2 Months down on induction
hi..just wanted to let you guys know I have been on induction for 2 months now and have lost 53 lbs since Feb 9th. I know I could not have done it without all the advice, tips and support that one can find on this site.
If I could offer a couple of pieces of advice, it would be to drink your water and just remember to do it for yourself and don't worry what others think. Have a good day! Jim |

Wow!!! That's incredible, you have to be so proud of yourself, I can only hope to lose that in 6 months. How the heck did you do it? Any other hints besides the water?
Congrats Jim |

Congrats!! You are my hero
![]() I noticed that you don't eat many veggies-- mostly meat and fat. Do you think that had something to do with it?? That kind of diet would be extremely low in carbs. I'm willing to do what it takes, since I also have a lot to lose. Any other tips, suggestions would be great!! Congrats again and thanks for the menu. |

I definitley think lowering your carbs helps. I eat mostly zero carb (with the exception of eggs) and it has worked great. Dr. Atkins even had the fat fast for people that were resistant to weight loss and had trouble losing. It involved upping your fat, lowering calories, and having almost no carbs. I am sure if you do a search, you can find out more info on it. |

I am definitely going to experiment with lower carbs this week. I don't think this is the same as the Fat Fast though-- that diet is very restrictive with very few foods offered. I think what Jim and Sydney are suggesting is just 0 or near 0 carbs, right?
I am going to try your suggestions. I'll let you know how it works. Thanks guys. |

Thanks for everyone's comments and encouragement. Talking about carbs...I mainly eat less than about 10 carbs a day, except for about twice a week I eat 20 carbs. My next goal is to be down 75 total pounds by May 19th which is my B-Day. But anyway, good luck to all of you.
