never feel hungry. Last night I made her recipe for mozzarella sticks. YUM! You crush up pork rinds and roll the string cheese in an egg and fry it. SOOOOO Good. Good luck ladies. Have a productive weekend! ![]() |

day 1 so far
this, i am sure is a pretty goofy sounding way to start. but, did so out of convenince matters so far today.
b-can of diet rite and a handfull of pork rinds (haha, told you it was convenience) L-center cut pork loin abotu the side of my hand, 1/2 inch thick (made it on the George Foreman grill and basted with real butter and seasoned with pepper) 1/2 cup cucumber, 1 and a 1/2 hard boiled egg. OMG i am wayyyyyyy too full right now. lol. been a while since i have eaten like this. Guzzling the water too. We are having a BBQ tonight. Ribs without bbq sauce, hard boiled eggs, cheese cubes and sometime tonight i might try making some oopsies. *********************************** start 5/9/08 234/234/145-150 |
