Hi again all! This was sent to me and I just thought I'd pass it along. It's a little long but worth the reading:

A Birth Certificate shows that we were born
A Death Certificate shows that we died
Pictures show that we lived!
Have a seat . . . Relax . . . And read this slowly

**********************************

I believe ..... That just because two people argue,
it doesn't mean they don't love each other.
And just because they don't argue,
it doesn't mean they do love each other.

I believe... That we don't have to change friends
if we understand that friends change.

I believe .... That no matter how good a friend is,
they're going to hurt you every once in a while
and you must forgive them for that.

I Believe.... That true friendship continues to grow,
even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.

I believe .... That you can do something in an instant that
will give you heartache for life.

I believe ..... That it's taking me a long time to
become the person I want to be.

I believe..... That you should always leave loved ones with
loving words. It may be the last time you see them .

I believe .... That you can keep going long
after you think you can't.

I believe ..... That we are responsible for what we do,
no matter how we feel.

I believe .... That either you control your attitude
or it controls you.

I believe ..... That heroes are the people who do
what has to be done when it needs to be done,
regardless of the consequences.

I believe.... That money is a lousy way of keeping score.

I believe..... That my best friend and I can do anything
or nothing and have the best time.

I believe..... That sometimes the people you expect to kick
you when you're down, will be the ones to help you get back up.

I Believe....... That sometimes when I'm angry I
have the right to be angry, but that doesn't
give me the right to be cruel.

I believe..... That maturity has more to do with what types
of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them
and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.

I believe..... That it isn't always enough to be forgiven by
others, sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I Believe...... That no matter how bad your heart is broken
the world doesn't stop for your grief.

I believe...... That our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

I Believe ....... That you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life Forever.

I believe ...... Two people can look at the exact same thing
and see something totally different.

I Believe....... That your life can be changed in a matter of
hours by people who don't even know you.

I believe...... That even when you think you have
no more to give, when a friend cries out to you -
you will find the strength to help.

I believe...... That credentials on the wall do not make
you a decent human being.

I Believe.... That you should pass this along to all of the
people that you believe in.

I believe in all of you wonderful people and know that we will all reach our goals with the love and support of this amazing group of ladies (and men if there are any). See you later!!!!

Might I add my WOW! to Mary's pic. Holy smoking bombshell.

good morning all!

After a couple of PM's from Twyla (she of the incredible bod) I have readjusted my menu yet again. here are the particulars:

No less than 1700 calories a day. Period.

10% carbs (43g)
15% protein (64g)
75% fat (142g)

With those numbers in mind, this morning's breakfast was a bit of a challenge. I ended up with

prebreakfast ... 1 ounce coconut "bark" topped with a TBS of cream cheese/pnut butter/heavy cream mix

regular coffee with 1.5 tsp of heavy cream and 4 drops liquid splenda (It's a BIG mug)

4 slices Maple Leaf Canadian Bacon
2 eggs scrambled in 4 tsp coconut oil
mug of decaf with 1.5 tsp heavy cream and 4 drops liquid splenda

for a whopping total of

532 calories
22g protein
49.8g fat
2g carbs

My lunch is going to be a large green salad made with romaine and butter lettuce, 1/3 cucumber, 4 radishes and a handful of grape tomatoes with 1 can of (drained) water packed tuna. Plus homemade vinegrette. And I can't find the right spelling. DANG I used to top my class when it came to spelling and now I misspell everything.

Dinner will be homemade rotisserie chicken with steamed veggies and lots of butter.

Snacks will be 2 or 3 more of those choco "bark" things topped with the CC/PB/Cream mix.

Oops. Forgot to mention I sidelined myself on Monday. Hubby sent me to get a couple of big bags of potting mix and I super strained my back hefting the darned things into the van.

He keeps telling me I should have had the guys at the store lift 'em but I keep telling him I was lucky they got off their backsides to even ring up the sale. sheesh. took his muscles relaxants yesterday so I slept a little better last night but I'm still hurtin'. Had wanted to get back to the gym and was thinking this would be the week but guess not.

Hi Sistah's,

WOW you all seem to be doing great.. Everyone is so upbeat. I love it.

Sorry I was missing yesterday. I spent almost 4 hrs. in Dr's office w/ DIL. She had to have a nerve block done. They stick a big needle up her spine then she has to lay there for an hr. when they finish she has to lay there for another hr. we sat in the waiting room for 1 -1/2 hrs ..grr it is also 40 minutes away from where we live. she can't drive afterwards because they give her pills to relax her. 2 years ago she got hurt at work . Instead of doing surgery . they ( the company she works for ) decided to try other methods. well 2 yrs later ,and she is no better. grrrrrr

Guess what , I had a visit from the woosh fairy..8 sticks of butter gone = 2 lbs.

Monday and Tuesday I really hit protein n veggies. I'm also using more CO. I think CO is helping. I'm not as hungry.

Chicken Lady...2 funny. NOW here's what I'd do I'd coax that chicken into my yard and the next think he'd see is a big stew pot..lol that was funny. yep drive slow are you'll here thump thump.

I agree fresh eggs are the best. we have a dairy farmer right down the road from us. he only has a few chickens now . he sells only to the neighbors ..glad I'm one of them.he only has one ,or two cows now. when I was a little girl ( sigh long time ago ) he use to go door to door selling milk n eggs. my mom bought from him every week.

I find that I can drink more water if I put lemons in it.

Meatloaf sounds wonderful..what time is dinner, and can I come over. lol

I am going to take sugar free cool whip and add one of those lemonade add ins like you put in water . mix it up then freeze it.

here is my made up recipe.

1 carton SF cool whip
1 small packet of crystal lite lemonade

mix ,and put into serving size container ( I use the glad ware 1/2 cup size ) makes 6 servings

I to have to have something with my pork rinds . I usually make homemade chicken salad ,and use that as a dip. OR, they are de-lish w/ ranch dressing as a dip.

WOW, am I long winded today, or what..opps thats everyday..lol

My mind is blank as far as names so I'm wav~~~~~ to all.

Keep up the good work ladies.

Rachel

Good Morning Ladies!!

Wow, I just love how you all have a sense of humor!! I read the posts and I just laugh!!!!

Chris, you had me laughing with the free range chickens!!! I bet they taste good!! I would love to buy fresh eggs myself, but right now, I'm not interested in eating an egg yet!
Hey easy time for you now, foodwise! I love my meals to be simple, no gourmet cooking for me. Just give me 4 ingredients to whip something up with! I bet you'll lose some lbs then!!

Mary!!! Woman you be HOT!!! That's a beautiful pic of you! I love you hair is so gorgeous!!!
I didn't even read you joke because I had to check out your pic! Good for you on the lbs down!!! Awesome!! Keep up the good work!!

Laura, you can do this! Good for on day 2!!! If you can't drink alot of water, don't worry, you'll get used to it, just drink what you can. You're menu looks good, but if you still feel hungry go ahead and eat something. It's good to have some boiled eggs on hand to much on. And I'm a pork rind lover! Good to dip things in like Chris said!!

Viv, way to hang in there!!! I know how habits are!! But soon you'll see that you don't feel as hungry. You're doing great, keep it up!!! I know you will see some losses!!!
Oh and we want to see a pic too!!!!

LOL, Jaimie, I know, I need to stop eating that!!! That is my weakness for sure! I need to do something else, maybe some sf jello. Thank you for keeping an eye out for me!!!

Hi Buddysgirl, Tricia, and Everyone!!

Golly, I've been trying to send this post since 2 hours ago!!

Love ya!!

Hey everyone! I thought with the Memorial Day weekend coming up this might be a recipe to try. It has about 6g of carbs per serving (makes 8 servings)

Creamy Marinated Vegetable Salad

Dressing:
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup dairy sour cream
3 tblspns French dressing
1 tablspn splenda
2 tblspns sliced green onion
2 tblspns tarragon vinegar or cider vinegar
1/2 tspn salt

Salad:
1 cup bite-size cauliflower flowerets
1 cup bite-size broccoli flowerets
1 cup (2 stalks) sliced 1/4" celery
1 cup (1 medium) sliced 1/4" carrot
1 cup (1medium) 1/2" pieces green pepper
1 cup (1 medium) peeled, seeded, 1/2" pieces cucumber

In large bowl stir together all dressing ingredients. Add all salad ingredients; toss to coat well. Cover and refrigerate 6 hours or overnight. Just before serving toss to coat well. Serve and enjoy!!

Diana, thanks for the good wishes and I love your new avi!

that creamy veg salad sounds a bit like my cole slaw recipe. sour cream and mayo, a packet or two of splenda and a couple of big splashes of red wine vinegar. I used to use the raspberry vinegar until I saw how many carbs! DANG. Stir into shredded cabbage and add any or all of the following: small handful of dried cranberries, small handful of pine nuts, small can of mandarin oranges-- drained. Just be creative. It's just yummy!

Hi Ladies,
I told Jen I would post this recipe. I think it will help with our cravings!!

bark is like a chocolate bar.

4 Tbs EVCO
1 Tbs Cocoa powder
2 OZ almonds (optional)
16 drops liquid stevia (or I use 2 droppers of English Toffee flavor, this is excellent)
1/4 tsp of vanilla extract

Melt CO in micro for 1 min, add everything but the almonds and use a wisk to mix VERY well. Then add almonds, mix again and stick in freezer till hard. Simple, easy, and quick!

Here's another recipe!

CHOCOLATE COCONUT BARK
20 grams Lindt 85% cocoa chocolate, 2 squares
1/4 cup coconut oil
1 tablespoon granular Splenda or equivalent liquid Splenda

Break the chocolate up into small pieces and put in a microwaveable bowl along with the coconut oil. Microwave on 50% power about 1 minute or until the chocolate has melted. Add the Splenda and stir to blend well. Pour into a small container lined with nonstick foil. Freeze until firm then break or chop into pieces. Store in the freezer for best results. It melts very quickly at room temperature.

Makes 2-4 servings

With granular Splenda:
1/4 Recipe: 145 Calories; 16g Fat; 1g Protein; 1g Carbohydrate; trace Dietary Fiber; 1g Net Carb
1/2 Recipe: 290 Calories; 32g Fat; 1g Protein; 3g Carbohydrate; 1g Dietary Fiber; 2g Net Carbs

With liquid Splenda:
1/4 Recipe: 144 Calories; 16g Fat; 1g Protein; 1g Carbohydrate; trace Dietary Fiber; trace Net Carbs
1/2 Recipe: 287 Calories; 32g Fat; 1g Protein; 1.5g Carbohydrate; 1g Dietary Fiber; .5g Net Carbs

I think I'll have to make some now!!!

Goodnight Ladies!!

well i am back down to where i was, the water weight is gone this a.m.... now i need to keep moving it further down the scale! ever wonder why a scale and men both lie to us???!!

Lady Di, the recipe looks yummy! i need to get some CO now. i think my DH will be griping soon if he sees how much lately i've gone gung-ho w/this buying this stuff! hahaha i had a nice chat w/ya last night too!

i think i plan on strict induction the next 2 weeks and may allow myself a tad of leway on DD grad party. we'll see.. i'd rather not so i may have to come up w/more on plan foods for her party (we're not having it at the house so needs to be bake n'take type stuff)... most things i'm having catered or just out right buying so i don't spend alot of time cooking as we'll have company in town. anyone has easy ideas??? i'll take all of 'em!!!

actually Lady C's recipe up there looks yummy! my vegetarian sister would eat that!! hmmm..... i just know the grads coming won't really want to sit and eat, they'll want more hand held foods and easy eating but i may work in a few other items.... i bet that salad is pretty yummy!

Chicken Lady Chris ( ) i'm sorry you were having a bad day!!! hope today goes better for ya!! it's sunny here (tho only high of about 69 today) but enough to make ya cheery!!

Laura - hope your plan is going well!! still inducing?? no cheating!! you can do it!!

Darleen - hope things going well for you too!! any loss yet?? i think that is a good plan and hopefully you find the right combo/percentage of items that work for ya. you've done so well!!

Good morning all you beautiful ladies!! Woohoo I lost another pound. I'm sorry I don't put a menu up but I don't really follow one. I just kind of eat whatever has low carbs and go from there. I'm not much of a plan ahead person when it comes to eating. SORRY!!

DH will be home Friday and doesn't have to go back until Tuesday so I'll have him home for a few days

Just finished my Total Gym workout and now I'm going to go have a shower. I'll check back in later.

Just a quick reminder....you ladies are awesome and don't you forget it!!!!

Many romance Languages (Italian, Spanish, French) give even inanimate objects a gender. In French, for example, this determines whether you use "la" or "le" in front of the noun. If English designated things as either male or female, here are a few of our recommendations...

COPIER: Female, because once turned off, it takes a while to warm up. Because it is an effective reproductive device when the right buttons are pushed. Because it can wreak havoc when the wrong buttons are pushed.

HAMMER: Male, because it hasn't evolved much over the last 5,000 years, but it's handy to have around.

HOT AIR BALLOON: Male, because to get it to go anywhere you have to light a fire under it... and, of course, there's the hot air part.

HOURGLASS: Female, because over time, the weight shifts to the bottom.

KIDNEYS: Female, because they always go to the bathroom in pairs.

REMOTE CONTROL: Female... Ha! You thought I'd say male. But consider it gives a man pleasure. He'd be lost without it. Lastly while he doesn't always know the right buttons to push, he keeps trying.

SHOES: Male, because it is usually unpolished, with its tongue hanging out.

SPONGES: Female, because they are soft and squeezable and retain water.

SUBWAY: Male, because it uses the same old lines to pick people up.

SWISS ARMY KNIFE: Male, because even though it appears useful for a wide variety of work, it spends most of its time just opening bottles.

TIRES: Male, because it goes bald and often is over inflated.

WEB PAGE: Female, because it is always getting hit on.

ZIPLOC BAGS: Male, because they hold everything in, but you can always see right through them.

Good Morning Ladies!!

Oh everyone is in a wonderful mood!! Yeah!!! I woke up to another loss myself! I'm back at 203. . .again. . and started Monday at 205. . .again! So not a realy loss, but still the scale is going down!

I made the coconut bark last night and oh, how I missed it!! I used some Kahlua Davinci syrup and a little Stevia and made them in a mini muffin pan, threw it in the freezer and ate a couple of them about 10 minutes later. Just what I needed to curb the hunger and sugar pangs!!

So today I got to the Dr office and I have to tell him about my not having a period and possibley going into meno or being pre-meno. If he suggests any hormone pills after I get blood work done, what are the best ones to take? I don't want to take any that are going to make me grow hair on my face, lol, or talk with a deep voice!

Anyway, I'll check back later at work and see if anyone has any ideas!

Hi Mary, loved that joke! How true are they!! LOL!! Good for you on being down another lb!! Whoohoo!!! You're on a roll now, keep it up!!!
Don't worry about not posting a menu, it's not required to post here, lol!!
I hope you have a great weekend with your HOT hubby!!!

Hi Jen, I hope you get a chance to buy some of the coconut oil, make sure it's extra virgin kind, there are several out there that don't have the taste of CO, but you can use to cook with. The kind I have tastes like coconut. But you can cook your eggs in it, your veggies and for the bark. It's yummy!!!

Hi Jaimie, how are you doing? You're such a busy lady lately, but that's good, keeps the day going fast!!

day two-no cream cheese concoction (its a good thing)

i am soo excited to try this coconut bark...i have a mini muffin pan too! oh good! i can finally use it more now!!! i would like to know where i can get the lindt chocolate?? would that be in the baking section??

also....heard that when you receive the vco its hard?? i should be receiving my netrition order with my vco, and davinci syrups by the end of the week!!!

last night, i watched a few you tube episodes of , livin la vida lo carb....it was fun!! it reaffirms why i am doing low carb!! i have to admitt, i am celebrating my anniversary w/ DH in two weeks....they serve cheescake and champagne upon arriving at the hotel we are running away, anyways, i was actually planning a day of full cheating!! i have now relized, that if i want to make this WOE apart of my life, i need to take myself seriously!!!!!

i need to take a piece of my own advice, and plan ahead, be prepared, and have LC alternatives!! there is no reason why i shouldnt be able to make a LC cheesecake at home and take it with us!!! i can also bring along some yummy coconut bark....the only thing left to talk myself out of is having a breakfast of delectable crepes!!!

i would feel different about this, if i were further along in my weight loss, like in maintanence but, i will still be in OWL by then.....i will not sabatoge myself. i have alternatives!

maybe i will stop eating eggs right now, and then by the time june 6th rolls around i will be CRAVING OMLETTES....?

gotta run guys....i will check back with ya all later.
