Laura,
Good for you my friend!! You know, I have read lots of posts in the ML about folks having a wonderful start to their weightloss, you can do it too ![]() You may want to read Cleochatra's posts, she has lost quite a bit of weight in 2008 so far, so she is a very inspirational lady...plus, she is a very witty writer, you will enjoy her posts! Jamie - thanks for the carbquick info!! I thought it would helpful to use it but i agree, it does seem like too much of it may quickly add the carbs. I figure i would use a bit as my pizza crust tonight instead of the egg/cheese mixture on the other thread. Just something more close to actual crust since i'm forgoing papa johns! hahaha i thought just an extra dash or two of it in anything "muffin or bread" style would help give the right texture to things w/o using the full mix to make them. atleast i am hoping!! enjoy your netrition order!! i was tickled to get it! it's all new stuff for me and it was like christmas, trying out new things i got in my gift box! hhahaha
laura - yes i think that is a reasonable goal! i dind't show a loss today, i want to try to back down some of the things i've been eating. tho i've stayed below 20 carbs (except the refeed last week!) i have had more fat and cream than normal. maybe more protein too and not enough veggies?? i have veggies daily but maybe not enough. log your stuff in fit day and try to track your meals... when i do i find it helps me! you can do it girl!! menu - b-2 flax n'almond flour pancakes w/SF syrup and chamomile tea l - tbd - maybe salad d - pizza (on plan pizza too!! i gave hubby list of items to still pick up for me so i don't scarf down their papa johns!hhahaha) i too enjoy cleo! she is soo funny! she reminds me of a gal i used to work with, personality and all comes out in her writing! my friend Mel uses her talents in acting and is part of a theatre group, but i see soo much of their personalities are the same! i love cleo's posts and recipies and her writing is funny and light hearted... a really great person! ok all, i'm off to work.. i'll try to check in later... i guess Di slept in today! hahaha

good morning ladies! Thought I'd better check in.
Still no loss on the scale (up to 194.4 and HATING it!) BUT ... I took my measurements this morning and was surprised to see the main measurements (bust, waist, abodmen and hips) have not changed one iota. Now how weird is that? Am now on the EFGT and am aiming at 1500 calories with 10% carbs, 15% protein and 75% fat. AFter reading through some posts I realized I may actually be eating too much protein so I'm going to hold it down a bit and see if that helps. I sure enjoyed the 2 days on the protein shakes though. I may have one for lunch cause I really missed the fruit these last couple of months. I'm carefully measuring it so i don't overdo but it's nice to have a little blueberry or strawberry -- this morning had 1/2 a small pink grapefruit that has been languishing in my fruit drawer since the first of March. LOL yup it's still good. Had 2 hard boiled eggs and 3 Schwan's sausage links. mmmm. Lunch: probably a protein shake (homemade) dinner: TBD

Hi Ladies!!
Oh I so want to post to everyone but I have to leave right now and run and errand. But I do want to say this, Hi Chris!! I'm so glad your back!! What a fun time you had, and that's awesome the you ate on plan!! Good for you! I would have drank a little too during a celebration as well. You sound so chipper!! I love it!!!Laura, you can do this! I started last April and by June I had already lost 38 lbs. If you eat like you're supposed too, you can lose. I ate mostly meat and chicken during induction along with the allowed veggies and or salads. I would eat the protein and fat until satisfied, that's what helped me to not feel hungry. That's the key and let your veggies and salads be 15 to 20% of your carb intake. If you feel like you're struggling come here and we'll help you out!!! ![]() Jen, I would eat the toppings of the pizza only and throw them on a salad. It is so good that way! Or make a small low carb pizza with the cheese or cauli and throw some toppings on it. Either way you're safe!! ![]() I'm sorry I have to leave, but I will say Hi to everyone when I come back. I haven't forgotten about you!!!! ![]() Love Ya Ladies!!!

good morning everyone!!
hoping everyone has a successful induction day....i have decided that i MUST learn how to master those oopsies. i would like to start having them as my sweet treat in the evenings....with what i dont know, as we are not able to eat sf jelly during induction! jennifer, really excited to read that you received your order! yipppeee! your pizza idea sounds great!! laura, i think that is a great goal. just keep it clean, and maybe throw in some exercise and youve got it made! that is my goal for my last week of induction. i am going to limit the heavy cream and cream cheese and see what happens!!? rodcat and whoever else is finishing up there last week of induction.....high fives alllll around! lets finish strong! ![]() we have a family picnic saturday.....they are serving hoagies...i figured i would make some oopsies (crossing fingers) and a seven layer salad, and call it good. yes, i will be dodging the birthday cake that will be brought out to celebrate my fil b day!! its all about alternatives--right? looking forward to seeing how everybody is doing...BBL!

![]() Well, I seem to be stuck again. Stupid scale! I even threatened to throw it out and get a new one. Didn't seem to phase it at all. I know it can get frustrating trying to lose those nasty pounds but you will. Just keep hanging in there. We're all in this together. I know that coming in here is a huge pick-me-up when I get down about not losing as fast as I want or putting on a pound instead of losing it. You are all such an inspiration ![]() I have to run to the grocery store so I will be check in later. Have a blessed day! Mary ![]() FIRST MAMMOGRAM Many women are afraid of their first mammogram, but there is no need to worry. By taking a few minutes each day for a week preceding the exam, and doing the following practice exercises, you will be totally prepared. And you can do this right in your own home! Exercise 1 Open your refrigerator door and insert one breast between the door and the main box. Have one of your strongest friends slam the door shut and lean on the door for good measure. Hold that position for five seconds (while you hold your breath). Repeat again, in case the first time wasn't effective enough. Exercise 2 Visit your garage at 3 am when the temperature of the cement floor is just perfect. Take off your clothes and lie comfortably on the floor with one breast wedged under the rear tire of the car. Ask a friend to slowly back the car up until your breast is sufficiently flattened and chilled. Turn over and repeat for the other breast. Exercise 3 Freeze two metal bookends overnight. Strip to the waist. Invite a stranger into the room. Press the bookends against one of your breasts. Smash the bookends together as hard as you can. Set an appointment with the stranger to meet next week and do it again!! CONGRATULATIONS! Now you have nothing at all to worry about when you go for your mammogram!

Hello again!
Hi Darleen, I hope the EFGT helps! Hi Mary, oh those darn scales!! Hi Viv, I hope that you get those oopsies down pat! I just take my time when I do that, and what's easy for me is a metal slotted spoon, so the mixture goes through. After about 3 times I finally got them looking good! ![]() Try the recipe that Buddysgirl did, she covered hers in chocolate glaze. Yum! Hi Mary2, good to see you here! Wow, crazy at work huh! I hope you finally slow down a bit and get to chat with us. And darn that TOM!! You'll be back down again!!! ![]() Talk to you all later!!! Love Ya!! |

Hello Ladies!
Thanks for the Welcome back!! Well, I didn't gain any weight so I guess I did pretty good even with the wine and champagne ![]() I have to tell you all I made oopsies today and they came out great cause I used a muffin top pan. My DH gave me money for Mother's Day so that is one of the things I got. I think it was 13.90 or something like that on Amazon...Free ship if you spend over $25..It is worth it if you make a lot of oopsies. Darleen If your measurements haven't changed I bet you will drop off some of the lbs the scale is showing...has to be water. Hi Moretta it has been cold here too! So ready for warm sunny weather!!!! Mary Loved today's funny!!! Viv- Good for you planning ahead for parties is very crucial to staying on plan. Just remember you will feel so much better if you pass up that cake than if you eat it. It can't be that good. Jen OOHH! Poppa John's is my favorite pizza! I just sometimes eat the toppings too. Like Diana said. Laura good for you on re-induction! I bet you can reach your goal...and if not you will at least lose some weight ![]() Tiff I bet the exercise will jump start you to a loss!! Good Luck! Christina hoping you are feeling better soon! Read that TOM is giving you a rough time of it!! Hope to hear from you soon! Miss ya!Hi Jaime I agree with you about Cleo she seems like she would be a cool person to hang out with doesn't she? Hi Diana it sounds like you are doing pretty good! Back to Stillman's eh? Hope it works for ya! Would be great to show a loss at the dr. Hope to be back this evening maybe we can all chat!Love ya ladies!!!!

Secret to the oopsies is to beat the whites until they stand up and salute. Room temp egg whites also helps but I have found not really necessary. whip the whites, whip 'em good. I thought I'd overwhipped mine yesterday because I wasn't paying close attention. I've never had egg whites so stiff but the oopsies were great. had a better texture and held up through our juicy burgers instead of melting.

I have lost over 100 lbs and I am getting ever close to 40 and my body just dont want to let go of the rest of the weight. I am also wondering if SAs could be causing some of my pain. I got to get me some Liquid Stevia to try soon. I am really hurting today with my Author...just dont want to let go of me!!Ok..here is my menu for the day B- 2 sausage muffins and 2 eggs..after what Di said about her eggs this morning I think I am going to come off them too for awhile!! Buddysgirl - I would say to add in more veggies. dinner looks good but maybe a side salad w/a pizza slice for lunch. just my opinion. good ideas though!!
my favorite sweet for oopsies (when they come out right!) is to take a bit of heavy whip cream, beat it till stiff, add 1 pkt splenda or stevia and dash of vanilla extract or DV vanilla syrup. top it on your oopsie and is like a shortcake w/whipped cream!! YUMM!!!!! gosh, all kinds of good oopsie tips! i've not let my eggs come to room temp either. wonder if that was problem? but darleen does ok w/her not being like that. not only do i not have a green thumb for gardening, also for speciality baking!! ahaha ![]() Chris, dear Mac!! glad to see ya back!! missed ya! good places for printers is Best Buy (my absolute favorite store!!) and you can price Comp USA or Staples. but go to www.pricewatch.com and compare who has what the cheapest!! ![]() Well guys, i'm about to leave work, late shift... and go pick up their papa john pizza... i may try picking just toppings off.. only prob is my family HATES toppings other than the basic pepperonni, cheese and occass. mushrooms. i love mine w/the works (minus the sausage!!) i just don't know if i could stop at just picking toppings w/o biting into the crust!! i'll just make me own and pilfer toppings from their pizza! if i don't catch ya all later tonight, i'll see ya in the a.m.! if i missed anyone today, SORRY!!!! ![]() |
