Italian Sausage Soup Recipe - the one with cream

Hope someone can help me.

I was reading on one of the threads someone posted a recipe for italian sausage soup. I recall it had 2 cloves of garlic, cream and chicken broth. I don't remember the rest of the ingredients.

I've searched and found one but it wasn't the same.

Does anyone recall this recipe or where I can find it?

Thanks for your help.

Lisa

I make mine with a small container of heavy cream, 1 10 oz package of frozen spinach, chopped, 1/2 of a onion, 1 lb of Italian sausage, a whole package of mushrooms and about 1 1/2 quarts of chicken broth. Funny you should mention this because this was on my list of what to cook this weekend.

My dad is a butcher/meat processor so he makes it but you can use any kind of spicy sausage in links or in bulk at most stores.

BLUELIPS- I believe it yours, I don't like mushrooms so I would put those in, but I would love to try it. Would you please post it so I can print it and make it tonight? It sounds very yummy and simple, and I believe it sounds a lot like the yummy one at Olive Garden.(they put potatoe and peppers in)

Thanks everyone for trying to find it!

Lisa

I really don't have a set recipe but I will try to type it up here.

Take about 1 lb of any kind of sausage..I use Italian and brown it up. Once browned add 1 1/2 quarts of chicken broth, 1/2 of a chopped onion, omit the mushrooms if you don't like them...no biggie. Add the heavy cream and 1 packet of cream cheese (that is what I forgot when I first posted), the frozen spinach and I think that is about it. Heat the soup up to the point of a good medium heat enough to melt the cream cheese. I usually only cook it for about a half hour. I have never had this soup at Olive Garden but a friend that tried it at my house said it taste just like it. This is my absolute favorite soup. I even got the picky neighbor kids to try it and they loved it. Good luck!
