Hi!

I made a taco salad for dinner too Christina. I really didn't feel hungry for dinner. I think because for breakfast I had the eggs and dried chicken patties. That must have kept me full, oh and plus the nuts and slices of hard salami.

Oh I just saw a commercial for Wendy's Spicy Baconator!! Yummy, with spicy cheese and jalapenos! I'm getting it!
I just made hamburger patties, maybe I'll make my own. I'm making rev rolls right now. Oh, I never thought I'd be lovin them! But I do!!!

So tomorrow is my short day at work. I get off at 12 noon. My usual routine is go to the grocery store then home and kick back. But I'm skipping the store and going to get all my things ready of the yard sale I'm having on Saturday.

How's everyone doing tonight?

Another thing, i could not get those ketone stick for now and how do we know if we are in ketosis stage.

Hi Pmartin!! You bet you can join us!!
Good for you on starting Atkins induction! Hoping your weigh in will be a great one!!
Your menu looks good. I know, sometimes it's hard to get the vegetables in, but I've really missed them when I did the Stillmans Quick Weight loss program. It was pretty much all protein.

Feel free to post here anytime and hang out with all of us here!! Great bunch of Ladies here!! Love them!!!

Hi Samantha!
I'm so glad to see you're still posting! I wish I was up when you're on here so I can chat with ya. Weekends are pretty good for me, so hopefully I'll catch you on here.

Yes, I did have the same thing with my stools. That, along with the way you were feeling before is all part of the induction phase. It's just our body is getting rid of the sugars/carbs and I believe it affects our bm. So nothing to worry about.
I noticed that when I got out of induction and started adding the allowable foods, that my stools became more normal and a really good size too. What I mean is, I'm glad they were a good size. More better on my scale!!

You are doing really great!! Keep it up!!!

Good Morning Beautiful Ladies!!

TGIF---Yeah!!!!! Whoohoo!!

How did everyone do this week so far! I can say I did pretty good, except for the two days I had some mixed nuts and the extra coffee. Other than that, I have been doing good on induction.

I plan on keeping this up throughout the weekend as well. No parties going on Saturday, only a yard sale.

So for my menu I'm having:

B-Coffee w/a little cream, splenda mocha packet, sf davinci syrup, egg sandwich on a rev roll
L- hamburger on a rev roll
D- either a taco salad or hamburger on a salad
about 80oz of water

I hope everyone has a great day today!! And let's try to stay on plan. If anyone is having a temptation and they don't want to give in, please let us know and we'll talk you out of it!!

Let's get this weight off once and for all Ladies!! We can do it and we will do it!!! Whoohoo!!!!!!

Got out from my shower and decide to get on the scale.

5 days ago I started at 80.4kg or approximately 176lbs
Currently the scale is showing 78.5kg / 172.7lbs

That is for sure just water weight but seeing the scale moving is very motivating as i have yet to really incorporate any exercise.

Thank you to Diana for starting this thread and giving me source to pour out my woes. This WOE rocks !!

Samantha

Happy Fat Burnin Friday Ladies!!

Here is something I want to share:

Ecclesiastes 3:1
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.

There are times in our lives when a diet may be easier than at other times. In times of stress or tragedy, it may be impossible for us to lose weight. Diets take concentration and commitment. Things may come up to cause us to fall away from our diets, but we need to get started again as soon as possible. Just because we fail once doesn't mean we will fail every time. Pray for God's help and guidance. He will be faithful to help us through the tough times and the times we fail. God will make our way easier through His companionship and comfort.
Today's thought: There is no better time to diet than right now!

Good morning Ladies!!
Welcome to everyone new and Great Going Samantha:clap

I am still not feeling good. My head is still hurting this AM and the scales didnt show no change I tried Fat Fast yesterday without success and I think I am just going to go back to induction for a few more days and then might restart Stillmans 14 day or Fat Fast next week. I might be drinking too much water..I know that you are suppose to drink 1/2 your weight and I drink more than I weigh right now. I saw something that came on the news last night that they say that now they are saying dont drink unless you are thirsty that your body produces enough water to keep you going. I dont know..maybe my body is trying to tell me this is my ideal weight. I have cut out all SA and no cheese for almost 10 days now with no success.I cut out all cream cheese starting yesterday. I am going to sit down and think this weekend on how to start this over again to make it work for me. This weekend we are doing nothing special just got to put a new commode in We are suppose to get Heavy rain today and tommorow so I am going to cook a pork roast I got on sale and make some LC pork Barbecue and LC Slaw to eat on my Rev Rolls this weekend(The Cottage Cheese ones).

Does anyone know where I can get a old version of the A75 book?

Ok..back to induction menu for Friday, Sat and Sun
Weight 141.5
B- 2 hamburger patties and 2 eggs (3 Carbs)
L- ?? Dont know yet..give me some ideas will ya!! LOL Maybe Crab with 2 TBS Mayonnaise mixed in for Crab Salad on Rev Roll (5 Carbs)
D- Pork Barbecue on Rev Roll with LC Slaw and Small Salad with No dressing or either another Taco Salad (around 12 Carbs for Barbecue combo or either about 7 for Taco Salad)
S- Maybe a really small slice of my LC Cheesecake (2 or 3 carbs)

If I have time my arm is still really hurting but I want to walk at least 30 min on my treadmill today when Brandon takes a nap this afternoon. If I restart that then maybe I will start losing again.

Jaimie..TY for that..I really need that today.

HUGS Everyone!
Christina

Hi Jaimie, Hi Christina!

I agree Jaimie, that is a good encouraging word!! Thank you for that!!!

I know I've had times where I just felt like chucking it all in and say, "that's it!", "that's all I've got in me, I can't lose anymore!" But then I look at all the progress I've made and feel that I can keep going, no matter how long it takes me to lose, I need to continue on!

So I do! And this has been the longest time I have ever stuck to this way of eating! I usually last 6 months and then give up. Not this time!
I'm in it for the long haul!!!

Christina, I'm sorry you're still not feeling well. I wish this headache and arm pain would go away!
Maybe you're right! Maybe you are at your ideal weight. How tall are you?
I know that is a good weight for alot of women. You don't have to get skinny, just be at a healthy weight for you. Your Dr should know what that is.
I'm praying for a good day for you today!!

I made rev rolls last night and I forgot to put protein powder in it! They turned out good, but I like that little bit of sturdiness the powder give them.

Just had me a hambuger/fried egg sandwich! Boy do I love those! Thank you Paula Deen!!!

Well, my day is going to be busy, but I will be here no matter what!!!

HI TO EVERYONE ELSE!!!! AND I HOPE TO TALK TO YOU ALL!

LET'S GIVE THIS DAY OUR BEST SHOT AND TRY HARD TO STAY ON PLAN!!! ONE DAY AT A TIME!!

Hi Diana
You was asking how tall I am 5'4" tall...remember..my doctor gave me H.. about putting on those other 10 lbs when I went to back her last week? She wants me at my IDEAL weight of 125 to 130..after me losing over 100 lbs! My BMI is still in the normal range so I dont know what her problem is!! I have been on LC for over 2 years now so I dont see what her problem is..I feel my best and look my best LCing and I will do it for the rest of my life.

As for the Hamburger and Egg Sandwich..yep..I had the Hamburger and Eggs(2) for my breakfast will a little hot sauce..YUMM!! At least my nausea is gone now!

I know Fridays are busy for you. We will catch you sometime today!
HUGS everyone!

Christina, I don't know why drs talk to patients like that! No credit given to you whatsoever for all you've accomplished! Grrr!!

If you feel comfortable at that weight and your blood work shows you are healthy, then that's all that matters!

I do have some things to do but, I'll be around until after 12 noon, then I've got things to do at my house.

Boy lately, I've been getting warm flashes, not hot, just warm. I have the window open near me and right now I feel like I'm blushing with that warmth that goes with that.
I'm sure it's the perimenopause. I haven't had TOM for about 2 or 3 months, hmm!
Anyone else have that experience?

I could write a book about it. Many missed periods in a row, hot flashes, night sweats, restless sleeping, mood swings, etc... I'm on BCPs now, 90 days on, 7 off, and they have done wonders for me.

Hi Ladies thanks so much for the warm welcome.

Seb- thanks for you sympanthy it has been 2 years now since she passed so I can deal with it now. So sorry about your loss of your Dad that is still fresh for you.

Samantha -awesome loss Good for You!

Jamie- Thanks for the inspiration.

Diana & Christina thanks for starting this thread I so enjoy reading all the posts. They make me feel like I am not alone in this struggle.

Diana- You are so determined...and such a great cheerleader thanks for that!

Christina don't give up hope it took me six months to lose 25 back in 99. Some months I only lost a pound or I even gained one month. I wrote everything down. It has been helpful for me to look back at that because I remember it being so easy but I am sure I was stressed the first time around I just don't remember it. So I am just going to relax this time enjoy what I can eat and don't be so obsessed about it. You have made a huge accomplishment already by losing 100 lbs and you kept most of that off after a life threatening surgery. You really should be quite proud of yourself and you can tell that Dr. she should be proud too.

HI Chrislukey
Thank you so much for your words of Encouragement. I really need them right now. I almost died last year from just a basic Gallbladder lazor surgery..it took them over 2 weeks and some of my organs shutting down before they sent me somewhere else to help me! That is when I lost the last 12 to 15 lbs in 3 weeks...I am not giving up...I have been at this weight for about 2 months now and like you 1 or 2 lbs up or down a month at a time. I got alot of it off the last time with walking on my treadmill 45 to 1 hour 5 times a week. Right now, I am still even after everything was over and done with..taking the stunt out of my bile duct in January...I am still not back up to speed where I should be..who knows what damage that Bile leakage for so long done to me!

My doctor is not very symbiotic either! When I went to her last week for a virus and sinus infection she really gave me H up and down because I had put that 10 lbs back on! She said I should not have done that even thou I about died from what happened to me! My bloodwork in Jan was great..everything was..better than it had been in years. She said that if LC was not getting it off I need to do something because at my weight I was going to be on meds again with my next bloodwork checkup in June. I got so mad I am going to find me another doc!!

Well..that is enough of my venting now..Now back to your LC show!! LOL

Hi Luz!! Everything is betting my tail right now..lol
Nice menu...keep it up!!

HUGS everyone!

Sue, I know you're the one to talk too!!! This time, I'm starting to get that feeling! It's uncomfortable too! My dad's partner is a really attractive person, but I get along with him like a brother. When I talk to him, I don't want that look on my face as if I'm blushing when I have to do my normal clerical work for him.

Hi Chris! Hope you're having a great day! I'm glad you're here too!
You're just as much a motivator as anyone here!!! Thank you!

I know Sue, I just keep putting it off. I dont' know why either. I guess it's the fear of the unknown. Plus, my mom went through menopause with no problems. I didn't even know she was on it! She didn't go to the dr for anything, so I'm thinking, maybe the same thing will work out for me.

She started meno at 48, I'm 47, so I wonder if this is my time and if this is my last year for TOM?

I just need to do it and get it over with. I bet I would feel better, but I'm just a little afraid to go.

Hi everyone! I need some encouragement and advice.

I'm moving tomorrow morning, and all I have for the next 2 meals is a barebones kitchen...meaning one glass, one pan, a fork, etc. I'm so strapped for time that all I want to do is order a pizza and have it for dinner and breakfast, but I'm resisting...hard. Nevertheless, fast food is going to have to be a very real possibility over the next 24 hours. What to do? I'm still in induction and I need to be very careful, but I also need plenty of energy to move into my new (third floor) apartment tomorrow morning! Any advice would be much appreciated!

Hi Vixxs,

If you must do fast food, then stick with the salads and burgers without the buns is my advice. It sounds stressful, and I am wishing all the best!

You can do it

Hello everyone. My first weigh in is 214.5. I am so mad at myself for gaining out of onederland, but I am getting back there and then to goal. I am tired of playing around with this weight.

Hope everyone has a good day on plan. Congrats on the weight losses reported!

Diana, I am 48. I have had a couple of hot flashes, but nothing regular. It scared me the first time it happened. I thought I was having an allergic reaction to something. Then I realized what it was. I am a nurse and I still didn't recognize it when it first happened.

Sue, I am glad you are feeling better.

Vixxs--instead of pizza get some Wendy's hamburger and eat them without the bun. Eat things with good fat and protein to keep you full and give you energy. You could try Atkins shakes for breakfast. Moving is stressful. Just do the best you can and don't beat yourself up about it, but don't go totally crazy with the eating or you know you will regret it.

My menu today is:

B: 2 eggs, bacon, coffee with davinci and 1/2 and 1/2
L: 4 eggs with ham and 1 oz. cheddar omelette
D: Filet mignon with roasted cauliflower and tossed salad (lettuce, tomato, feta) with 1 T. olive oil dressing, 1 glass of red wine ( I know not induction, but a glass of wine is healthy and it IS Friday and our nest is empty tonight) lol

Hi Vixxs, I agree with Jaimie.

Do you have a refrigerator available? If so, you can buy you some really good deli meats and use them with your salads. Buy you some string cheese and you can eat those. Cut up some celery sticks, eat some pork rinds.

I know it's going to be hard, but you can do it if you plan it out.
If you can think this through, you'll be okay. Alot of the time, we allow ourselves to get so hungry that we'll eat anything. So make sure you don't let yourself get to that point.

We're here for you anytime!!!

Thanks Tammy! You just had to say it. . ."red wine"!
I love red wine, but I can't have it for awhile.

I'm so glad we have a nurse in the house!! I feel so much better now!
You didn't recognize when you had hot flashes, I didn't even recognize when I had warm flashes! It just dawned on me too, that maybe this was the sign of. . . . THE THING THAT WOULDN'T LEAVE!!!!! <<SCREAM>>

What about a Taco Bell chicken taco salad (no beans or rice, or the shell)? I hope that was ok cause I already ate it...if not, give it to me straight and I'll know not to go there again!

LOL! You're funny Vixxs!
Sometimes you gotta do, what you gotta, you know! I would think the chicken is good even the cheese and some lettuce. I do know how hard it is to resist those taco shells though. I would have eaten it!

Just do the best you can Sweetie! In a pinch, that's all we can do.
