Holy crap! I just put all my info for the day into fitday and it says 2188 calories! Only13 carbs though. The first time I did Atkins I never even thought about calories but I thought maybe that's why I lost so slowly so tomorrow I will try to eat more veggies and less fat. So hungry today don't know why That glass of red wine sounds so yummy! I will resist though....Maybe

Vixxs--When we moved we got a big deli tray of meats and cheeses and a vegetable tray and some romaine lettuce leaves for sandwich wraps. We bought bread for those who were helping. You could also maybe get one of those rotisserie chickens from the store for dinner. Hope those suggestions are helpful. Moving is so stressful...Good luck!

Ladies have a good evening and a great weekend it is supposed to be 60 and sunny here tomorrow I am so excited. It has been cold and gloomy way too long.

Good evening everyone.
Not sure how to go about this, but I wanted everyone on this thread to know about the shiritaki pizza crust that was posted by CarolynF on the thread called "Shiritaki pizza crust" I finally got a chance this evening to try this recipe and it is fantastic. Much lower carb count than the crusts made with the cauliflower, zucchini, spinach, etc. I did respond back to that thread saying how much I loved the recipe. I used 1 package of the noodles with the 1 egg, herbs, and 1 cup of shredded mozzarella. It really turned out great. I made it really thin, but still could hold it in my hands (when it cooled a little) I didn't know how to bring it to current postings. I quess called" bumping." Thought some of you might also be interested in this crust.

Hi Judy! Thanks for the heads up on that! I think I did read Carolyns thread on that, but I couldn't quite picture how that would be made. I'll take another look at that. If it's lower than the cauli and broccoli, then I'll take it!!!

Thanks again Judy!

Hello Chris!

I never counted calories, as long as I ate how much I was supposed to eat and that at least 15 to 20 percent of carbs were from veggies. But this is for DANDR. I don't know about A72, but I know your supposed to get some veggies in there.

The platter is a good idea!! I never thought about that!

Have a great weekend too! If you get a chance, pop in tomorrow!!!

Hi Christina! I cannot believe that your head is still hurting and you still managed to get some exercise on the treadmill! What a trooper you are!!!

I hope you start feeling better soon! It's been too long for you to be in pain like that.

I have a can of crab meat, I oughta eat it soon. Sounds good! For lunch I had a loose meat sandwich for lunch. I had that leftover ground beef and made a sandwich with the rev roll. I wish I would have remembered to add protein poweder to my eggs, they are so flimsy!

Great job Jaimie!

J.A., that shiritake pizza crust sounds really interesting. I'll have to look up the thread. Thanks for sharing.

Diana~I made some RRs with protein powder last week and liked them. They are much more sturdy.

Christina~sorry you're still suffering from that nasty headache. I read about your docs visit; not very nice after all you've accomplished.

Chris~how long have you been on Induction? If you are just starting, I wouldn't worry about your calories for the first few weeks. Just concentrate on your carbs, and the rest will fall into place. Losing slowly is alright; you may be losing inches faster than pounds, which is very common with low carb.

Ladies, I just can't do Induction because of some physical problems that I'm having, so I'll have to bow out for now. Much luck to all of you with your weight loss.

As for me..I had a 3lb WHOOSH last night!! I am down to 138.5 from 141.5!! I ate mostly Meat and eggs and I am going by the same plan today but I am fixing LC Barbecue Ribs with LC coleslaw for supper tonight. I am going to walk 2 more miles on my treadmill to after while. I know I can pick it up the speed..I use to do 4 miles a day 5 days a week before my surgery. I am going to do the 2 miles today on a 4 incline...maybe more will come off..we will see..I go up and down on the scale like that..and I bet this is water weight..so we might see another up tommorow. L-Crab Salad with 1/2 TBS of Mayo..one boiled egg...and 1/2 tsp of mustard
S-4 to 6 oz of BBQ ribs with 1/4 cup of LC slaw and 1/4 cup of Broccoli

It a terrible day here SW VA Temp around 54 and it suppose to get 1 to 2 inches ran..gosh we need it but I want to get our onions in the garden soon!!

Well..back to check my ribs..anyone that wants the recipe holler!!

Hi Ladies!

Yard sale is officially closed!! whew!!
Oh we cleared about $140-something. Not too bad for what we had.

Our first victim came and said, "how much for this?", "I'll take!", How much for this and this?", I'll take it!"
He was like that we our stuff, it was funny!

My sister sold a beautiful Scandinavian desk from the 50's or 60's to that guy for only $40. He knew he got a steal!!

My eating was good, not great, but good!

B- 2 lc cheesecake w/crust muffin, 1 rev rolls 2 fried eggs 3 slices nitrate free bacon.
L- hamburger pattie wrapped in lettuce with tomato and onion, w/ mayo.
S- lemon cheesecake slice
Water, about 3 cups of coffee

I'm pooped! Been up since 3am and now I'm spent!!!

I'll pop in later to see how you all are doing!!

hi! I have been stalking this forum for about two months and am finally armed with enough information from this site and the book that I am ready to kick some carb booty!! The support and information that I have seen on this site is so encouraging. I have decided that the 4 letter "D" word (diet) will not pass my lips this time. I am embarking on a life and health changing journey, not a quick fix! I am 40 years old and have aprox 50 lbs to loose and have been on strict induction for 6 days and I feel amazing and have lost 6 lbs.. Is that possible??? I feel ten years younger and as my fiance says "a new strut in my step" lol. I think this site is a Blessing, a place to hold ourselves accountable and to give support...everyone needs a cheering section. Just wanted to say hello and thank you!

Happy Sunday ladies! This is the end of my first week on induction. I weighed myself this morning and I lost 3 pounds. I was a pound less yesterday but I know the scale will fluctuate plus TOM is coming this week. So overall, I am happy. I did stay on plan all week with only one day with a slip. I went out with a friend and had some drinks. Diet coke and rum..so at least they had no carbs. So hopefully I can stick with it this week. I want to lose 10 lbs. by Summer and maybe another 10 by Christmas. I just really want my summer clothes to fit better. So now I am at 138. (My stats were wrong before I actually started at 141 last Sunday) I don't want to change my stats yet, want to make sure this loss lasts.

Diana - congrats on the sale! I love garage sales you get rid of a bunch of stuff and make some cash too. Plus it is fun meeting all the people. I am hoping to have one in May our subdivision ususally has one big one.

Christina- Yeah for you! I knew you were due for a loss you've been working so hard at it. Hey, we are having ribs tonight too. have to cook on the grill it is going to be nice out.

Hi Chris! Good for you on the 3 lbs! That's so great! I think that is a good amount of lbs a week, I mean in the end it all adds up.
Keep doing whatever your're doing and you will see you goal met!

I would like to get into onederland, like really soon! I'm almost there but I keep sabatoging myself! I don't know why I do that, but I do!

So starting Monday, I'm getting with it, I need to, I must!!! I'm stuck at 205, but I am determined to get out of that and get in the 100's soon!!!

You're doing fantastic, keep it up!!!

Have a great day too!!!

Its Rainy and cold here today in SW VA. I have been extremely tired the past 2 days and I dont know if the way I have been eating or not. I am still getting in about 80 oz of water a day along. Also..please remember..it took you a long time to put the weight on and it will take a long time to take it off..Slow and Steady win the race!

How was your LC Apricot crumb cake Diana?

Welcome blessedtamekia We do all have to restart sometimes.

Well...I am going to go for now. Have a Blessed Day everyone!

HUGS

Yep that's right Christina! I need to lose slow and hopefully steady!!!

My crumb cake was pretty good, but not great. I don't know what I did different but it wasn't the same as when I first made it! I think I needed to bake it longer, since I had 3 of them at once in the oven.

Well, off to shower and go to the store.

I'll talk to you Wonderful Ladies soon!!!!

Love Ya's!!!

Hope you can offer some advice!!!! Today woke up so shaky and lite headed and even after eating breakfast feel awful! So shaky could not even take the dog for a walk... up until this point have felt amazing! I have lost and am having trouble remembering to eat and I think I am getting around 18 to 20 carbs daily. Is this that flu that everyone complains about..Would adding another shake help or stall? I know this rapid rate can't healthily last forever but it has been great for my morale! Today I am finally in the deepest part of ketosis and I nearly got up and did a jig haha

Hi Lin,
Yes, that is what is called induction flu! I believe Aktins said when you feel like that to add more salt in your diet. If you have the book, you can find that in there.

Also, you may need to eat a little bit more too. I know our hunger starts to diminish some, but I would eat a little something when you feel that way.

If anyone else has anything else to contribute to this, bring it on!! I could use the info too!

Yeah, on the jig!!!! Whoohoo!!!!!

Keep up the good work!!!

Yes..that is how I feel with Atkins Flu..Eat Protein!! It really helps me and I hope it does you too! Add your menus so we can look at them to help you out...If you can get rid of Atkins Shakes that will help also...I started out 50 lbs more than you did and I am down to 139 today. I also splurge on some kind of LC treat about 2 times a week. You can make some that are induction friendly..I make a LC Cheesecake..which I just at a slice of with my crab salad right now..Only got around 3 carbs a slice and very nice for induction.

Well..Brandon is asleep and I am going to go get my 2 mile walk in.
Catch you all later!
